Within 48 hours of the oil change, I experienced a significant oil or fluid leak that has since caused my serpentine belt to pop and my engine to overheat. This has resulted in both safety concerns and costly repair needs. Given the circumstances and the direct timeline between the service and the damage, I need to discuss this matter with the district manager promptly to determine a resolution. I arrived for a brake inspection, to be told they won't look at them and that I should go back to who did them originally

This is the worse place to get service. Rude staff who don't know what they are doing. I went in for a regular oil change and the tech who worked underneath my car in the pit (Antony) forgot to put the screws back to secure the flap door underneath or didn't tighten them up after he supposedly changed the oil filter. This resulted in the "flap door panel" falling down and dragging along the highway on 695 when I got on. This damaged the flap door and ripped it apart underneath. I followed Jiffy Lubes policy on the back of the receipt and even contacted their Corporate Office who just refers you back to them. You also can't get a real manager on the phone. I stopped in on a Sunday morning after my back tire pressure read 14 psi I pulled in behind a van on one of the bays and I was helped by a young man, I think his name may have been Jeff or Josh. Handsome man And I explained to him what was going on and he told me to pull to the side of the building that has the air pump. I sat there for no less than 5 minutes when he came over and asked me which tire needed air and proceeded to fill it up to the manufacturer's spec. Prompt service, great attitude. Went here for a routine oil change in November and one of the techs comes and gets loud and smart with me from the start, saying I owe $200+ for services I received in June, saying I left without paying and that they've "been trying to contact me" since then, but they don't have my number on file so I get June's receipt from the car and show him, he spends the next 10 minutes on the phone with his boss having the same conversation 20 times until I show him my bank statement where the money came out, then it was "oh, it was my boss' mistake." Yeah lol I bet it was. So how were y'all trying to contact me if you didn't have my number? And if I really skipped out on my bill, why would I come back?? before I could even get serviced a young African American women had a bad attitude and all I did was pull into the jiffy line. So I left without service. DO NOT USE this Jiffy Lube. The people are who work here are rude and have no idea what they are doing. They have the zero communication skills and messed up my oil tank, I had to go to the dealership and pay double to get it fixed. One example of how awful they are, my tires did not need air...they were fine before I went in. After the "oil change" one tire was over inflated and one tire was completely under inflated. This morning around 7:30a (9/16/2023) A mechanic (Devin? Kevin? Something like that) refused to give us an oil change. No real reason was given. He said it was the engine without even a glance. We broke down in the middle of Rt 40 not long after. We really think if we were able to get the oil changed this morning , that would have helped. Now our car is sitting somewhere until we can get it fixed. He was rude and abrupt and abrasive. I've been going to this location for a few years now and now I FULLY understand why people don't recommend them! I had my oil changed around the first of the year then I started to have trouble within the past few weeks, it's a 2014, with cutting off. I took it to my mechanic and come to find the out the problem only to find out they NEVER changed my oil filter that caused the sludge getting into the engine that caused my car to stall and they had to change both oil pressure controllers, a cleaning plus an oil change that cost me almost $400! I WOULD NOT recommend this Jiffy Lube location to ANYONE, they're service is HORRIBLE and I wish I would have listened to my friends and other reviews sooner!!! read more

Without telling the oil prices they removed oil and they are asking $140 for oil change. So they forcefully asking the customer to pay the money what ever they said. Finally all customers came and argued the they reduced price to $83. I asked this question Then they removed bolts for my car engine protect cover/guard(bottom of the engine) After one day only I identified this issue. Completely cheeting the customers. Look like I cried my situation.. horrible experience. Look like I am planning to call police/cops , that type of horrible experience. Rent to this place yesterday around 5 p.m. they close at 6:30 got a quotation for oil change they told me there would be a wait time although there was only two cars there so I decided to go the next day. I had to replace my battery on 2011 X3 and I thought this should be an easy job for someone in this profession but little did I know that these guys are completely incompetent and rude. I paid them as much as a dealer would have charged and have been dealing with a new alert on my dashboard originated due to wrong connections of the battery supplementary cables. If I could give 0 stars I would. On my most recent visit for an oil change and tire location, the mechanic broke off a lug nut on one of my wheels. He said he could not replace it and that we would have to take it somewhere else to get a new one. It was a cheap fix however another trip to the store and wait. Last summer the mechanic at jiffy lube shared that I needed my differential fluid refilled so I took his recommendation. Then I noticed last week that my car was leaking differential fluid which is odd since it's a 2018. I took it to the dealer this time and jiffy line put the wrong gasket was used when dealing the differential fluid. This was not a cheap fix. We will no longer be using jiffy lube for service ever again and nor should you unless you want to spend hundreds of dollars to fix their mistakes. read more

Took my car here yesterday for an oil change and tire rotation. The customer service was very nice and the oil change was quick. The problem started when I drove away. There was a really strong burning smell coming from my car. I opened the hood and it turns out that when they topped off the oil, they spilled oil all over the engine bay and it was smoking and burning off. I took my car to the dealership to address a separate problem today and discovered that Jiffy Lube neglected to put my transmission fluid cap back on after they checked my levels and fluid was leaking out. They do everything they can to rip you off. Last time they put in Mobil 1 oil, which is a $20 up charge without asking me. After I got irate, they took the charge off. Today, they say that I have a special oil filter and charged me an additional $10 on top of the $79 charge for the oil change. This business is not interested in satisfying customers. They assume all their customers are idiots then proceed to rip them off every way possible. Don't you guys know that I'll need my oil changed in another 5000 miles? I only come here in an emergency. Ok sooo you can see my original review below buuuutttt...this place has a new owner and it has plummeted in service and quality. I was initially greeted with a handshake by the new owner which was nice. But it all went downhill after that... He was just shy of argumentative when he was trying to get me to replace my cabin air filter (No, thank you.). Also, they could not rotate tires because no one working "knew how to work the lift"...(?). When he called me up to complete my transaction, his mood went to completely dismissive after I showed my $5 off coupon. He then basically barked "You have bad transmission fluid and a weak battery" at me. I said "Excuse me? 'Bad' transmission fluid?! What's that mean?". He said "It's brown, it needs to be changed at 30,000 miles." (my car has 35k)...ummmm I have NEVER heard that before in all my 20 years of driving cars. 100k, maybe, but I'm no dumb blonde. So, anyway, that was about the extent of our interaction and then I turned to walk out the door just in time to see the tech bring my car around driving it like he stole it; I still can't believe he didn't put it up on two wheels when he whipped around the corner. They left the dirty water from washing the windows dripping down the side of the car as a nice treat, too. I will not return and I will be sure to steer others away. ORIGINAL: Great experience! Went by on my lunch break since I was way overdue for an oil change. They were very friendly and professional. Not pushy at all which is much appreciated. The servicing of my truck went very fast and was informed about what needed to be done on a future visit. I will be retuning for next oil change at this location . Came in with a Groupon a week ago for an oil change with tire rotation on a freezing cold morning before work. The front desk attendant was super friendly and inviting. They showed me my air filters and were honest that I didn't need them replaced, however, they did notice my tires were bad. That's to be expected after multiple 12 hour trips along the coast in the last year. The oil and tire changes were both super quick and easy, but i had to wait about 20-30 minutes for the delivery of the tires from the warehouse. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because I was only recommended to need replacement of 2 tires, but i just came back from a local mechanic who told me I had issues with the tires which weren't removed. Most of these types of places are usually managed by idiots and staffed by boneheads. For whatever reason this jiffy Lube is managed well and staffed by guys who know what they are doing. Service is professional and polite. Ive only been here twice - once in the summer and just recently for an oil change. They also changed my brake light which I didn't know was out. Both times the staff was efficient and quick. Prices are mediocre but I guess thats true of all these oil changing places. read more

I've gone to this location a few times when I've needed an oil change, and never had an issue until the past two times. The first time the employees were unprofessional and rude, specifically when I said no towards their add-on services. This last, past time I went in for an oil change they charged me without even changing my oil. I noticed they were in and out quickly within 10 minutes (which normally it takes them about 20), but didnt think much of it until I recently got my oil changed again and was told I was well overdue in an oil change (3/4K miles over). Not an honest place. I called before I came and asked for the price over the phone for an oil change. Came to the location, was greeted immediately but was told my car required the most expensive oil-not true. A lot of games, back and forth, a lot of trying to up sell, and I had a coupon for $15 off then when we went to figure out the payment he charged me an extra $5 "to use a certain tool to put the oil in" - lie. So that the 15$ off would be only 10. They also only vacuumed half of my car...and they asked if I wanted to know why my check engine light was on and they never told me and I forgot until I left the location. If you do go, bring someone who knows cars so they can't lie to you and overcharge you. read more

This Jiffy Lube shop on route 40 in catonsville is one of the best/honest places in the business. I've been taking my jeep as well as my family's cars to this particular jiffy lube for well over 7 years. From the second you park your car the staff/mechanics are very respectful and friendly. And if you're a repeat customer most of the time theyll recognize you and personally great you giving the place a small town non chain atmosphere. From the waiting room to the work area the place is very clean and orderly. They also have free coffee and a cold water dispenser machine in the waiting area while you read the magazines or rifle thru yur phone. They do come back w a suggested check list that may need your attention - but they never pressure you. They just mention it and that's all. Again no pressure with their suggested check list. Which is just so nice compared to most of the other pushy chop shops. On occasion I've taken them up on their suggestions. They're really into preventing your car from future issues rather than just fixing current situations while in their garage. The prices are reasonable - I've seen all the prices go up in the past few years but its expected. But the price is worth the excellent and timely service along with the respectful, courteous and non pressuring mechanics. Take your car to these guys. Hands down - the best. read more

My change oil alert came on didn't have time to make an appointment for the dealer. My vehicle is 10 months old On my trip I noticed oil stains under my vehicle thinking it was somebody else's vehicle. Lifted the hook I have no oil on my dipstick.
