I got my usual matcha soft serve on a cone and it came in a huge swirl on a waffle cone. The ice cream had a strong matcha flavor and was creamy and fluffy. I will say I had this at 9:30 pm and couldn't sleep due to the strength of the matcha but that goes to show that they really put a good amount! A great place to have some quick dessert in Fort Lee!

It turned out the red bean was spoiled, so I had to go back and ask them to remake the drink without it. This time, on 12/27 around 5:30 PM, I ordered a hojicha latte. After placing my order, I noticed there was a free size upgrade promotion running throughout December, so I asked if my drink could be upgraded. The staff member said no, explaining that it had to be done while ordering for the promotion to apply. That excuse felt very lame and honestly came across as laziness, especially since it was a free upgrade and could have easily been accommodated. At another Maiko location (Garden State Plaza), the staff proactively informed me about the promotion and asked if I wanted the upgrade, which is what I would expect. Unfortunately, the Fort Lee location didn't offer the same experience. Even after I asked, it felt like I was given weak excuses rather than a genuine effort to help. On top of that, the hojicha latte here was overly milky. I've had the same drink at other Maiko locations where it tasted much nuttier and more balanced, so this was disappointing. I really love Maiko overall, but based on these experiences, I wouldn't visit the Fort Lee location again.

There's a counter as well as booths. You can get some candy or ice cream to go as well as get some quick bites and of course, ice cream. I wanted to start with something standard to see how they did it and got a pineapple sundae with vanilla ice cream. The whipped cream and cherry on top made it adorable, and the ice cream was creamy and very vanilla. The wet walnut sundae also paired well with it. Both were just overflowing right out of the dish. Even though it's simple, it wasn't basic. We were served quickly and with pretty and tasty desserts. I admire the local history captured in photos. There is plenty of street parking nearby. The old school vibe is missed in a lot of places, so it's nice to sit down, relax, and just have a splendid treat.

I made the mistake of not getting ice cream so I can't share on that even though people I was with said it was incredible. I know that the ice cream is the star of the show. Got the classic cheese burger, it was great. You really feel like you are in the past with this place but in a good way honestly. Awesome place you'll need to go to in Jersey, the staff was grumpy and fighting the whole time but whatever lol

It came to the United States in 1770, is made with milk, typically does not include eggs, and has a dense texture from a slower churning speed than ice cream. Located on Market Street in Elmwood Park, my partner and I came to this family-operated establishment celebrating 25 years. Upon entering the cozy Four Seasons as first-timers, we were in the mood for some homemade gelato. There were a few classics one will find, such as chocolate, hazelnut, coffee, and stracciatella (vanilla with crunchy chocolate pieces), as well as pistachio, all written in Italian. They also feature hard ice cream, cakes, pastries, and coffee. We decided on a small chocolate and medium banana and sat outside at one of the two available tables. The texture was silkier and softer with a bold, intense flavor and authenticity. The price was comparable to the area. The young staff could have been a bit more sociable. We can recommend this place.

The small little shop filled with robust flavors and dozens of choices for you to enjoy from. I'd recommend anyone to taste the gelato. There was a bit of a line to order as the two girls in front of us were asking to try every flavor and you could even tell the staff helping them was getting frustrated. I would recommend a limit to how many flavors you can try and posted signage. I shouted over them asking if we could order because there was a long line and those girls were just being extremely rude and difficult to the staff and other customers waiting. Have to say the flavors at maroons are very impressive whether you get soft serve or hard ice cream you will not be disappointed. We got the pistachio and butter pecan. You can tell the genuine homemade ice cream consistency by the ice cream and most if not all flavors are gluten free and have no food coloring which is so hard to find nowadays. It definitely gets crazy on weekends now that the warmer weather is out and the portions a bit oversized but you will love whatever you end up ordering! The inside has tables and high top seating and in the warmer seasons they usually put a few tables outside as well.

My friends and I perused the menu before we went and they certainly have some unique offerings. The Asian-inspired flavors really piqued my interest (kulfi, masala chai, ube, etc.). Given how late it was the store wasn't too packed. Service was very friendly and the staff offered to have us sample the ice cream flavors. My friend and I opted for ice cream served in bubble waffles and the staff member informed me it would take a while because since it was so close to closing they only had 1 waffle maker going. They have such a wide variety of flavors so I'm sure you'll find something you like. I got a kulfi sundae and was very pleased with the how creamy it was. The bubble waffle was nice and fresh too. I tried my friends' ice creams and they were just as good. The place is spacious and clean. I could see myself coming back. Bonus points for having a clean bathroom.
