I'm a new homeowner that recently acquired an in ground saltwater pool, that I had absolutely no idea how to maintain or assess if it was in working condition. Thankfully, Garrett was able to inspect the pool prior to me closing on the house in order to ensure there weren't any significant issues (or red flags) that would require a costly, immediate repair. Scheduleding with Garrett was easy. He was very accessible by phone (via text) and was able to squeeze me into his schedule with only a couple days notice, even during peak pool season. I'm super thankful for him, otherwise I may have bought an expensive nonfunctioning pool. On the day of inspection, Garret was very professional. He explained to me his findings as he performed the inspection. He even provided me with a quick tutorial in how to operate my pool. There were so many switches!! He understood confidentiality and even pulled me aside for minor issues (loose pool light, cracked top pool step, and a leaky jet return that was not connected to the main pump) I may have wanted to discuss with my real estate attorney to be put in escrow funds. Overall, he confirmed there was no alarming issues that would need costly repairs. And, in the end, he spoke honestly and said, if he were the buyer, he would feel confident moving forward with the purchase. That alone gave me the peace of mind to close on the house. I would highly recommend Garrett for all your pool service needs. His prices are fair and reasonable. Way more affordable than the quotes I received from 2 other stores for pool inspections. I want to brag about Garrett who I only spoke through texts when inquiring about an Aqaulink kit to replace my old control center with for my pool. I was totally surprised not only how quickly he got back to me but how much support he gave me on the phone. He actually doesn't do the specific conversion I needed but he never stopped answering my questions and gave me several suggestions to try getting the product I needed. Can't believe I didn't review Garrett prior. Sorry! I've been using him for three seasons now, opening and closing only, and I can't complain. Might not seem like much, but it is. Knowing my $30K investment is opened and closed properly is very important. My pool is literally crystal clear when he opens it. I know that's mostly due to the solid Loop-Loc cover, but, he installs it correctly. Remember, these covers are nearly $5K alone, important to take care of them as well. Garrett organizes everything, removes the cell without you asking, manages to actually get the cover in the storage bag as if it was factory-packed, and is just a good guy. He has also saved me money on service-related visits just by offering me advice. He's not the type to take your money for nothing and that's rare these days. When he first came, I was shocked because it's just Garrett, and one assistant. The other guys I used sent four guys and it would take them a little over an hour, messing around with hand-trucks, and whatnot. Garrett is in-and-out in less than 30-minutes I'd say. So happy I found this company. I reached out to several companies on this app and even though Garrett from GZ pool works couldn't provide weekly Maintanence, he was able to come out and power vac for us. He and his partner came in and got right to work. He also gave my husband a bunch of tips on how to maintain the pool. He saw that the filter was very dirty and washed it and had everything running up to par. We opened our pool June 7th but had the hardest time getting it clean. Communication: There is NO guesswork with Garrett. You know when he is coming months in advance. I've used Garrett for years, and he has never missed an appointment, and if there ever comes a time that he does, I will know in advance because he will let me know. I can't say enough about how easy Garrett is to deal with. Furthermore, he is in direct communication weeks before the appointment by providing detailed information about the opening or closing. On the day of the appointment, I know whether Garrett is ahead or behind schedule because he communicates with me. 2. Experience: I have an 18x40 inground pool, and every year, Garrett brings his experience, knowledge, and professionalism when opening and closing my pool. Takes days to get a response, doesn't call back and is not a nice person to deal with. I used Garrrett for the first time this year to close my pool. Easy to reach by cell phone. No need for repeat calls or waiting for call backs. We set a date to close and confirmed it, reminded me of what I was expected to do in advance. On the scheduled day, he let me know he was running a bit late. He showed up and was very efficient in closing the pool, which translates into a very fair price for his work. There was one slight issue that required him to return and he did so promptly within a few days. All in all, a very good experience and hopefully the start of a long relationship.
