We hired them for a power vacuum and were scheduled for Monday 6/22 between 11-3. When I got home from work at 3:30 the pool techs were fast asleep in their van in my driveway. Once they woke up they worked for about an hour and told me they don't have time to finish (but had time to nap) and said they would reschedule me for later in the week. They left a hose running in my pool without telling me and it ran so long it almost overfilled. We were scheduled to have them come back and finish this Saturday 6/27 between 1-5 and they never showed up. No one called to inform of us a change in scheduling. But after an entire summer dealing with Empire Pools, I've had enough. My pool timer wasn't working properly, and Empire had me taking pictures of it every hour and sending them in. After all of that, I was quoted approximately $500 for a new timer. Last weekend, friends recommended another pool professional. I sent him the exact same pictures. He immediately told me the timer wasn't broken. He showed me how to move the silver dial and position the ON/OFF trippers. That was it. The timer works perfectly. Then there's the salt system. Empire told me I needed a new salt cell but would not install one unless I purchased it through them. I ordered and installed the cell myself, but the problem remained. I also spent approximately $500 on an acid cleaning/service, and the red warning light was still on. Then I was told they were waiting for another part. Meanwhile, my pool continued turning green and I spent the summer repeatedly adding chlorine just to stay ahead of the algae. The pool professional recommended by our friends came over, looked at everything and recommended replacing the salt system instead of continuing to throw money at individual parts. We ordered a new system on Amazon for about one-third of the price, and he's installing it for $200. And then there's the customer service. My interactions with Jenn have repeatedly been unpleasant, but my experience today was unbelievable. A man whose name I don't even know called me and yelled, screamed over me and, in my opinion, bullied me while I was trying to explain my concerns. I actually recorded the conversation because I couldn't believe the way I was being spoken to. I also hired Empire for biweekly cleaning. Previously, when I didn't click their text to confirm an appointment, nobody came. This week I intentionally didn't confirm because I no longer wanted the service, yet the crew showed up anyway. The cleaning guys themselves were very nice, and I simply explained that I was no longer using the company and sent them away. When I contacted Empire about it, the situation escalated into the phone call described above. Equipment breaks and mistakes happen. I understand that. What I don't understand is months of conflicting information, money spent without resolving the problem, poor communication and being spoken to this way when I finally questioned it. I have the texts, pictures, quotes, receipts, call history and documentation supporting my experience. I just wanted my pool to work and to be treated with basic respect. After an entire summer of this, I have zero confidence in Empire Pools. I will never use them again and, based on my experience, absolutely cannot recommend them.

DON'T EVER DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS PAUL ROMANELLI A SELF PROCLAIMED "POOL & SPA EXPERT!" His website has NUMEROUS misrepresentations and inaccuracies and my objective is that I do NOT want to see any other consumers getting "HOODWINKED AND RIPPED OFF"! LET'S REVIEW SOME FACTS: A) His Website claims to have "trained factory experts" for the spa brand "ENDLESS POOLS" which is UNTRUE! WHAT SLEAZY AND GREEDY POND SCUM BEHAVIOR since they state clearly on their website they provide FREE estimates and proposals! D) When you read through his website or Google pages there are various statements about how many years of experience he has, one says 26 years another 27 years and another 34 years so which is it????? THIS STATEMENT FROM 1996 IS A FARCE! "He rebuilt his own pool, expanding his practical knowledge." Practical knowledge of what? Expertise in NOT knowing who all pool/spa pump manufactures in the industry are located? OR gaining the knowledge of SCAMMING pool/spa owners? E) After getting SCREWED out of $200 I then took some time to research pool and spa pumps in more detail and after spending 44 minutes on the phone with the actual spa manufacturer located on the existing pump they were so kind and informative and provided me with detailed information on every aspect of my "Endless Pool" brand and even confirmed in writing my serial # was on file and in FACT was an owner of this brand and within a week had the replacement pump delivered to my doorstep, so I personally gained MORE knowledge in 44 minutes about pool/spa pumps that Paul Romanelli claims to have gained in 26 or 34 years or whatever BS years he claims! Now it's only a matter of time that this outright scam will be exposed to numerous state and local consumer agencies and then for the "icing on the cake" will be when eventually will seek a judicial remedy in a local court of law and will donate any damages that I will ultimately will receive to an NYPD charity I endorse!
