This company came to the rescue for me with my pool this summer. I'm using them for weekly maintenance and the price is fair, the guys are professional, respectful, on time, & reliable. I need to share my experience with empirepoolsinc because it was an absolute terrible experience due to one of their employees named Jenn who seems to be manning the phones. If a customer is calling just to confirm something because your company is sending conflicting information, there is no right to act the way Jenn did. She's incredibly rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, and the worst representative for a business and customer service. On the whole, Empire Inc sends you hundreds of conflicting text messages and emails just to schedule one service. I asked for a pool opening and cleaning and I have both text and email from their own company saying that both were scheduled. The two technicians that came were both very nice and I have no issues with them. They discovered that the filter had cracked and needed to be changed. They called Jenn to tell her and confirm and then the text messages started again and one of the text messages that was sent was that I was being charged for the cleaning. This is what I simply texted to them "Just again want to note, the pool cleaning has not been completed as the filter needs to be changed." I just wanted to confirm that I was not being charged despite them sending one text saying I was being charged and then another saying you're not. So I had my wife call the office just confirm with them and Jenn picked up with the nastiest tone and came out the gate swinging extremely rude and raising her voice at my wife saying "did you guys not read the text message? So then why are you calling, I already texted you etc." That's when I took the phone and told Jenn excuse me but don't raise your voice at my wife when we're simply trying confirm something with you and she continued to raise her voice and so did I because at this point Jenn was getting even more rude and aggressive and with a very bad attitude. Empire, look into your employees. Jenn is detriment to your business and I will be telling anyone I know not to use them because if you have to deal with Jenn you will have a difficult time. For other customers thinking of then, read their first few one star reviews, it seems many of their representatives there have bad attitudes as mine isn't the only experience. Just look at all the lies and argumentative responses they have to other customers in all their 1 star reviews, you'll see a trend. Don't use this company. read more

Hired to open the pool and then do initial vacuum and weekly service. The filter pump ran for one day, after that it stopped, called and was told that the vacuum crew would look at it . Came vacuumed left the hose running without informing me and left, the pump was never looked at. Called back and asked to have someone come look at the pump, was given a recommendation to get it running and it did not work. Called back again was 5ild again that the crew coming to vacuum would look at it. Not only did they not do anything with the pump they didn't fully clean and vacuum the pool. When U called back I was told I had to wait another 2 days for someone to come back. Meanwhile the pool is turning green. My advice: Find a different company! read more

Sand all over the bottom of my pool- they couldn't bother coming to find out what it was. They asked for pictures because they don't have the time to see for themselves what the problem is. Don't use these guys. Total rip-off. Charged for opening. Then when a problem with filter which was running perfectly fine last season , charged for new plumbing. Filter still not working and now leaking. Fixed leak but not working. I was told I would have to replace the grid in the filter for $600. I can buy a brand new filter for $625. Don't trust the men they sent. They are in a rush. Last year I pad them to clean the de filter and they broke the manifold. I bought a new manifold and the owner said the would install it for free. The men who came especially one with the curly hair and man bun just gave me an attitude. First he didn't want to do it secondly he left the lid of and didn't bother to close the DE filter cover. He kept speaking in Spanish under his breath as though I didn't understand. Do not hire them unless you have money to throw and accept rude substandard work. read more

Despite some negative reviews, I decided to give Empire Pools a try, the supposed best of LI per News 12. Well I can quite emphatically state that they are not even in the ballpark of anything that resembles "best." The opening was done and a temporary pipe fitting was left on improperly, net result two thousand gallons of water down the backside of the house! Luckily I was home or my pump would have burned out. Called to let them know that my pool was literally losing water, they told me to put the temp fitting back on and that they would be back in a few days. Needless to say, I knew I was in trouble, when they didn't come back to fix it. I stuck with them for the pump/motor to put on my waterfall (I literally called everyone else nobody was available) after many phone calls and texts they finally give me an inflated price which they justify as being for a warranty. I had old PVC, told them to check it, and we agreed to repair it. After they installed it and left I noticed a valve wasn't working. I called them and they said they couldn't come back for 4 days to fix it even though we discussed PVC repairs. Yesterday they came back and instead of installing a five dollar valve(mind you I gave them 1200 bucks!) they said they repaired the valve which when I got home is still dripping down the waterfall. Absolutely horrible customer service. Hired them to open my pool on May 15, problem with filter during opening and tech said office would contact me to discuss later that day. I paid them for the job figuring they'd resolve it quickly. Received no call so I called them for two days, finally got them on the phone and said they'd be there on the 18th. On the 18th they said the part they ordered would not arrive until the 27th so they'd come the 28th. On the 27th they said the distributor did not have the part as it is hard to find and they would call me when they had it. I went online and had the part delivered to my home the next day, was very easy to find. Called them back and they said they'd try to come the 29th or 30th, no show both days. Finally hired another company who came and did the job. Contacted Empire to discuss refund and they said no, that the fix was not their problem and they did all they could. These guys simply do not give a shit. Keep away from this company. read more

WARNIING!!!! I've used this company several times and each year became worst than the year before. Not only did they leave shed door open, left pool parts out on deck. Last year they cracked my filter after opening. I came home to a flood in my back yard and all the chemical that was put in the pool came out. Yes they offered to replace filter however it took 7 weeks before they did so and by then summer was practically over and got no use of pool last season. Fast forward to june 2020. Although I was hesitant to use them again I gave them the benefit of the doubt. They charged me $350.00 for a leaf rake, chemicals and pump attachment. I came home to find my pump sprewing of water because the crew did not tighten the parts. The water never cleared from the chemicals they claimed to have used. When I called to tell them of the issue. I was told that I had to wait for an appointment to get it repaired dispite losing water by the tons. 4 days later still no call so I called them again and was told I had to wait there was no one available. THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS AND LIERS. SO BELIEVE ME IF YOU ARE USING THEM, IT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THEY ROB YOU AS WELL!!!!!!! JOE YOU TOOK MY MONEY AND YOU ARE A CROOK.
