I had them put in a new pool a few years ago and everything was fine. A few days ago I called (a leak in the top of my new sand filter) and the quick recall back did not happen. The message said email is quicker, I emailed and got a response 7 hours later...wow and I am a returning customer. The email said Saturday so when I called (they did call back in 1/2 hour) but they were not able to do Saturday... oh well geez and I am a former customer. read more

Sparkle Poole Svc did my initial pool installation over 20 years ago. No issues. I've been able to do 'bits and pieces' maintenance in the interim. Finally, after 20+ years, I needed a new liner (pool and new liner came from Brothers 3 in Bethpage) and Sparkle was called upon again to so this. Perfect job. A tad expensive, but worth it. They worked through a passing heavy rain shower to complete it. Highly recommended. read more

Not sure what happened to Sparkle. They used to be very good. I used them for many years. The last few years, the service has been awful. I keep giving them second chances, but I am done with them. The last straw was my recent pool opening. I hooked up the filter, and all of the plumbing myself. I only needed them to remove the cover, add chemicals, and put in my stairs. There was some debris on the cover, which they proceeded to dump in the pool and not clean up. The pool opened up brown (they added the chemicals for last year's closing). They added two gallons of shock and told my wife that she would have to add more chemicals at some point - of course, with no additional guidance. I called them up and they were arrogant. The girl in the office had the tech call me who told me he would put a note in my file to be careful next year. Thanks! Thankfully, there will be no next year for them. This is an unusual review, it will be more like a character reference. I had intended to have a large above ground pool and deck installed in my yard. Sparkle was the recommended installer from the pool company. The day I called for an estimate, Steve arrived to scope out the project. He was knowledgeable, creative and most importantly honest about what the entire job would entail and the approximate costs. He followed up later that evening with a written estimate and worked with me to agree on an acceptable budget. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I couldn't move ahead with the project. When I let Steve know, he was understanding and gracious. Hopefully we can work together in the future because I wouldn't choose anyone else. read more

Generally, they are very reliable and compared to other pool services, more reasonably priced. Our pool thankfully requires very little professional maintenance and this pool service is perfect for what we need them for. Also, they did a great job installing our pool. Can't give 0 stars but they deserve it because they did 0 to install my pool. No one came before install date to survey my property. Day of install I was told too much to do by hand . Stephen(their excavation guy) said he would get me in same week and just give him a day to fit me in. Week later...nothing. Not even a text. Called office following Monday, recording stated closed for vaycay till Wed.!!!!! In August?!!! Very please with the quality of work. They took there time and made sure everything was wrapped thoroughly. Never in my life have i dealt with such unprofessionals. From showing up with no shirts on to leaving garbage and cigarettes all over my yard. Also having me over dig by 5' x 27' and telling me i have to pump water out of my pool to repair leaking skimmer. Went with 3 Brothers Pool on this suggestion . Horrible. They came to do an installation and left a leak on the pump. When I called to ask if they could come back some woman with a very arrogant attitude answered the phone and said she would send the guys back even though they normally would charge. When they came they rang the doorbell. I looked out the window told the guy to hold. Next thing I know I have this guys at my screen door. If your told to hold your supposed to hold on not just proceed into peoples backyards. I had my screen door open to come into the house and he was 2 feet from where my kid was sitting in the island in the middle of a pandemic. When I told him not to come in unauthorized he just left. Even though I said proceed with what you have to do but please next time do not just walk in the yard without my authorization as my whole family was still in pajamas including myself. Smh wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. I'm not sure who that woman is who answers but she needs to lose the attitude as I'm a paying customer who paid well over what they charged to leave them a tip. I had a semi in ground pool installed by Sparkle during the summer of 2021. Overall the installation was pretty good. No damage was done to parts of the pool. The men working seemed to be knowledge and did show me how to operate the pump. However they did not do a very good job of leveling out the sand under the liner and as a result the bottom of the pool is very lumpy. This makes it difficult to clean because algae wants to grows in those areas and the pool vacuum cant get to all lumps and lows. In addition, I think they only finger tightened all the bolts on my pump and filter. Some were falling out after only a few days of operating. I had to tighten everything again for them. But that is fixable. The lumpy liner is not and we have to live with the pool like that. This part of the installation I am very unhappy about. read more

Ordered a above ground pool and called this company for a quote for installation. The first thing I told her was where I got the pool "pool factory" and the model intrepid. The lady who answered the phone said $1100 plus additional charge for added leveling if needed. We set up a install date. They called a few days prior and had to reschedule. Then the day before rescheduled install the same lady called to confirm and restated $1100 for the install - and must be paid in cash/cashiers check. The morning of the install two workers show and say I know they quoted you for $1100 but the actual price is $1300 plus added leveling fees. I mentioned already being priced $1100 and he stated the office made a mistake. So after taking the day off work I figured I will have them install it and dispute the mistake by the office after install. So the next day I called the office, same lady answers and I mentioned what happened which she was already aware of. She said yes we misquoted you and that is our price $1300 plus extra fees. I asked for a refund of the $200 as she quoted me the evening before install and she said no that is our price you were mis quoted. Dishonest company, bait and switch. Unless you want to be involved in a situation like this go to another of the many pool installers on the island. I will never use them again. read more

We are repeat customers of this company. Our original pool installation was good, with no problems to report. The pool developed a slow leak several years later and we chose to replace the liner. The servicemen did a good job on the replacement liner....neat and efficient. HOWEVER....When I booked the appointment with Alex(a)? I was told that pool installations are done in the morning and liner replacements in the afternoon. She gave me a time of 1-2PM. I called the company several times prior to my appointment with questions that came up, wanting to have everything ready for the liner change (purchased pool base, replacement gaskets, etc.) I was never able to get through to anyone and always left a message that was typically returned the next day. The day before my appointment I called to confirm and again left a message. While I was at work, the following morning (in a classroom), my husband not home and my son online with a class, I received a phone call from my son at 845AM telling me they were at the door. They had arrived and were already working in the backyard requiring trash bags. Needless to say this was a HUGE disruption. I was able to call your company again and had to leave another message as no one answers the phone. I received a call 30mins after the workers arrived from Alexa. Her attitude was far from professional. She told me they would be arriving soon (they were there 30mins ago!). She also denied the fact that I was given an afternoon appointment saying they don't give appointment times. She really didn't seem concerned at all about how disruptive this was and also told me "That's what happens when you leave a message after hours". I called before 5pm the previous day. While I realize these are not typical times for any company, I feel this dismissive attitude was unjustified and just plain rude. read more
