These people are FANTASTIC. We have a Coast Spa that is some 22 years old and had the service pack (circuit board) repaired by a different company several years ago. We recently noticed no heat so I, being as handy as I am, checked out circuit board and the flow sensor and concluded it was again defective, My wife called Pool and Spa Guys and I agreed to have the service pack replaced at a cost of several hundred dollars. This afternoon, Tim, the technician arrives and before installing the service pack asked if I wanted him to first check out the old one before replacing it. I said "Well, I checked it out but I'm not a technician so go ahead". He first checks out the flow sensor (a $90.00 part) and tells me it is defective and that I don't need a whole new service pack. He just saved me several hundred dollars. How honest!!! How polite!!! He could have easily told me otherwise. Bottom line, this is a great company to do business with. read more

Awful experience. The repair tech was explicitly told what parts were not working: a valve and the pump. He left after stating the pump was fine. Two days later he had to come back to fix the pump and charged for the service again. The tech then left without turning back on the outdoor breaker and had to come back a third time. Despite the tech saying it was his fault, on our Ring Camera, we were charged for a third service charge. It is hard to tell if the negligence was accidental or by design (to necessitate him coming back multiple times) but a simple replacement valve and pump part should not take three visits and $500. Also, if you are using this service, have a camera that keeps track of the time. The tech wildly over estimates his time on site. read more

I really appreciated Steve's assistance in helping me pick out the best hot tub for my needs and answering all my questions. The delivery team led by Gary was equally amazing. Was waiting on a warranty repair and Tim shows up....the day of the wicked snow / ice storm that hit Long Island on December 17. I thought I was hallucinating when I saw the service truck pull up while I was snow-blowing my driveway. Once again Pool and Spa Guys exceeded ALL expectations. This certainly could have waited till the storm passed, but as Tim claimed, "we had you scheduled for today." While every other business establishment closed due to the storm, Pool and Spa Guys honored their commitment. Amazing! While the Aquasport 52 seems like a good pool, the Pool and Spa Guys do not include a good ladder--the one that comes floats around, and you don't get a cover and a vacuum. Pool and Spa Guys messed up our delivery and it all came delivered piecemeal and we had to ask about the salt water system. We had to perform the role of communications expert and expediter for them and their install company. Do NOT use their recommended installer Champion, see below: We bought our pool from Pool and Spa Guys who recommended this company--swear by them. We had the install date on the 29th of June. With this company you are required to coordinate the sand delivery, pavers, AND a dumpster, and electrician all on your own AND make it all work out around their install date. They installed the pool without proper concrete patio block (they said the one they used was fine) or crushed cement as manufacturer recommends, OR leveling it properly and therefore patio block cracked. Pool was not level. They did stand by the work and attempt to fix by sending the same incompetent crew-- who dug up a side and used the correct new block we also had to buy. This is AFTER we filled and then had to empty the 13,000 gallon pool!! The guy who backfills didn't even wink at the cracked blocks. It also took 11 days to get the filter and salt water system set up after initial install after calling over and over. And you also have to coordinate electrician. Today we were finally in the pool and I noticed some incorrect bolts and the wall they "fixed" is now higher than the sides. There is a lack of a schedule and steps provided for customers outlining the procedures for the install process. You need to figure it out as you go. We also STILL have a pool not properly level. Do not pay cash so you have recourse in case their is poor service. If you don't want to do all this work and learn the art of contracting and overseeing a job from start to finish, select an installer who does an all-inclusive job. Pictures below are what they left after "fixing" the still uneven pool and backfilling and shoveling. That's a quality job? I had to use a hoe and rake so my little ones wouldn't get hurt tripping over ditches. Very disappointed. I hope they will make this right. Will also share with Better Business Bureau and every review site we can for as long as it takes AND social media reviews. read more

I can't say enough GREAT things about Steve and Liz. I am a first time pool owner with 100 questions . I am also a mother of 3 little ones (3 yr old , 1.5 year old and a 5 month old) . When I purchased the pool and pool system I let them know that there was no way I could go to the beach or sprinkler park with 3 little ones. I also mentioned I wanted something that would be low maintenance and with not too many harsh chemicals since I would have a newborn in the pool. They recommended the FROG pool system which is amazing . I got the pool installed last year during the off season. The warehouse sent us the wrong heater. I called and let them know. They said don't worry just close the pool and when you go to open your pool we will exchange it. Well, this year before I opened the pool I called them and with no issue they exchanged it and I got it installed by the same company they recommended when I first got the pool installed. As you can imagine I had no clue who that company was , luckily they keep good record and provided me the information needed. I also use their pool opening guy who is beyond amazing and sweet. Now that my pool is open and I have more questions on what is needed to maintain the pool. I constantly call with questions and they always answer kindly. I know I can be annoying , I just literally have no clue. They take the time out to explain everything to me and even write it on my chemical containers what I need to do. It's foolproof and I'm beyond grateful that they do this for me. Also when I'm unsure of my pool water they have free in-house pool water testing. As a happy customer who can enjoy the summer with 3 little kids in a safe pool I can't recommend this place enough !! They are honest , trustworthy and go above and beyond. read more

The estimated delivery date was 5/15 but evrytime I have called for a status update they say we dont have an update. Today they said the salesperson will be in on Friday which I find hard to believe. They lied to us about being able to get hottubs in for the Spring. They told us they had a shippment coming in weeks, no problem getting them, when we ordered the hotutb. I guess we should have realized they were liars when every other store gave us the hard facts that there would not be a shippment for months. I have never been so disrespected trying to get information about a hot tub. I call to try and get some information and one of the employees gives me an attitude and puts me on hold for about five minutes. Then, the owner of the store picks up and doesn't even introduce himself or ask me any questions about what I'm looking for he just tells me a flat price of a hot tub. He was very rude and quick to hang up the phone. Poor service and definitely not the way to make a sale!!! I then called back after they hung up on me and the same employee picked up the phone with the same attitude. Do not waste your time calling because they don't want to be bothered. I needed chlorine tablets and I have been trying to support local businesses and after the first place google suggested didn't work, I decided to come here. I should of just went to Leslie's down the block. This store is located on Route 110 by furniture row. They have a parking lot so parking is not an issue. When I walked in, the showroom was a decent size. They had some nice hot tubs on display and pool supplies in the back. I saw about 4 employees up front talking with a woman. I went down the aisles to see if I could find the chlorine tablets myself. I actually needed help bc I wasn't sure which ones to get so I went to the front to see if someone could help me. They were still chatting with the lady and one guy even locked eyes with me and then he just looked away. Lol what kinda customer service is that? He could of at least said at the very least "do you need help? I'll be right with you" or something, anything. When I went back to the supplies aisle, I also saw another guy sitting at a desk in the back and he didn't offer any help either. I finally just grabbed a random tub of chlorine tablets and went to pay. The cashier, a young lady, was actually pleasant, it came out to $46. When I got home, I realized the ones I got were too big. LOL so I just went on Amazon and ordered the correct ones. The ones I bought will just have to be used in the pool, even tho I have another tub of those. This people lack seriousness and like to play games with their pricing. When their business is slow in February, they claim to be giving you previous year pricing. I received a quote in February and an updated one in May with an unjustified $1160 mark up in price (e.g. 10% price increase in 3 months). When questioned I was told these were Pandemic prices, so they are clearly trying to take advantage of people. They are not reasonable at all. I was willing to accept a $530 price increase, but these people are just greedy, unreasonable, dishonest and unwilling to come to a middle ground. They seem to increase their pricing on a weekly basis. Not the type of place I like to do business with. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I contacted pool and spa guys to get my hot tub up and running after they closed it professionally a few years prior. Turned out there was a frozen manifold causing a leak, so they came back to fix it. However THEY NEVER CAME BACK TO SEE IF THE LEAK WAS FIXED. I spend over $2000 with this company and they did not even come to check if the work was done. I called to complain that dropping off some new jet heads wasn't enough, I had asked for them to come and fill up the tub and get it running, and to discuss some charges on my numerous bills. The woman assured me that I was not charged for the services they did not provide, even though they were on my bill. In fact she said she was "positive." The next day I went in to complain, and this woman tried to explain away that they must have forgotten to take off those items and refunded me. Then I asked, why was I charged $100 for chemicals when all that was given to me were 2 things that I saw were in the store for $20 combined? After waiting she came back and gave me some more chemicals for free. I have never felt more scammed by a business. Prices are clearly not honest and no one ever followed up to make things right. read more
