Best experience ever with Mike and his crew at Majestic. They went above and beyond my expectations. They were professional.. gave me a fair price and always here when promised . We were leaving on a long planned vacation when we got word our liner was in stock. Mike and his team handled everything thing for us while we were gone which included constantly coming by to monitor the water level while it was filling. They also had our filter up and running and our pool was ready to use when we got home. I highly recommend Mike and his team. Best decision I ever made.

Over promised and underdelivered. Multiple issues from day one of opening to closing and zero communication with Mike the owner once contracts were signed and until closing for his balance. I was hoping for a smooth season by installing a new heater, purchasing the chemical package along with the weekly maintenance. They installed a bypass valve on the new heater to prolong it's life. Good idea but it has a slow leak from the day it was installed. The weekly guy never noticed it ( or any leak) all season, I called the office and told them about it multiple times. About half way through the season they placed more PVC glue on the fitting. No surprise it was still leaking. Prior to scheduling the pool closing I requested it be fixed. Needless to say it wasn't and Mike the owner claimed it was my failure to communicate since this was the first time hearing about the problem and offered to repair it next spring. I requested a $200 credit towards my closing balance so I could hire someone next year to do the repair. Unfortunately Mike the owner didn't like my suggestion and sent me a bill without the credit. All season long we had a green/yellow film along the bottom of the pool. We pointed it out to the weekly person who never wrote it on the weekly invoice and report. We then called the office, sent photo's and asked Mike to meet us on a day we can go over the problem. We received a phone call it wasn't algae. Mike never came to look at the problem. Then we tried again and were told they didn't have any phosphorus. So much for a chemical package. Several times I went back to my filter area and noticed leaks. Most I fixed on my own because the weekly guy is not a mechanic and who knows when they would send someone over to fix them. The icing on the cake was when the weekly person tightened down the chlorinator top so hard that I needed a 3 foot channel lock to open it. I then called and reported the problem and explained that I needed to be notified if things like this happen again. They caught on so about 3 weeks later my invoice noted he couldn't remove the chlorinator cover. I found a few tablets in my skimmers. I also found another leak on the fitting to the chlorinator from him trying to remover the cover. As a business owner I understand what it takes to write a negative review. My time is valuable and this was worth the $200 Mike didn't agree to.

That system is the Chlorsync C30 which sells everywhere for $1100. I already had plumbing and electric from previous system, would take an "experienced" tech an hour tops. They advertise $175 an hour. How are they charging $2000 for install?!? 11 hours??? I had nothing to lose, so I opened my "unrepairable" unit and notice right away 2 wires that had be damage/corroded. I just plugged in 2 new wires from Home Depot and everything ran PERFECT. I have no pool or electric experience and Total cost was $3 and 20 minutes. But yet this dishonest joke of a company wanted to charge be $3100?!? You guys are totally incompetent, lazy or thieves! Hopefully this review will keep these guys from trying to rip someone off again.

The installer said it was going to go away after a few days of being installed. It was not it has gotten worse and in more areas, it has also become loose, not as tight as the first day. I called today and spoke to mark and was told that we need to pay $170 for them to come check the cover and to tighten it even though I have a 15 yr warranty. They care more about money than actually helping people. I would never recommend a loop-loc cover or do any business with this company. They instead told me to go to loop-loc company and use my warranty. AVOID THIS COMPANY THAT DOES NOT WANT TO HELP OUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. Once they have your money they will not want to help you unless you pay them even if it's their fault

[Intro added in response to business owner feedback] Final…read morework product is excellent, scheduling is a bit ... laid back. The Three Cousins not only open/close pools, they offer creative solutions for the homeowner in need. They have open/closed our in-ground pool, power washed our home and exterior walkways, replaced a wooden gate, created a brick walkway and installed an interim drainage solution. They will shop for materials at Home Depot or the Pool Store if needed. Alternatively, you can provide all supplies. [This section of the review remains unchanged] We started using this company a few years back (when they were "Cousins Pool Service")*. Small, family business that was easy to reach via text. They've grown and now use a shared company phone/texting system to book appointments. We booked an appointment for an in ground pool opening today via text. When there wasn't anyone here by 2pm, my brother rang the company owner. His voicemail instructs you to ring the main company phone number. The receptionist collected the information and promised to call with an update. By 3:30 we figured they weren't going to call, so we called them. My brother explained everything (again), highlighting (again) that the appointment was confirmed via text. He was asked (again) who booked the appointment from the company. We have no idea who operates their company appointment booking system. The owner reached out via text to my brother just now (4:30) and confirmed we are not on the schedule. He asked for the details my brother has provided twice to the receptionist. Providing coverage to watch both of my parents is always a challenge as they are elderly. We booked the time and prepared the backyard. (Moving the heavy filter/pump monstrosity, buying chemicals, adding water to the pool, pumping water off the cover, etc, etc.) * The guys who work for this company are really nice. The previous review under the old company name is glowing. https://www.yelp.com/biz/cousins-pool-service-patchogue?hrid=KcDzSpBg2_97vHNZsAnYpg&utm_source=ishare&utm_content=review ------- [Response to business owner follows] James, Our family has done business with you a number of years. The end work product is excellent. It's important to show up. Full stop. Ideally, you should be on time. It's not the client's job to explain why their time is valuable. I'm sorry you were frustrated by this review. Habitual scheduling issues forced us to fire you. I flipped thru my phone to refresh my memory on two prior projects. Sean scheduled an 11am powerwash and was an hour late. He completed part of a 1-day project, returning the next day. When shopping for drainage/fencing material (3pm), the guys deviated to work for another client without any notice. Sunset was at 5:53pm with a storm that night. The old gate had been removed, the grass ripped off and a path dug into the ground. I'm glad the guys returned at 7:30 pm and enclosed the yard as we have an in-ground pool. However, putting sand into the hole was poor planning with rain on the horizon. It became mud. Additionally, the landscapers were unable to access the backyard with a moat. If you're in need of photos with timestamps, please advise. With some administrative structural changes your company can grow. I wish you only the best.
