Olive oil cake

I don't like this new cake recipe. If I would rate this cake it would be a 1/10, but I'm familiar with Gypsy kitchen and I enjoy their food. The oranges on top of the cake were tart and stale. It ruined the quality of the cake. I hope next time I return they change this recipe

One of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. Everything in the menu is delicious but the Charred Octopus is a favorite and the 50 Shades of Purple is a MUST try! Perfect for a girls night, date night or happy hour location.

Celebrating birthdays via rooftop. The space was such a downtown upscale vibe. We had Wonderful and attentive staff with yummy food to add. Will definitely be back to try more tapas.

The food was amazing! We went for their Easter special and the dishes they had picked out were lovely. I also got the sesame latte, it was good but honestly far too sweet. The service was great, very attentive servers who were knowledgeable about the menu. Beautiful restaurant and great for conversation,

I have tried their Brunch and was very impressed! strongly recommend. Their masquerade themed dinner for Halloween was cute and low key. I had the mussels, branzino, broccolini and Tiger Lily cocktail. Mussels were good quality and delicious. The sauce could have been a little thicker to dip the bread, and the bread was a little burnt. However the flavor was there. The Branzino was one of the best in Atlanta, probably second only to Zakia. Filleted perfectly, lightly seasoned and super crisp skin. The cocktail was tasty! a great take on a mezcal drink. The waitress was attentive and helpful, as always. They validate parking as well!

I love everything about this place. The food, the people, the energy & that Tiger Lily! Sheesh!! It's beautiful inside and out! Diamond, Kolin, Michaela, Winnie, Stephanie....incredible people!! (Hope I didn't butcher the spellings too badly)... I enjoy the Patatas Bravas, Skirt Steak, Garlic Shrimp & the Brussel Sprouts! 10/10

Probably 1 of my favorite go to places for quick small bites & good drinks. Lychee Martin's are soooooo good here along the patatas bravas, the apple salad, etc. sooooo good 9/10 The atmosphere is also amazing with the views and vibes from the rest of the outside.

We went to Gypsy Kitchen to celebrate my mother in law for her milestone birthday on Friday night. The ambiance was nice with dim lighting and upbeat music and personalities from the staff. We were greeted immediately and the host immediately asked whose birthday we were celebrating after checking us in and verifying the reservation notes. We were seated within minutes. Johnny was an amazing server! He knew the menu well and made good recommendations. We tried several small plates (look at my photos). It was great to try a little of each thing, and we ordered chickpea hummus, pita, patatas bravas, grilled octopus, lamb skewers, garlic shrimp, and Moroccan Hot Chicken Bites. They were all good and well seasoned. They have a mocktail menu and Johnny crafted a spin on the Black Hole Sun (no blackberry) for my mother in law. She liked it We ordered a large plate of seafood paella to share and it was okay. It could have had more seafood and less rice as far as the ratio. It was definitely shareable but I'd give another large plate a shot the next time. For dessert, my mother in law wanted the chocolate torte which was very rich and good for anyone who loves chocolate desserts. She liked it but I didn't as much. I decided to try the Spanish Olive Oil cake but didn't care for it. The chocolate torte was better. Overall, the experience was amazing. I felt the love and we were treated well. The tapas (smaller plates) are where it is at! You can stick with those and really enjoy your time here. My top 3 were the lamb skewers, patatas bravas and the chickpea hummus with fresh pita. My mother in law RAVED about the smalls. I would come back again.

My first time at Gypsy kitchen and it was a delight. We sat on the patio and it was great weather. My group and I got a selection of small plates. We had a nice spread including the asparagus, PEI mussels, Brussels sprouts, mushroom toast, lamb skewers, smaller bacon wrapped dates, grilled skirt steak, hot Moroccan chicken bites, ahi tuna crisp, chicken bites, garlic shrimp. My faves were the bacon wrapped dates, grilled skirt steak, and the hot Moroccan chicken bites. Service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was quiet enough to have a conversation and is great for groups. Overall a great night. As for parking Gypsy kitchen is located in buckhead village, complex of restaurants and retail shopping. There is valet available for the complex which was $20. There is also paid self parking, but I am unaware of that cost.

Great place to try a bunch of things with a big budget. Some of my favorites with a smoked bacon wrapped around a date. The steak entrée was delectable and juicy. The whipped feta was delicious with the spiced bread. I like the chocolate torte. Brussels sprouts were also terrific. Very friendly staff that was generous to give us our recommendations and super accommodating. I like the ambience of the place and how it all looks. Very high ceilings

Sottal Vinho Leve

Delicious Spanish tapas! Great for a quicker sit-down dinner. We came on a Friday for dinner around 6:00pm with reservations though I think we could've grabbed a table without. It was still happy hour, so we ordered a glass of the Sottal Vinho Leve, the mushroom flatbread, chicken croquettes and the patatas bravas (happy hour portions). My brother liked the croquettes so much we ended up ordering more- it was no longer happy hour, so we got a regular order which came with 5 instead of 3. We also tried the skirt steak, octopus (my personal favorite), meatballs, brussel sprouts, and the grilled cheese. I loved the octopus and brussel sprouts- I would definitely order these again. They were both so flavorful! Meatballs and grilled cheese were mediocre. Nothing exceptional. Skirt steak was fine, I liked the chimichurri and the garlicky vegetables underneath the steak, but I couldn't care much for the actual steak. For dessert we tried the olive oil cake and the chocolate torte. I was disappointed by the olive oil cake- it was quite dry. I don't love lemony desserts, but the lemon curd and whipped cream on top were desperately needed for some added moisture. I adored the chocolate torte. Dare I say one of the best I've had! The depth of the chocolate flavor - perfect. The chilli flavor was lacking- felt like false advertising. Nevertheless, a delicious dessert- no complaints here. Overall, I would return to gypsy kitchen!

My girls and I dined here for brunch and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. I believe they just rolled out their new brunch menu and we loved it. The service was great. Loved the ambiance. The food and drinks were very good. Will definitely come back again.

The birthday card signed by the whole team was such a thoughtful thing to do. The drink was good and strong. The cheesecake is so tasty with the fruit puree on top. My favorite is the skirt steak and the potatoes. The restores has an upscale feel to it. I would definitely go back

When we arrived the restaurant was packed, so we definitely felt fortunate to have snagged a last-minute table. This is a high-end Spanish tapas-style restaurant and the service really elevated the experience. Our waiter and the sommelier were both extremely attentive and made excellent recommendations, including a bottle of wine that paired perfectly with our meal. We started with a charcuterie board with two cheeses and a chili salami. It came with bread, pickles, sun-dried tomatoes, a couple mustards, and an amazing truffle honey. It was the perfect way to start the meal. Our waiter helped pace the rest of the evening by guiding the order of the plates. We were told to order about two to three plates per person, which ended up being the perfect amount of food. If we had to rank our favorites, they would be: 1. Pork Cheek Tacos 2. Bistec 3. Cordero 4. Broccolini 5. Gambas al Ajillo 6. Peppadew Peppers 7. Piquillos Rellenos Honestly, everything was so good that it was hard to rank them. We were celebrating a birthday, and the staff went out of their way to make it special. They brought out a complimentary dish of wrapped dates and gelatos for dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. Between the incredible food, attentive service, and warm atmosphere, this was a wonderful place to celebrate a milestone. Highly recommend.

It's relatively new to their menu. It has passion fruit and is comparable to a Pornstar Martini x Pink Lemonade. The other is an Iberian Old Fashioned - a stronger smokey drink, but can definitely taste the bacon on the back end. There's a parking garage but it was full when we got there, so we did valet, which was surprisingly affordable. Service was wonderful. Our server was attentive, helpful, and super knowledgeable about the menu. As for the food, we got: Aguachile de Pescado, which was insane. Super fresh, bright, citrusy, ceviche-like with perfect texture. I would go back just for that. The Hamachi was clean and bright. That avocado sauce tied everything together and gave it some depth without overpowering the fish. The Pork Belly Tostadas were crispy and rich with that smooth avocado mousse and sweet mango salsa balancing it out perfectly. Finally, the bone marrow with steak... so good. I had seen pictures of it before I came and it did not disappoint. The steak was incredibly tender. They bring blue corn tortillas and suggest making a taco with the marrow, steak, and avocado. We had someone in our party with a gluten allergy, and our sweet server was doing his absolute best, bless. We were steered away from the tostadas as a starter due to gluten concerns, so we pivoted to guac...which then arrived with a gluten-free tostada. So the tostadas would have been totally fine! Then a good while after we'd all ordered, she was told her entrée had gluten and needed to be changed. She reordered, and almost immediately, the rest of the table's food came out. So we were left choosing between eating without her or letting everything go cold. And the plantains she'd reordered around, because she'd been told they couldn't be made gluten-free? Turns out they absolutely can be. Just miss after miss there. The spicy margarita was more of a margarita that once passed a jalapeño on the street. I asked for extra jalapeño juice and they were happy to help, but without the seeds and ribs it just couldn't deliver on the heat. I'd skip the margs next visit. This just wasn't quite the relaxed easy dinner we'd hoped for, and the price point feels like it's a step ahead of where the experience currently lands. But I'm rooting for them to get there!
