    Acai Bowl

The food was decent but the outside seating was dirty and the acai bowl we ordered for $19 was small and barely had any acai in it. dissapointing portion size for the price and the acai bowl wasnt anything special either. like did i order an acai bowl hold the acai?

Nice spot for breakfast or lunch by children's beach - so it's great for families. It's fairly new on the island, so it makes for a super convenient spot with no lines when other places get busy, especially during holiday weekends. We liked the chicken sandwich and açaí bowl that we got. Nothing revolutionary, but perfect for a quick bite outside!

    Right at Children's Beach!

Visiting Nantucket for the day and so glad we decided to stop here for breakfast! We had the Morning Bowl, Breakfast Burrito, Avocado Omelette and Blueberry Pancakes with a side of sausage. I also got an oatmilk latte. Everything was delicious! It was also the perfect spot for our two kids to play, since it is located right on Children's Beach. You order at the counter and then we sat outside to enjoy the beautiful morning. The server was super attentive, making sure we had waters and anything else we needed. We also got to chat a bit with the owners, who were so kind and friendly. This place is a must visit, especially with little ones!

Delicious açaí bowls! Lots of variety on the menu, friendly staff, nice outdoor seating. Highly recommend!

Where else can you find an elevated breakfast with a gorgeous ocean view at a good price? Go to Gyp-Sea, you won't regret it! Service is great, food is great. There's nothing not to like!

Bacon Avocado Sandwich and iced coffee

Great food and better views. Take out or sit down options. Ordered and sat right away. The sandwich could use a tad more flavor, but I would order it again nonetheless. Especially great place to get a meal if you have young children as there is a playground and beach right next to it.

    Avocado toast.

This being 1:00 pm too. Or, The Whale boasts a great wait staff who are accommodating and professional, as well as being just plain nice. A very clean establishment. We started with the crudités as an appetizer, and we both had the asparagus salad as our lunch - to die for! Very, very good! Priced nicely, and no negatives whatsoever. This place is always packed for dinner, so we were glad that on a Wednesday we were able to waltz in for luncheon. A must do when on island.

I cannot rave enough about the great service, my amazingly delicious drink and my husband's UNBELIEVABLE chicken. I must say I was surprisingly blown away by the crisp, delightfully light asparagus salad to start! While my coconut curry fish was delicious it was his chicken that stole the show. Oh, the ambiance, we were lucky enough to be seated outside in the back on a perfect June evening that left me dreaming about our return! Thank you Or, the Whale for truly putting time, effort and love into what you do!

Our excitement increased as we entered the…read morerestaurant and were met at the door by 2-3 maître d's, one of which welcomed us and proceeded to gush that we were in for a truly special meal: a Michelin starred chef, fresh, local ingredients and unique dishes & flavors. I wish I could write a glowing review, but in all honesty, I cannot do it. The entire experience was a let-down. The serving staff is clearly hired for the season; they struggle to describe the menu; there is no sommelier available and our server looked like a deer caught in headlights when asked a simple question about the sweetness of a Riesling on offer; the food was trying so hard, but was poorly executed and under seasoned. I ordered risotto with chanterelles, asparagus and fresh greens: what arrived was bowl of bland, soupy rice that somehow managed to be both mushy & undercooked. Two of our party ordered the halibut which was so doused in unnecessary accoutrements that this delicate, wonderful fish was lost (and also slightly overcooked), the last member of our group ordered "a Greek preparation" of lamb that arrived like a gummy block of scrapple (today, we noticed it had been pulled from the menu, thank goodness!). It was practically inedible. The two starters were passable, but nothing to write home about and, needless to say, we opted to skip dessert. The bill for this meal was hefty and didn't deliver in any way. The only positive moment was when we asked for the excessively bright lighting to be dimmed down (we were blinded) and we were kindly accommodated. Long story short: unless American Seasons does some serious reflection on how their marketing & describing the experience here, skip it. You're better off with fried clams at a shack.

It's busy but we got a table for 5 immediately at 10am. The options looked great. We got gluten-free avocado toast with an egg (bland and meh, I've had better), Turkish eggs (very good), LP. Breakfast (filling and tasty), açaí bowl with berries and honey (yum), midnight cold pressed juice, lemon ginger shot, iced matcha latte (too sweet), iced saffron cardamom (too sweet), iced latte (perfect). We were happy to end our trip here. The inside is summery with low and high tables near the bar. I had to ask for my drink twice because it appears they forgot it. Our server even gave us a complementary bottle of their house made pucker up juice. She shared why she loved it and poured us each a glass. This was such a nice touch. The juice was delicious and you could taste the fresh beet juice and ginger. The pistachio matcha I had was perfectly made. Not too dark in color and flavored nicely. I loved the soup of the day with sourdough bread made by a local Nantucket baker. The Italian wedding soup was delicious and rustic in flavor. The overall presentation leaves a strong impression. Everything was so well put together.
