It has been a few years since I last ordered from here, I decided to try a few of their individual slices. I grabbed chicken Parm, mushroom, and veggie. I'm a big fan of cold pizza the next day and the chicken parm really hit the spot. The other slices will likely go in the freezer, saved for work lunches. They are conveniently located in the Hannaford plaza, provides an easy in and out, and ample parking. They have a good choice of pizza and non Pizza meal options. Service was top notch. Pizza eaters beware ,Got a flyer in the mail from Gusto's in Delmar. It said they delivered was so I was excited because I was exhausted from working to double shifts at the hospital .I ordered a specialty pizza. The ingredients on the specialty pizza on the menu were not the ingredients that were on the pizza when it arrived when I called to let them know that they sent me the pizza the wrong way. The man on the phone wanted to argue with me, and not even let me speak to let him know what was wrong, and told me to take a look at the picture and told me I was wrong, even though the ingredients were listed for the pizza. I tried the pizza, even though it was covered in pizza sauce, it was so soggy and very bland. The crust was like cardboard He did offer to send me the correct pizza but at this point, I didn't wanna wait any longer bc I already waited. 45 minutes and was hungry and honestly, the way that he argued with me I didn't know what they were gonna do to the new pizza. Besides the pizza, I also ordered wings and garlic knots. The garlic knots had no garlic butter at all and were so dry and so overcooked and served with cold marinara for dipping.... The wings were OK. I have to say, the sauce had a lot of flavor. That's the only reason they're getting one star, I will never order from this establishment ever again. read more

Gone there for a slice on occasion for years and it's always been a pretty good typical thin crust NY style slice . Today the slice was completely uncooked. The crust was floppy and under the cheese and sauce it was the color and consistency and taste of, well, raw pizza dough- yellow stretchy gooey yuk. I showed it to the guy at the counter and he was not interested . Not feeling too well - hopefully not contaminated with bacteria since it wasn't cooked. I only had two bites and disposed of the rest. Check your crust when you get pizza from there to be sure it's cooked . read more

Got a deal for a 1XL Pizza with some garlic knots and a 2 liter of soda at a pretty impressive low price. We got a Pepperoni Pizza, and sadly it was some of the worst flavored pizza I have ever had. The sauce had no flavor, it actually felt like no salt touched anything on the pizza. The crust had absolutely no crunch whatsoever and the inside of the crust felt undercooked. The pepperoni was decent, but I have definitely had better pepperoni at most places. The garlic knots were okay, definitely had some butter on them but could've had more flavor overall for sure. We also decided to pick up some mozzarella sticks, and although we got them delivered, they were completely cold, almost as if they were just sitting a room temperature all day. (Most likely because of the delivery) These were more than likely frozen, non-homemade mozzarella sticks. Definitely could have some upgrades. read more

I order here for my work team from time to time. They are always on time and accurate and they're on GrubHub. Today I ordered a mixture of hot and cold sandwiches, salads, wings and baked ziti and garlic bread. Great big portions of everything! The wings were just as I ordered, medium burn and extra crispy. They also came with a generous portion of blue cheese and carrot sticks! The salads were chock full of fresh vegetables! The only thing I didn't care for was the garlic bread. It was soaked in butter and garlic and wasn't toasted so it was like soggy bread. It was ok dipped in the marinara though but I prefer my garlic bread toasted and a little crispy. So I called and order delivery on Sunday lunch. It arrived in 50 min; was perfect. But food! I ordered ziti pasta;medium greek pizza with pep and green 10 wings. The Ziti does not have ricotta;it has only little no taste tomato sauce and little mozzarella cheese on the top. It was basically cheese pasta. No ricotta no parmesan nothing. So pizza was okay but if i am gonna pay that much;i could have so much better pizza. It was not different than domino's. Wings was not tasty. So I believe they do not know how to cook in their menu. Was promised my pie in 40-50 min. I called over an hr later (6:08 pm) to just ask the eta and was told "It's on the way" when I asked if it had just left or was almost here, they told me they didn't know. My cold pizza arrived roughly 15 min later- about the time it takes to drive there and back. Also, their "sausage" is super thinly sliced... something. Don't order it and think you'll have any meat on your pie. I called to let them know it arrived cold- they wanted me to send my pizza back which maybe would have been possible if I wasn't trying to feed a toddler. I explained that I have a little kid who has been waiting on their dinner for over an hour and suggested even a small credit towards my next pie. was just told they don't do that. I've never had a bad experience here. You can't go wrong with their pick up special (LG cheese pizza for 9.26+tax). My favorite is their wings. I've only had their mild flavor, but the wings are nice and meaty. My boyfriend and daughter love them as well. Prices aren't too bad and seem about average to other pizza spots around. The woman behind the counter has a thick Russian accent, so you might have to have her repeat the total. She doesn't have the best customer service skills, but she's tolerable. Late in reviewing. Last fall I was in charge of ordering 12 large pizzas for 20 hungry boys after a carwash fundraiser. The place I ordered from (a day ahead) called me 20 min before pickup time to tell me they couldn't fill my order. Panicked, I called all around town with no success and finally came to Gusto's. They happily took my order and cheerfully had all the pizzas ready in about 30 minutes. Amazing customer service! Add to that, the pizza is delicious. My picky family has decided that while they think the crust is a bit thin, the sauce to crust to cheese ratio is perfect, and I like a thinner crust anyway. Tonight we got salads in addition to a pizza order and the vegetables were perfect, fresh and crispy. This is my absolute go-to pizza place in Delmar. read more

I want to start by saying that I love the pizza here. They have great slices and subs. That said, I have a bit of a bone to pick with the buffalo wings. Buffalo sauce is 2 ingredients- Frank's red hot and butter. They make a premixed sauce that probably uses margarine instead of butter but it's still a good alternative. I don't know what these guys use but it's definitely got sugar in it and it doesn't have the richness of butter. It tastes like there are spices of some kind in it as well. Definitely not buffalo wings. Please add traditional buffalo wings to your menu, I'd buy them regularly if you did. read more

Really like Gusto's. A favorite Friday meal. Speciality pizzas (Kurds, steak and cheese, supreme) are great as are the cheese (double the cheese) and olives. Always ready when they say it will be and are very friendly. Today, I mis-ordered, only double cheese, forgot the olives. They put them on for me! I double tipped this time. Do love this place. NEVER GET FOOD FROM THIS PLACE!!!!! Got an Antipasto salad and a calzone. The antipasto salad was pathetic and horrible. There was barley any meat on the salad (Antipasto salad has meat on it, basically a meat salad with some lettuce). The driver who delivered it was rude and didn't even knock. When we called the restaurant and the man who answered the phone spoke very poor english and was also very rude and hard to understand, was a native asian speaker, as was the driver. We got a new salad but it took over an hour to get here and again the driver was terrible, still. So just sayin` won`t be using Gusto`s again, neither should you. read more

With a curfew enacted in Albany, we ventured from our normal spot to Gustos. Seems a lot of people did as well. They were so busy and we waited over an hour and twenty minutes for our pick up order. They had over 20 tickets lined up with just one gentleman and his mom behind the line. No complaints from us on the wait though, everything was well worth it. They communicated with us well so we were not left with any wrong information about when the order would be ready. I was worried with the rush that the wings wouldn't be as crispy or the pizza wouldn't be done enough but it was nothing short of perfect. Even after our drive home, still so great. Ordered with the mealeo mobile app. Estimated time was 40-60 minutes , surprisingly food arrived about half an hour and was scoldingly hot. I'm working in AM right across the street and that's my favorite place to lunch - salads are green and fresh and pizza so yummy. Workers are always friendly and nice. I've never ordered wings or appetizers, fried food it's not my fav, so I can't say for that. I've tried. I've ordered over and over again hoping they would improve. They even have given me gift cards for ordering so often. But tonight is the last straw. Salads had more water in them than the dressing, which instead of HONEY MUSTARD, THEY SENT MUSTARD. Really? Then, they forgot the wings. Mind you I ordered them extra crispy. They came back with wings that were no where close to even being cooked as long as they should have been. My meal was completely ruined. I've tried to like them. Gyro meet is always dry. Overall terrible experience. The pizza is just OK but wings were way over cooked (burned). We ordered on grubhub and it took more than 1.5 hours to deliver the food, which was totally cold by then. We live about 5 miles from the shop! I called to complain at about the 1 hour mark they told me it would be there in 5 min. there was no apology or offer for discount or anything. Not much in the way of customer service. We have ordered from here in the past and the delivery time has gotten later and later each time. Yet every time, I end up with pizza that's bland, pasta servings that are small, and a wimpy imitation of basil tomato pizza that is aggressively mediocre. I have ordered pickup from Gusto's innumerable times since they changed owners (they were previously Pizza House). I definitely like Gustos better. Their buffalo chicken pizza is great. My girlfriend who is very picky about chicken likes it too. They have a huge menu but I can only speak for the pizza, calzones, and hot subs; all good. read more
