This is a great place to buy guns, everyone is very friendly and customer service it top. They explain everything to you and help fit the right firearm to your need. They never rush you to make a choice. I give them 5 Stars. read more

I have only purchased ammo here. (But the last time they were out completely of 38 and 357. No idea when they will get more.) I did try to purchase a holster and a larger hand grip. Neither were in stock so I had to purchase on line. But I will say, the clerk did spend some time both instances trying to find what I wanted. read more

I went in looking for ammo and the old man that helped me was very rude to me, then he makes a stupid comment about me wanting to buy ammo as a gift to one of the other guys. Never again will I go to this store. Very rude and none of them were wearing mask. If I could give no stars I would read more

We found this gun shop online as I was researching gun safes. My wife and I went there to see the line of Liberty safes in stock and found the one I was looking at in particular and it was even on sale. After getting the information needed about the safe we browsed the shop for a bit and my wife ended up purchasing a Glock 42 .380. Fair price for a quality gun and the paperwork only took 15 minutes or so.. I'm not sure why some of the negative posts are here but our visit was excellent, we were made to feel very welcome the moment we stepped in the door and we will definitely go back again. read more

Had a great experience at Gus Plus. Worked with Ken, Kelly & Kevin. All three were very knowledgable and friendly. I bought a SIG SAUER P320 9MM and my wife bought a KIMBER BEL AIR MICRO 380. Great deals! We've already attended their Basic Marksmanship and Safety Course at Ben Avery Range. The instructor was Kevin and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Next up is their CCW Class next month. Thanks Guns Plus Team. Bob & Debra read more

Guns plus is a definite must stop by for gun enthusiasts. It is owned and operated by Mr Ken Senft and he is on staff as well to answer any questions or concerns; a true gentleman and Vietnam Veteran. They just opened up their newly rennovated store and it's much bigger with a good selection of both guns, rifles, machine guns, pepper spray, self defense courses for women, CCW classes at a discount when you buy a weapon there, safes, t shirts, gun holsters, targets, kevlar vests and anything and anything you might think of when it comes to self defense. A lot of police officers stop in there for their gun needs as well so it's a very reputable place. You might occaisonally see some Mexican Mafia gangs in there and some numb nuts that don't understand why they can't buy a weapon after their assault charge and rape charges. lol...but other than that a very clean store. They can't seem to keep guns in stock they are flying off the shelves these days so fast; so be prepared to stand in line. On any given day there seem to be about 30 customers in there shopping with only about 3 or 4 sales staff. I've taken their CCW class taught by Mr Senft himself up at Ben Avery's (see my review of them) gun range. It is very informative and a must class to take if you're going to carry or own a weapon. Yes, Arizona doesn't require the CCW anymore to carry concealed but Ken will tell you 11 reasons why you STILL NEED the CCW ! and it's true. You need to be educated and smart and cautious about owning a gun. It has the potential of getting you into a lot of trouble or prison if you are ignorant of the laws. So please take the course for your own good and safety. Please visit Guns plus and tell em Danny sent ya.. read more

I have purchased a couple firearms amoung supplies from Guns Plus. Every time I go in I get nothing but the best customer service. I have dealt with the owner Ken and also Kellie as well as a couple other store employees. All are knowledgeable and if they are not sure of an answer they won't just say something. Research is done and you have the correct answer. Recommend them highly!!!! read more

Worst retail gun shop experience of my life. The impression i got is unless you're a cowboy action shooter or an established collector they really donation seem to give a crap if you have a positive experience or not..I have been inside this store on 5 occasions and in 4 of them have observed a customer belittled by a clerk who no matter what the customer said, had to prove that he was the dominant person in the conversation. In short this shop is manned by the most condescending group of gun people I've ever met. so unless you're a collector or a cowboy action shooter, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! Preppers not welcome. read more

Went to purchase a firearm my CCW was faded on top left from being in wallet so they wouldn't accept it even though it was perfectly legible. Was delayed by NICS, waited my three days and called. Said they couldn't release it till they heard back. Not the law but ok if that is their policy, just had to fight to get money back. Horrible experience, horrible customer service skills, will never recommended or be back. Plus their prices are way too high. read more

This was the first time I have purchased a firearm from Guns Plus. I bought a S&W Shield 9mm because it was on sale for a great price. The service was decent, but the store was empty. After calling the NICS I was delayed (not their fault) but after asking when I could pick the firearm up they had no idea... Because they do not honor the 3 day delay that the NICS has. So now I don't have my gun or my money and they have no idea when I can come to pick it up... I'm a little agitated that they just simply don't care. I would like to take my money elsewhere but they have a 20% restocking fee implemented and I'm not going to pay $80 just to get my money back. BULLSHIT. Take your money elsewhere! The handgun was purchased on 12/30/14 read more

These guys are clown shoes. I go in and tell them i am new to guns and plan on buying a few. You'd think they would want to take care of someone like me as i purchased the most expensive handgun they had, signed up for a class, and had told them i planned on buying a few more guns like a shotgun, rifle etc. I tried to communicate a few times with them via email. When they do decide to respond its usually several days later. Many of my emails asking about additional magazines went ignored. The class was ok. Instructor was good but the owner was also there and he belittled the instructor in front of the class which i thought was unprofessional, especially since the owner was butting in and saying what the instructor had already told us. Had the owner been paying attention, he would have realized he didn't have to open his big mouth at all as his employee was doing a fine job. Next, i manage to find a AR-15 online. A nice Colt one which is a top of the market one. The online company holds the gun for a week for you to allow you to get the FFL to them. I contact Guns Plus and ask them about the whole transfer process and they respond with the cost. I ask Guns Plus to send a copy of their FFL to the retailer and i also contact the retailer with Guns Plus info. A few days go by and i send Guns Plus a email to make sure the FL was sent........no response. I contact the retailer and they say they contacted Guns Plus too and that Guns Plus had said they were going to be faxing it over but never did. I ended up going with another gun shopwho took care of everything within 15 minutes of me emailing them. I almost lost the gun thanks to the appalling customer service at Guns Plus. read more

Guns Plus is a fantastic firearm store, it's a great alternative from the huge retail monsters. I have had the opportunity to purchased a few guns and a suppressor from Guns Plus and the experience was always a delightful one. The CCW course was top notch and very informative and they have one of the cheapest gun transfer fees around. I'm going there now to pickup my M1a. Solid 5 stars in my book. read more

Best gun store in Surprise! The competition doesn't compare to the prices and customer service.

I needed to transfer family heirloom shotguns from AZ to our son in Missouri. The people at Guns Plus couldn't have been more accomodating. Ken and Kat were the two wonderful people who assisted me and they made the process quick and easy. They completely took away the hassle and run-around that I was experiencing from previous people I was trying to deal with. Customer Service? As they were assisting me, they would continually greet people coming into the store saying with "sir, we'll be right with you. Please feel free to look around." Their Customer Service is excellent. I don't know which store the other people who reviewed Guns Plus visited, but it couldn't have been this one. Thank you Kat and Ken for a great experience. read more

Good selection, friendly staff. The prices were good, the item I was looking for was not only in stock, but on sale. They also had a great selection of used guns as well as new. I will definitely shop here again. read more

I have always experienced friendly helpful interactions with the staff here. Through the years I've purchased and sold a few firearms through them and always felt I got a fair deal-not great, but fair. The selection has diminished considerably over the years-though one thing that hasn't changed is the overall look of the place. Many people enjoy browsing gun shops enjoying the dream of having various equipment. The shop is small, the decor stale, and the displays uninspiring. The greatest diversity I've seen in almost 20 years is a cigar display. It is too bad because this could be a fun place to visit, possibly bringing enough revenue to increase inventory, but is seems this is just not important to them. read more

Staff was extremely helpful appraising two firearms and cleared a jammed round easily in one of them. Kevin was very helpful and knowledgeable when comparing the two firearms and shared trends in law enforcement to help with my decision. I would consider purchasing a firearm from them knowing the care and consideration they provide their customers. read more

Great employees, super chill & great to chat with. I just bought a 5.56 bore brush with military discount!

Horrible customer service. Cocky employees. I know our Arizona gun laws, I don't need some hard ass beer bellied man telling me I can't buy a handgun if I'm under 21. I could not even check out their stock on rifles because of the constant staring! This is the second time I've had dickhead give me attitude for nothing more than looking at the handguns. read more

I have been going to Guns Plus for nearly 20 years and am always treated very well. The owner Ken is very knowledgeable and aims to please. The other employees are equally as friendly and helpful. What I like about this store is they make you feel like family when you walk in. Their selection isn't the biggest, but its good and they can get you anything you need. Highly recommend!! read more

I dropped my handgun off at Guns Plus because they said they have a gunsmith to which they farm work. I asked for a trigger job and they said it would take 2 to 3 weeks. After four weeks, I called Guns Plus to find out when the job might be finished. After checking with the gunsmith, they left a message saying it would be 2 more weeks. After 2 more weeks I called again and they left a message that they were still awaiting parts. No estimate on completion, and no apology or other comment on the delay. Finally, I called Guns Plus and asked that they just return my gun. A week later, they left a message saying I could pick up my gun. When I retrieved my gun they made no comment or apology. I have to say that I was stunned at the indifference these people had for my situation. I was never offered an explanation. apology or any other comment. I was never offered an update until I requested one. They were neither rude nor friendly, just totally indifferent. I am not a spring chicken, I have dealt with many businesses in my lifetime. However, I have never had this experience before or since. This business was a monumental waste of my time and resources. I will never do business with them again and recommend that you don't either. read more

I just bought a semi automatic after using a revolver for years. Ken couldn't have been more patient or helpful to me. He gave me a great trade-in value and a great price on my new firearm. I've bought 5 other guns in my past from 5 different stores.....this one was the best in service and price for me. As a female, I was treated with the same respect and professionalism as were the men. I had a terrific experience all around! read more

This place is a joke. Purchased a S&W 15 22 with slide fire stock Won't work. Have taken to several gun smiths and they told me they sold me a bill of goods. Had several parts installed in gun still won't work. Went back to guns plus to ask for a trade for AR 15 and the owner was rude and did not want to talk to me. Don't buy a gun here. read more
