I spoke to the owner who gave me his suggestions, so I took home full size slices. We tried the blueberry lemon, caramel cream, and vanilla, each with a different creamy topping. I cannot express enough how delicious they were. They look dry on top because it's bread based, but they were each so moist. They were even better a few days later and served COLD! If you want something super sweet he had an oreo bread pudding.. if you'd like fruit on it he had a blueberry bread pudding and I believe there was a strawberry bread pudding as well. The wife had heard about the Gulf Coast Bread Pudding company and we decided to get some after having a late lunch on Saturday. The atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming. The service was top notch and the bread pudding was spectacular. I had the banana rum bread pudding with the butter rum sauce. After the first bite I was at a loss for words as the mixture of flavors I experienced exceeded my expectations. And let me be honest, I went in with exceedingly high expectations. My wife got the sweet potato bread pudding and my son got the chocolate bread pudding both with their respective sauces. Just for added measure and to verify that our taste buds were performing at their optimum levels, we decided to get the white chocolate bread pudding with the white chocolate sauce for a little late night sampling. We all loved our selection of bread pudding and called dibs on the additional white chocolate breading pudding purchased. The size of the bread pudding is not too big but not too small. To be fair, it is just about the right size where you wish you had more but you know shouldn't eat more because if you had it, you would eat it. Again, the ambience was wonderful and the service fantastic. I will say this though, they provide directions on how to heat and eat if you are taking it to go which is what we did. They explained that you heat the sauce and the pudding in the microwave separately and they provided the amount of time for each. You don't want it too hot when you try to eat it. We followed their directions and I must say it really made for a more wonderful experience. We will definitely add this place to our weekly list of go to places. I have been eating bread pudding for over 50 years, but never knew of so many flavor options. I believe if a business is going to put a single food item as their business name it better be above average. I ordered the wild blueberry lemon, and the strawberry cinnamon roll to go. Being my first time here I was given verbal instructions on reheating the bread pudding and sauce in a microwave oven. I had the blueberry on night one, reheated in microwave oven, the flavor was very good, but it came out very soggy. The second night I had the strawberry cinnamon roll and reheated it in my toaster oven lightly covered with foil. The result of reheating in the toaster oven removed the excessive moisture and made a much better dessert. My opinion if your bread pudding appears to be soggy before reheating, do not use a microwave oven. Also I did not use the provided sauce on either, pudding was sweet enough for me without it. My neighborhood newsletter mentioned their grand opening date, and I've been meaning to drop by ever since. I finally made it there yesterday shortly before closing. Since I was arriving so close to closing, I was worried they may be sold out of what I wanted, but they had everything available. There was a line even at the late hour I got there (~20 mins before closing). It moved quickly though. The lady that helped me was nice. She explained how to heat up the bread pudding since I didn't want her to heat it up right then. I followed her instructions and my bread pudding came out great! I got the bourbon apple and the sweet potato crumble. Hubby and I split them and both were DELICIOUS. I will definitely be back. Since I always check reviews for parking, it's in a small area with multiple storefronts, so parking was not an issue. read more

OMG!!! This is THE best bread pudding I've ever had! They really know what they're doing at Gulf Coast Bread Pudding! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The owners are a husband and wife team. If you have any questions, they are happy to answer them. If you take some home(which we did), he'll tell you how long to warm it up and if you happen to bring home some sauce(we did), he'll tell you how long to warm it too. We both got the pumpkin pie bread pudding. All I can say is, foodgasm! It is the smoothest bread pudding out there! It has pecan crumble topping. I got the caramel pecan sauce and my wife got the rum sauce. All their bread pudding and sauces are mix and match. We brought home the vanilla bread pudding and the banana bread pudding and two rum sauces. I had the vanilla bread pudding. Another foodgasm! I really want to try the flavor of the month which is rum pineapple. I forgot, they have jazz music playing which is fine. The only negative I have is the metal chairs. They do have two small couches and coffee tables you could sit at if you want to take a nap after eating but I'd rather not.
