The door knob matched exactly like the other doors, and the window was beautiful with the same design but better quality and energy efficient! Miguel was easy to communicate with and explained well what was wrong with windows/doors and the options we could choose for each. He was easy to approach with any concerns while also being professional. He and his team took their time on their job and made sure everything was good before we paid. It came with a defective locking mechanism that never worked. We've been trying to get a new locking mechanism from HDW for over six months now, dating back to April 2025. The funny thing is, I've talked to three associates starting with Zara, then Amir and finally David. Zara (I believe the receptionist) who did all she could to get the warehouse to ship me the part. When that didn't happen, she put me in touch with Amir & David. When I got hold of David, he's made repeated promises to get me the replacement locking mechanism only to experience at least six false promises. The service was prompt, the glass was cut accurately, and everything fit perfectly when I installed it in the cabinet doors. I was also really impressed with how carefully they packaged the glass. Everything was well protected and arrived back at my shop without any damage. As a woodworker, getting accurate glass dimensions is extremely important because even a small mistake can create problems during installation. These pieces dropped right into the doors exactly as planned. Great workmanship, great customer service, and a very smooth experience from start to finish. Then they disappear for days or even weeks, offering excuse after excuse. They drag out the project while constantly asking for payment. When only about 70% of the work was done, they told me the job was "complete," even though basic things like door frames weren't installed. They just wanted their money so they could move on to the next project. They also don't keep their promises. They left trash, leftover food, and construction mess everywhere. They promised to haul away debris on the second day and then vanished completely. The owner, Jose, has a terrible attitude. Bottom line: they want your money without putting in the work. Reply to your comment Jose: There may be two sides to every story, but when many customers raise the same concerns, it's worth taking a closer look internally. Repeatedly responding to negative reviews by blaming or insulting customers instead of acknowledging issues only reinforces those concerns. This review reflects my actual experience. The weather strip is also not fitting correctly and we were having a hard time closing the door as it was too thick that we have to hold on to the door and lock it at the same time. Look at the photos for reference. We called them to fix it and sure he isn't happy but he came back and stripped off the weather strip which leaves us with spaces around the door. It's really terrible work. I also regret switching from our old door to this because of this problem. They leave their work area so dirty that I have to clean after them. Also, no proper receipt was given at first. I had to tell him we were looking at changing our windows (a service he also provides) and that's when he sent me a proper receipt. We found someone else for the windows who are absolutely professionals, clean and give proper invoices and receipts. I really hate putting bad reviews for small businesses but I am left with pretty much a crappy job. I wouldn't recommend this company.
