I found the glass shop in Pico Rivera close to my shop in Whittier. Josh and his team cut several pieces of 1/8" glass for custom cabinet doors I built, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Josh and his staff were very knowledgeable, helpful, and made sure the measurements were right for what I needed. The service was prompt, the glass was cut accurately, and everything fit perfectly when I installed it in the cabinet doors. I was also really impressed with how carefully they packaged the glass. Everything was well protected and arrived back at my shop without any damage. As a woodworker, getting accurate glass dimensions is extremely important because even a small mistake can create problems during installation. These pieces dropped right into the doors exactly as planned. Great workmanship, great customer service, and a very smooth experience from start to finish. Joshua and his team were reliable and professional. I was very satisfied with the workmanship. I had a window that suffered major water damage from a previous poor installation and significant water was coming into my home. They were at my house for at least three hours so although the repair was a bit more expensive than I initially expected -- I felt they put in their time and necessary effort to address and repair the problem. I would definitely recommend getting an estimate from them first and then compare. I would definitely do business with them again!!! We had a large hole in our front window due to neighborhood thugs. Wasn't sure how we were gonna get it fixed without making a mess inside our apartment. We had a Hope Depot associate come out and see what they could do. He gave us a quote to replace the whole window, which was about $2000 and said it would take about 4-6 weeks to get it done. Nope. Cant wait that long and cant afford that. Cut to us calling Joshua's Windows & Doors on Thanksgiving weekend and they scheduled someone to come out on Tuesday morning. Brian showed up on time, with an upbeat positive attitude, ready to work. He put our worries at ease from his professional demeanor, so we let him do his thing. Before we knew it, he had the whole broken window out, without cracking the window anymore than it already was. Took it out by his van, threw away the broken window, and replaced new window in its frame. Done without a mess in about 20 minutes. Brought it back and fit it back in 10 minutes. Great customer service. Joshua came out the next day for an estimate and on the same day I scheduled the work. It was a special order window so we had to wait a couple weeks. The work was scheduled and we got our beautiful window installed. They did run into a issue and had to spend a couple extra hours (discovered once the old window frame was removed) on the install, but they did not increase our estimate. The 2 man crew patiently and professionally installed the new window making sure it was centered, molding was sealed and everything looked clean. I read the negative reviews on this guy but gave him the benefit of the doubt. He arrived at my house the week of August 17th, to give a price on the installation of two, high end windows. First impression is that Joshua who owns the company, treated the high end windows as if they were crap, and spoke of the wonders of vynil windows. Second (and I realized this AFTER he left), he began video recording inside my house without asking permission. This happens again with any contractor, I know what to do. Third, when conversing about the rates involved for reframing, he stated "no one will come here for less than $550 to do this (1 window reframing). Be it true or not is a matter of debate, what I noticed was his attitude....negative....I think he got the impression that he was visiting an impoverished man and judged accordingly. Lastly, no feedback at all after the guys visit...no offer, no "I'm not going to bid" NOTHING. My advise, find someone who is humble, and knows how to show basic decency when entering anothers home. Completely botched the job on our home, replacing our windows with the same type of window we had already. We basically paid for a new window for nothing. He knew what we needed. There were red flags before the installation based on Josh's lack of communication, however the deposit was already taken. He also lied afterward about him discussing how he installed the incorrect windows. But we have to accept this loss as is. ****HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!!!!****** I had a small leak coming from what I thought may be the trim of my living room window. Browsed around and saw this company had pretty good reviews so I decided to give them a call. To my surprise they were able to send someone to come check out my window whitin a few hours. The guy that showed up was a very nice older Mexican man. Showed him where the problem was and he inspected the window. He said the trim showed some cracking all the way around but could not tell me 100 % if the leak was coming from there or the roof. He said he could start by taking off the old caulking and re-caulking the exterior and interior of the window to see if that would solve the problem. My mistake was to not ask him what the charge would be for that before he did the work. (I take full blame for that part and lesson learned). He chipped away the old caulk and re-caulked around the entire window (5'x 3') with silicone. He did a nice job and it looked good. The whole process took about 45 minutes from inspecting the window to finish. I asked them man what the charge was and he said he would call his boss to find out. After a quick phone call he came back and said he was embarrassed to tell me the price. With a face full of embarrassment he worked up the courage and said, "they told me it will be $350" my jaw dropped immediately, I was shocked!! I told the man to give me a few minutes to call the office so I can discuss the price with them. I spoke to a lady (Monique, or Monica I think was her name) and asked her why the price was so high for literally silicone caulking of 1 window. She said she would speak to her boss and call me right back. She called back a few minutes later and said her boss told her the best they could do for me was $280. I get that prices with inflation have gone up but this is outrageous!! Price gauging at its best. This company is taking advantage of customers in their most critical times of need. Will definitely NEVER EVER use them or recommend them to anyone. THIEVES!!!!!! read more
