G's is O.K. for breakfast. Not so great for lunch and dinner. The quality of the food is a slight notch up from fast food. My 15 year old son actually refuses to eat there and would prefer to make himself a PBJ instead. I think that says enough. My wife and I went there on a Friday night and were pleasantly surprised to see the crowd of people at the bar and the tables, it felt like it did 10 years ago before it went through some changes. The bartenders were great we had Nicole and Alan who never kept us waiting for a drink. We really enjoyed Nicole's demeanor she, made us feel at home. The food menu is the same as it has been and the quality is good. We are definitely going to add this back on our list as a spot to go! read more

With a recently renovated interior, I had hoped that they had improved the quality of food as well. My unnaturally colored yellow "Texas French Toast" was served with fake butter, fake syrup (HFCS) and sour frozen orange juice. Reminded me of hospital food. I'll stick with Rogowski's Farm for weekend breakfast from now on. read more

Went on a rainy Monday night, it was about 6 when we were seated. 1 table leaving, 3 others still eating, expecting diner food and it was NOT BUSY. It took 30 minutes to get my pre-made salad, then food came within 3 minutes. We ordered an alpine burger and the layered chicken. Burger was supposed to be rare, was medium, and the chicken had been sitting under the heat lamp. The waitress asked if everything was ok and left before we could answer. Have not had a decent meal there in a long time. At least the owner/hostess wasn't there, she really makes the customer feel that they are inconsiderate for bothering her for a table. In short if you go to this diner lower your standards. read more

Yes. Go here. I've only been here in the morning on weekdays for breakfast and it's usually been low-key enough for fast service and for the prices you will get your meal's worth. Try the eggs scrambled with Taylor ham and a stack of pancakes. And the seating is almost fully surrounded by tall windows with thin dividers so you will feel the solar energy shine through and brighten up your day while you wait for your food. Try it out - you can't miss it. Never been to the bar downstairs. read more

These folks need to step it up. Great location, busy touristy village, but the food prep is below diner standards. Wait staff is friendly and attentive. The hostess is a sourpuss and needs to welcome guests. This can be a super village go- to place if the owners had the right attitude. read more

I used to frequent this restaurant at least once a week. Service was always excellent and the food was great. Since they changed ownership, the service has not been that good and I stopped going there since that time. The main thing that really disouraged me from going there was the new owner's family was there and they were running all over the restraunt and did not think that was good for business since they were very loud and rude. read more

This was the worst sit down breakfast experience i have ever had. We walked in and stood in front of what i assume is the Owner, she decided acknowledging us wasn't something she was interested in so we stood there until one of the waitresses said hello and sat us down. We ordered a milk and coffee, my milk was disgustingly warm (on our way out we saw the male owner working with some refrigeration equipment, so they know there is a problem but served it to me anyway.) I ordered french toast with scrambled eggs and Taylor ham, my dad had the 'farmers' omelet. Now there is no one else in the place, our food still took twenty minutes, and it was horrible. My 'scrambled' eggs were clearly fake, and they didn't even make the effort to scramble them, huh? It was just a yellow omelet looking thing, and tasted as bland as possible. My french toast was under cooked and so dry i had trouble cutting it. i drowned it in syrup and it still was terrible. My dads omelet wasn't much either, it advertised as lots of fresh veggies in an omelet. It was really just potatoes that weren't diced small enough to eat, barely cooked. His toast didn't come out right away because they burnt it, and the toast they did bring didn't even qualify as toast, more like buttered bread. After all this i understood why on a Friday morning, a diner was empty for breakfast. the owner was so rude I couldn't believe it. While waiting for our food, I went to use the restroom, As i was walking there she managed to cut in front of me dump her coffee in a bus tub and walk back in front of me without acknowledging my existence, again, or even directing me towards the restroom... On our way out, The male owner looked at us, She didn't take her eyes off the newspaper, and neither said thank you. Well Thank you G's, I used to come here at night and had good friends who were bartenders as well, but i will never hand over another penny to this place. There are plenty of other places in this town to go, places that make good food, have nice bars and manage to be friendly at the same time. I see no reason whatsoever to go here. read more

The best restaurant in Warwick. Period!!! I was there couple of weeks ago with the family for apple picking and decided to stop by to have a bite. The wait staff was incredible. They came by ever so often to see if we needed anything. Not so often, that is was annoying, but just right. The food was great and the price was very reasonable. We then headed down to the bar area for drinks. It had a very nice bar area and the drinks hit the spot after a nice meal. I have to say, what more can you ask for? A good restaurant and a bar that is totally separated from the dining area. The best of both worlds. Must have stayed at the bar for hours after dinner. Love it. read more

Gs... We have been going to Gs for years. This is a family run restaurant - the food is great. The hostess (Helene) and sometimes waitress is ALWAYS super sweet, efficient and on point. The other other waitresses are great also. Don't believe any of these ridiculous reviews - I know everyone is entitle to their opinion - but let's be realistic... I have witnessed outrageously rude customers walk in like they are the cat's ass and entitled to be treated like royalty. Having to wait to be seated is the NORM. If the restaurant is PACKED you will have to WAIT. Is that a difficult concept to grasp?? I don't think so. I've yet to go and not get water, refills, or asked if everything was to my liking. read more

My father and I decided to stop in at G's with my 18 month old sister for a quick lunch one day in January. It was not warm in the restaurant and my baby sister started shivering rather violently. When my father asked the hostess if she wouldn't mind turning the heat up, she flat out refused, saying the heat was set to 70 and would turn back on any minute. I was appalled that an employee would refuse to do anything to accommodate a family with an obviously very cold baby. I came to find out that the hostess was actually the owner of the restaurant! I was shocked. I have lived in Warwick my whole life and my family has given the restaurant business since they've opened. I will never be a patron at a place that is so insensitive to the comfortability of their customers. Even if the food was stellar, (it is mediocre at best) I would still never come here, ESPECIALLY with so many great cafes and restaurants in Warwick that are right down the street. read more

I brought my mom there for her birthday dinner..big .mistake! There was only one other couple in the entire place ..we were told to take any seat and the waitress came over fairly quickly. We ordered water to drink, the meat lasagna and penne vodka pasta with chicken. The food was terrible.. I have had tastier TV dinners!! You were lucky to have found any meat in the lasagna and the penne with vodka sauce with chicken was tasteless. It came with 5 scrawny pieces of chicken that were so chewy they surely must have been re used from something else.The sauce on the lasagna tasted like they simply opened a couple of cans of tomato sauce and poured it on top..yes, it is not a true Italian place but at least have some flavor!! The scrawniest salad I have ever seen..The waitress never came back after bringing the food..no water refills, no grated cheese,..nothing,..she disappeared to another table to look at her cell phone.Will not be going back, or recommending. read more

9/27/14 To quote someone I heard in Maine a number of years ago. "Well, I've eaten here twice now, the first time and the last time." got there at 4:45pm Saturday evening, maybe 16 other patrons seated. Food was not bad, just not good. tasteless hamburger. Waitress took order and delivered, then disappeared. after waiting 15 minutes for her to return and ask if I wanted an ice tea refill, I walked up to the cashier to request one. she did show up with the bill 10 minutes later. We took the grandkids for a treat. they got the KIDS grilled cheese and the KIDS chicken fingers. meals came, adults French fries and food were warm. Kids French fries were fresh out of the fryer and burned them when they tried to pick them up. Chicken fingers were also fresh out of the fryer and were unable to be touched, actually dropped back on plate because the were so hot. I cut them up with a fork and knife to cool and also swapped French fries with them. REAL FUNNY JOKE KITCHEN STAFF. btw receipt said kids chicken fingers; kids grilled cheese. Gave bill and cash to "owner" She did not simile or ask if food was good, or thank us for coming, or anything else. She did however spend "her" time showing a new hostess how to ring up a check. read more
