It was a dark and stormy night and it was Friday. We had a hankering for some hot French onion soup. We decided to travel back in time to Yesterday. It's on Elm Street now. Rebuilt. Just the same but better. We had a glass of lovely cider and the soup that was delivered piping hot. So good. There's a cozy bar with the baseball game going in back of a partition over the bar area. But there's enough air that it's easy to converse. Plenty of parking now it's relocated off Main Street. You might think you were back in Dublin. Loads of outdoor deck seating for the good weather. This is my 1st yelp review. Rich Meyer was playing last night, so there was a good crowd. Approximately 15 tables and a full bar. They had 2 over run waitresses and a bartender. When we were able to get a drink at the table we waited 30 minutes for it to arrive. I went to the bar to get a round of drinks and was told by the bartender "that since I was at a table, I couldn't get drinks from the bar". Went last night w my cousin, 1st there and I've never been to the previous location...we got there on the early side, not too many ppl there. Stumbled upon this pub while looking for somewhere to eat for my big party in Warwick. They had no wait and staff was super friendly. Ordered some basic pub food, fish and chips, chicken tenders, steak sandwich and a salad with shrimp. Fries, tenders and fish were battered and fried perfectly. Food was not too greasy and did not feel that heavy to eat. Salad was a salad not much to critique. Steak sandwich was more pink than preferred but came on a poppy seed bun. Overall the experience was good, there were a bunch of flies though buzzing around our table which was annoying. Also a little difficult for apple maps to locate the restaurant. Only giving this place 1 star because of the service. A group of friends and I went hiking this morning and went to this Irish Pub for some burgers and beers. Place was dirty and the floors were sticky. Service was great but the man in charge was disgraceful and embarrassing. He was clearly drunk behind the bar and representing the business poorly. We will not be back. I feel terrible for the staff that has to work with him. read more

We've been going to Yesterdays Irish Pub frequently since they reopened in March.... we have no complaints and rather compliments for how strong John and Peggy Christison have been throughout the process of building a new restaurant during these times. Are there growing pains? Of course there are.... as with all start ups.... but we have had some very tasty comfort foods that are only found here.... we are always met with a smile and a beer in hand... we love growing with them in their new place...Just as we loved the old place on Main St ... the New place on Elm St is reminiscent of Main St with its own charm that welcomes you as you walk in the door... read more

BEST SHEPHERD'S PIE EVER! I stopped in here with my lead singer a couple years ago. I had a meal that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. The shepherd's pie is the best I've ever eaten. I would travel back to Warwick from Southern California specifically to eat this meal again. Braised lamb shank in my opinion is the only way to make a shepherd's pie. It was tender, flavorful and had an incredible buttery consistency that left your mouth coated in what I would call a warm saucy hug. Got takeout the other day for lunch, I have lived in Warwick for about 16 years and have never actually eaten here and thought I would try it out. I asked the women working and she suggested the Shepherds pie as it was really good. It came with broccoli on the side which was steamed. The shepherd's pie was very good. The meat was tender and the potatoes had a great crust but were still soft. I was kind of disappointed that it didn't have any veggies in it but I guess that was what the broccoli was for. read more

Great outdoor seating, but a bit of a sewer odor since the outdoor seating is in close proximity of it. Even though the restaurant is in its new location, fixtures and tables seem a bit old and run down. Our group ordered French onion soup - which was said to be delicious, steamers - which came steamed but dry and butter on the side, had no flavor if not for the butter, baked clams - which was pretty much a breadcrumb patty with very little minced clams. We each ordered cheeseburgers and although they had an initial char broiled taste, were dry. The burger was served on an oversized poppy seed kaiser roll with one small piece of lettuce and sliver of pickle. Not enough to cover the burger. The order was served with steak fries, which if we received 8-10, that was a lot. My husband ordered a second beer, which never arrived and upon reading the receipt, the original beer wasn't what he ordered. Pretty overpriced for what we ate. Very disappointed. We used to love the old place on Main Street- The new location is much larger, and beautifully done, but looks can be deceiving. Yesterdays calls themselves an Irish Pub. I ordered a Black and Tan, and the waitress told us she was asked not to take orders for them anymore, they won't do them. The menu was limited to a few items, as they were only open for a week. I ordered a steak sandwich, it came as a flat bun with a few slices of meat on it. This for $15. I asked for steak sauce, they didn't have any. I tried to order a hamburger to go for my son, and was told they are not taking to go orders. ( the lady a few tables up was able to take her "leftovers" in a to go container). Having been to the old restaurant many times, I was really shocked at what we encountered. We went at lunchtime, but the area of the restaurant we were sitting in had no overhead lighting, so dark that we needed to use our phones to see the menu. The bartender was kind enough to point out that the tables in this section had battery powered touch lights to use. When we were ready to leave, the owner came by and said "How was it?" I was nice, but told him that our experience at the old location was much better, and we were suprised at some of what we found. I mentioned the Black and tan, and the steak sauce. He did not seem very receptive, or even apologize. He said "you know, growing pains" and walked away. A few minutes later he out of the kitchen and held up recieving papers and said "see! steak sauce"- It makes me sad, but there are plenty of places in Warwick I can spend my money. The servers were nice but it was clear this place is understaffed. Looks like a typical Irish pub, but I think it needs some renovation. The table was sticky as if it hasn't been throughly cleaned. Yesterday's atmosphere could definitely use TLC. A couple friends and I were brewery hopping nearby so we came here in a pinch. The food is ok, nothing special but nothing terrible. The onions in the French onion soup were undercooked, and I don't understand why they didn't thinly slice them. The broth did not have the rich flavor a proper French onion soup should have.The burger was overcooked and the bread was almost hard (Probably from over charring the bun). The pint pours are generous and the draft list is good. The 'glass' of wine could fit in a shot glass, definitely not more than 6 ounces. Yesterday's will definitely be left in yesterday. I feel no reason to come back here or place my stamp of approval on it. The redeeming qualities of this place are the cheap drinks and nice servers; this is not enough for me to consider coming back here. read more

The spot is sort of in the middle of town and a nice place to stop in on. It was a bit cramped but as far as pubs go I was cool wit it. The food was filling, fries were just a touch dry but I won't hold it against them. BBQ pork sandwich was on point. Lobster ravioli was old and over cooked in a greasy sauce, the burger was a frozen patty and gave me an immediate stomach sickness, and the pasta dish was super bland with chunks of raw red onion. I get that this place is a local spot, and if this is all you know in terms of food, I guess you'd think it was OK, but really, the food is not good. Reuben didn't have fresh corned beef, instead it was thinly sliced packaged deli meat. Onion rings we excessively battered and greasy with only a small piece of onion inside. I had to peel off half the batter. The fried chicken basket was exceptionally bad, very fatty, tasteless, patches of dark purple meat throughout and this odd sweet taste. Cute spot. This is the local version of Cheers. Its been there for like 35years, copper ceiling with old-time ceiling fans, walls are covered with antiques, sporting memorabilia, Irish bar poems and old photos. Interior is like your 'classic bar' Waitstaff was local-yocal and friendly. The burger, which they are sorta known for, was totally delicious. Got to watch the bartender-lady expertly handle some late-night drunks, who caused a scene when she opted to not serve the already plastered patrons. Talked them right out the door.
