Every time we've gone, there's always a crowd whether it be small or large. The staff gives prompt service. The menu has such variety with pub fare and your standard American restaurant foods. They were very busy, once you were in your seat you couldn't really move because it was so packed with a HS reunion. I'm posting a sort of twist on a review, I'd like to start off by saying we will not hold our experience against the establishment/ownership at all. We caught them on a rough overwhelmed day, On to what occurred and the point I want to make, we ordered burger sliders with no cheese med rare, sliders came out with cheese so we sent them back, here's where it gets massively concerning, server brings the same sliders back out with the majority of the cheese peeled/scraped off (and well done) which is ruthless by the insubordinate kitchen staff So finally to the point of this post, We will absolutely NOT hold this small great business responsible, cause I am here to say that ownership absolutely does not deserve what that kitchen staff did to his business, absolutely disrespectful employees hurting an owners business, Our server was great, our only disappointment with the staff member was that more than likely they knew the cheese was peeled off and same item was served, but having known that than simply credit the item, don't serve it and charge the customers, that's disappointing (server dropped the ball there) In the end, we will go back but the ownership does not deserve what the kitchen staff did to his customers read more

We love this restaurant but I have to say I was very disappointed when we drove all the way there on July 28 purposely for the kids eat free special as advertised on your FB page and on the menu placed on our table that stated it was offered til 7pm July 28, 29, & 30 just to be told your restaurant changed their mind and it's only offered on Tuesdays. We were told about this promotion by several of our friends who raved about taking advantage of this special. We are frequent customers and I understand if you changed your promotions but to not update it on your fb and still hand out a menu with that information on it seems like false advertising. When I mentioned that to our waitress I was told "sry it was just changed" and when I showed her the menu she handed us she said "yeah I know sry but come Tuesdays. " Since there were only few days left in the month I would have thought you would have changed it going forward and honor what you advertised. I also attempted to contact this company without putting a Yelp review up. Someone contacted me by FB and apologized and offered a gift card to try to make up for the dining experience and then no follow through. Used to love this place pre-Covid, but the place has gone downhill. On our LAST visit, the service was slow (the place was nearly empty). The waitress looked like she could care less about helping us, which was apparent when I watched her count her tips behind the bar 5 minutes after I asked for refills. To top it all off, I was charged $2.50 for a substitution of mashed potatoes instead of rice for my entree, even though the menu clearly states no charge for a substitution like this. When I saw the bill and questioned the waitress, she flat-out lied to my face that this is correct and it doesn't state that on the menu. Now if your thinking about getting the appetizer sampler, DON'T! Halligan's has amazing apps. The Basil Burratta is actually my favorite app of all time, every time I visit my family this is what I need to get. I would avoid the fried foods but almost everything is amazing. A classic no frills pub with above average bar food! We stopped by Halligan's to watch the Yankees game and ended up liking it so much that we returned later on for a nightcap. I didn't eat a full meal, but did snack on the most delicious disco fries ever. Yeah, I just went there. The portion of fries was absolutely massive and came smothered in a ton of cheese and gravy. I'm pretty sure my Fiance and I devoured the mound of fries in less than five minutes. Although we didn't order any other food, the menu pretty much had every type of bar food imaginable. They also have a pretty big selection of tap beers and cocktails to choose from. However there was no pumpkin beer which I was pretty bummed about. At night it's less of a spots bar feel and more of a clubby feel. Super dark, loud music, a DJ and lots of dancing. It didn't seem like there were too many other bars like this in the area so it was unsurprisingly crowded on a Saturday night.
