Wonderful service, delightful atmosphere and delicious food. Would absolutely recommend.

First off, the food is delicious! I was expecting this place to be situated in more of a rural type area but it's off a main road and parking can be tight. We sat in the back room and enjoyed the windows and view out to the back deck. I'd love to go back and sit in the bar area but they can't accommodate more than a 4 person table there. The service wasn't the best. We got a bread basket with only 5 slices of bread for a table of 6. I immediately asked for more and she said yes but it took about 20 mins and a second ask to get. We also ordered two appetizers but the waitress only put one in so we never got the crabcakes. She wasn't horrible or rude, just some misses but they were enough for me to deduct a star. Delicious burger, chicken, sandwich and deserts. Very hearty meals entrees. They did not look like much but were very filling. The blueberry lemon cheesecake was great. The staff were kind and welcoming. The inside looked great and the decor was outstanding. The unique door ceiling and pirate ship like cherry floors made for a great setting. read more

The other four in our group seemed to enjoy their meals, I had the halibut but it was mushy and dry, the cook explained this was due to cold smoking the fish. I looked that up, if done properly this technique should not make the fish mushy. The waitress was very attentive. I'd try this again and avoid the fish. read more

We were a party of about 40 people associated with the US Military Academy at West Point celebrating our annual autumn dinner. This was our first dinner since the COVID restrictions and our first visit to this restaurant. Because we were a large group we selected a fixed menu from several offerings. We chose the "Sage Dinner" which consisted of several very nice courses with entrees of chicken, salmon, or steak. Everyone was delighted with their choices which were created by a CIA graduate. The cozy, historic bar was a favorite. The bar and table servers were attentive and top notch. Everyone agreed that it was one of our best venues. read more

I ate here the other day with 3 others. We were greeted and seated quickly. I ordered the mac & cheese appetizer and it was probably the best I ever tasted. It was cheesy and had a distinct smokey flavor. I ordered the fried chicken meal with deviled eggs, biscuit, pickles and collard greens. It was very good. My martini came in an appropriate glass, which was less fragile than the traditional martini glass. Prices are a little high but the food is worth it. I was told the Landmark Inn's turkey meal was great as well. I definitely would recommend this place to have a great meal. My only problem was that it was very loud. I realize it is not necessarily the owners fault, but maybe wall off a portion or try to fix the acoustics of the place? read more

Orange County native, but new to Landmark Inn. This spot has come highly recommended from friends and family that have been coming in to enjoy their food for years. In search of a local date night spot, I figured what better day to give it a try! I would recommend making a reservation. For a Saturday night, the parking lot and restaurant were pretty full for 7pm. The food is great quality. We started off with 2 appetizers, the special flatbread and mussels dijonnaise. The mussels were so tasty! Super fresh and served hot with some nice crusty sourdough bread to soak up all the sauce! The flat bread was just ok. My boyfriend is a big flat bread fan and enjoyed it, but thought it fell a little flat. It was a simple topping of bacon, cheese and arugula and could have used another minute or two in the oven. Onto the mains, I had the duck my boyfriend had the haddock. The duck was delicious. It was paired with a parsnip puree and a delicious apple based sauce. The puree was a creamy light compliment to the duck and the sauce. The service is also great. Our water glasses were never empty and our waitress was always around if we needed anything throughout the meal. They also offer some great drink options to pair with your meal or enjoy before you get your meal started. Overall, would recommend for some quality eats and drink in OC! read more

I was in town for a weekend and I had a memorable experience here. Love the old rustic tavern vibe in this place. I sat at the bar. The bartender was extremely friendly right off the bat. I ordered the Rosemary's Cocktail ($11) and the Landmark Burger ($18) with pepper jack. The cocktail was delicious; much stronger than I expected, but well balanced. While I waited for my burger, the bartender brought me some complimentary bread and butter. To my delight, it was fresh sourdough bread. Then the burger came. It was perfectly cooked with onion jam and horseradish aioli on the side, a homemade bun. I used the leftover sauce to dip my fries into. The only negative is, for as good as everything here is, the fries were a bit boring. All in all, easily the best meal I've had in Warwick and I'll definitely be back. read more

Am a local .Landmark is the reliable eatery for me on and off for close to 60 years . Under several owners . Present owner for some time is also the chef. Wait staff are local school or young grads . Usually well trained .Dishes are generally very good . Outside add on was for Covid , Bar is cozy . Parking can be a little tight for larger vehicles . Pricing is $$. Been to all the local places . If the restaurants were horses , I might pick another to win the jumping events at MSG but if I needed one to keep me steady on a week in the wilderness, I would take Landmark. read more

My friend and I have been going to Warwick from the city for 6 years and we just found this gem. We were so hungry, we didn't take the photos to showcase everything! Beautiful location and LOVE how there is space between the tables so you can have your space with your party. The view outside of the mountains in the trees is wonderful and they have heaters! Our table had: Potato soup (you taste the cream, bacon bits, and green onion), apple pecan maple salad (so fresh), mussels (dijoinnaise) with sour dough, and risotto and sea scallops. We had red wine- Chianti and the Cotes De Rhône. All the dishes had great flavor. The soup, Mussels, and risotto were rich. I wish we had room for dessert. Had a lovely, lovely dinner here with two friends at a cozy table in the very back corner of the tavern. When entering I could also see how beautiful the main two dining rooms of this restaurant are! The house break basket and butter was spectacular, one of the highlights of our entire meal, it was THAT good. I ended up with an open faced turkey sandwich for dinner, which was good, but was a but disappointed in the turkey itself, had been hoping for more natural chunks of roasted turkey. Oh well... My husband got the chicken but left his doggie bag at the table. We were outside taking a selfie. I wish someone saw it and flagged us but oh well. Dessert was small for a slice of pie. I've been here numerous times over the years - it's one of my grandmas favorites. I enjoy the bar area much more than the regular seating. It's more cozy & it offers the full menu along with a bar menu. There is also a popcorn machine in the bar area! I don't think it's that special, but the food is decent. It's a little pricey for the area. I got the salmon last time I went and it was really good. I substituted the rice with baked sweet potatoes. The potatoes were a little hard, but salmon was delicious. My mom also enjoyed the salmon with rice. My brother in law got the short ribs and sister and grandma got the risotto with scallops. Everyone enjoyed their meals! The service was slow, we never received a refill for our water until the very end of the meal. The place itself is very nice, the building is older and looks very authentic. During the holidays, they have nice decorations up! read more

Saturday on the boat all day and Saturday night at a new to us restaurant. We love old and rustic so we loved this place. It is a fabulous old building with lots of history that was modernized a bit inside to be functional yet parts were left original to keep its old world charm. Plenty of tables available so we were seated promptly. Our server was very nice and took care of our every need. We split a roasted beet salad with goat cheese that was delicious. Sandra had the short ribs over mashed potato. They were tender and flavorful. I had scallops over risotto that was fantastic. Risotto was cooked perfectly and scallops were also. We shared a piece small pecan pie that was unreal. So much flavor and gooey goodness. Prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and quantity that you received. My mom and I came in on a Saturday night when we were looking for a place to go inside without a wait. We ended up feeling surprised that we didn't have to wait since everything was very good. The place is a large old house so their are all different rooms to dine in. It looked like they have a nice outside as well. The room we were in had doors on the ceiling which was super cool. I liked how everyone was spaced out for covid as well. Our waitress was nice but not super attentive but it was ok. We split the beet and goat cheese salad to start and it was very good. We told them we were splitting and they did for us. I love when places do that. For entree I had the salmon and my mom had the scallops with risotto. Mine was cooked well it was just kind of plain and boring but I don't feel it was the restaurants fault. That's what the dish is healthy and boring so my fault for ordering it really. My moms was really good. I don't even like mushrooms and I kept eating her risotto. We didn't have any dessert because they were closing but I will definitely try something next time. read more

I have stopped myself from writing this review for over a year now. Regretfully, I feel it's time to let let Micheal , Owner/Chef, know about how all of us at the table feel about our past experiences. When you've frequented an establishment for years and are on a first name basis with the waitress... one hesitates to leave a negative review. The Tavern at The Landmark was what we compared all other restaurants to. We always felt this was the best. Something changed over the last year or more. I can appreciate the costs of running a restaurant has increased dramatically since 2020. Not an issue. Raise the price, BUT, don't change the food and quality as well! The French Fries used to be AWESOME. Like they just hand cut them before serving. Now, they are basic diner quality. The buns and burgers are mediocre... used to be the best anywhere. The Endive/Radicchio/Pear salad was AMAZING! The prosciutto was literally crafted into roses on the plate. Tonight there were two flat strips laying across the plate. Furthermore, there was no blue cheese at all on the plate. Big disappointment. Even the cherries served with the cocktails are different. We used to compare the Landmark Manhattan to all others and would wonder why everyone else wouldn't use these cherries. Tonight the cherries were soft and swollen- not the delicious dark sharp cherries on a skewer that were served previously. We arrived and waited in an empty room for 5 minutes and were finally greeted. The young lady then scrambled to get our table ready. As if it was the first night. Five tables in the dining room were empty and had not been cleared. Hard to believe for an establishment thats been a staple in our community for years. Complacency has caused many a business to fail. I fear The Landmark may be next. People accepting mediocrity. What a shame. read more
