. They serve frozen chicken wings then claim they cook for 3 hours ;but are still pink on the inside. It's not a smoke layer like they claim or maybe the oil is too old . I just asked it to be cook a little longer not even saying they were pink . The cook comes charging out and scolds me about how long he cooked it and tells me I must like burnt food. He then gave me a good two minute uncomfortable stare-down from across the room to make sure I put the newly cooked chicken in my mouth . Soooooo creepy ! I ended up tossing them out when I got home! I use to love this place but It was recently sold .I guess a year ago ? They also changed half of the appetizer menu to new weird apps . The crispy bacon Brussels sprouts were mushy . My friend came here for her birthday and I wish I could erase this place from her memory. The brisket was disgusting. Like all fatty. We are both servers and are always super polite when we got out. She was sending me pictures. The "manager" on duty was super rude and unhelpful. Had to call her manager when asked to take off atleast one of the disgusting dishes but was super rude about it. Gave an attitude when dropping off the check and my friend called me crying after she left cause she was treated so badly on her birthday. This place should be shut down for the rudeness alone, not even taking into account the disgusting food. The owner did call her but talked over her the entire time and even asked her age (in her 40's) before saying that it's cause the girl is from a younger generation. However, please READ as this review is very honest and deserved. Appetizers - we ordered "pulled pork egg rolls."Once they finally arrived, there was one egg roll for four people. Fine. We cut it into four, took a bite and the center was ICE COLD. Literally frozen. Waiter requested we all put our piece of eggroll back to the plate. The chef RE-FRIED each piece and served it back. This is absolutely unsanitary as we all already bite into the food. Then it was fried in the same oil!!! We should have been served a NEW, FRESH NOT FROZEN egg roll. After an hour, we noticed 2 other tables decided to take a hike before their food came out. We wanted to give the benefit of the doubt and stay. Worst mistake. The waitress never checked on us. Entrees - food took over an hour!! Our order of BBQ cheese burger(side of Mac and cheese), cowgirl (side Mac and cheese), cowboy (side baked potato), beef brisket (side baked potato). After waiting over an hour, the food was yet again COLD!!!!!!! Of course we have to send it back as we expect a hot meal. After rejecting the food and politely asking for the food to be reheated, we received the food cold for a third time. At this point, we asked to speak with the owner still keeping a calm and collected attitude. We continue to give the benefit of the doubt considering a large party walked in after us and was served before us btw. The owner was not apologetic, did not offer to comp part of our meal. Did not offer any solutions other than a bogus apology. With everyone's appetite long gone, we left hungry, unsatisfied and disappointed. I am submitting a report regarding concerns about the health and safety practices at this restaurant. I believe their food handling does not meet the required health standards. Specifically, they were willing to serve frozen food and re-fry food that had already been in contact with by customers' mouths. We just ate dinner here for Valentine's Day. I feel bad leaving a poor review. Honestly it was cute inside. The service was okay we thought it was odd there was only two people working front of house on a Saturday/holiday. Our food was not great. Our meat was excessively tough and very dry. I ordered the half rack with mac and cheese and onion rings. The Mac and cheese and cornbread were great! My onion rings were ice cold, and the meats were so bad. My boyfriend ordered a sampler. After a day of picking apples, we decided to get an early dinner. I'm so glad we found this restaurant! Our server was so friendly and very attentive and welcoming. We started off with brisket nachos and pulled pork egg rolls. Both were delicious! I had the brisket French dip with fries. The fries were done right - crispy on the outside and tender in the middle. Hubby had the smoked cheesesteak and he loved it. He also thoroughly enjoyed his side of coleslaw. I highly recommend the apple pie wontons for dessert. They were heavenly. Dined here a few days ago. The decor inside was nice and the place is much bigger inside than how it looks from the outside. We were seated very quickly. I ordered the smoked salmon with baked potatoe cornbread and cole slaw. My companion had a burger with fries. I was told the burger was good as were the fries. The salmon was cooked good, the cornbread was ok the cole slaw was terrible and the baked potato was ok (it's just a baked potato). The cole slaw: It tasted like it had way too much vinegar or was way past its due date. It looked good and home made and I wanted to like it but I could not eat more than two bites. I did mention it to the waitress and was offered a different side dish but I was not very hungry and just wanted to let the kitchen know. The waitress did tell me she has heard that from other patrons as well. I hope the kitchen gets the message. As I mentioned, the rest of my meal was decent. I haven't been here in a while and was hankering for some of their food. As usual, I over ordered and everything was delicious and fantastically done. I did notice a slight change in the chicken since the last visit, but it was even better than before. My server was also the manager, Rachel, and she maintained a sharp lookout on me for anything I might need. She was very personable, friendly, efficient and customer oriented. Since it wasn't too busy, she kept checking and making sure no one else needed anything, and we had some time to chat. Very interesting person. First time at this location in Warwick, NY. The other restaurant we visited last year is located in Augusta, NJ. The food at both establishments is really good and the portions are generous. I think the menu's at both places are the same and there's plenty to choose from. The Brisket in the Smoked Cheesesteak sandwich was tender and seasoned perfectly. The pulled pork egg roll appetizer was moist and tender and the sauces really kick up the flavors, the #4 sweet & spicy had the perfect amount of heat but not enough to over power the tastebuds. My wife enjoyed her Brisket Mac & Cheese. I definitely need to come back to sample the ribs. read more

Typical Cisco fries. Average. Not fresh cut. Nothing memorable. The "Coke" I ordered was watered down Pepsi. Not Coke. And as an added bonus, the "Coke" was $5.00 for a glass. Cornbread tasted like bland frozen reheated cornbread. If my first visit here was any indication of how the rest of the food is, then that's really bad news. Maybe I should have taken notice that there was only one other table occupied here with 2 people at 12:30 in the afternoon on Thursday. Not a good sign. I never leave reviews, but .. Favorite place for my boyfriend and I to go to for a great meal. Service is always great, owners are amazing. The bartender is so sweet & we love her; very personable! When you walk in, you're always greeted with a smile and a tin of popcorn for your table without a wait I've never had a problem with the food, portions are large and taste great. Apps are a must to get, but you will bring home left overs of your dinner. This is the only restaurant I will actually eat left overs from. Desserts are a must to bring home if you're not too full (funnel fries and banana pudding are our favorites). They have trivia night on Wednesdays, live band on Fridays! Great place for a date, family gathering, or group of friends! Large booths and tables available. You Will NEVER feel crowded and uncomfortable at this place as it is very spacious on the inside. We just used Double S Smokehouse of Warwick NY to cater the food for our son's going into the Airforce party. We have never eaten there nor tried their food before. I must say, we were a bit skeptical when we were told we had to place the catering order through a woman in Texas. Now, that said, we took a chance and boy are we glad we did! WOW! Everything was phenomenal! The brisket was delicious and tender. The ribs were falling off the bone. The Mac n cheese...... we probably should have had two full trays . Everyone raved about the food! In fact, one of our guests,a OC Sheriff mentioned how they love this place. We can't recommend this place enough! If you are having a party and want some different options as well as some of the party standards this is the place. I would give it 4 out of 5 stars. The only thing preventing the 5th star and not their fault, they are short staffed and could not deliver the food, we had to pick it up. The Garlic mashed potatoes had too much undercooked garlic. The cheese curds were overdone, and the cornbread technically resembled cornbread but not convincingly. Poorly prepared food. Lights were so low (4:40 PM) that we all had to share a flashlight to read the menu, additionally, the print on the menu was so small it required reading glasses. The BBQ spareribs were tender and fell off the bone. Sadly, they were falling off the bone in the way passengers fall off a sinking ship. There was no taste, no discernable seasoning, no flavor, and they weren't hot. The various plastic containers of 'sauce' were no help. Barbeque sauce in this case would've needed to be intravenous. Any supermarket brand is better. The same is true for the Mac n' Cheese side dish. The beer was in a bottle, however, so it was not guilty of anything. It was cold and was released on its Own Recognizance. If poured into a tired car battery, the undrinkable Decaf Cappucino would undoubtedly start almost any old car on even the coldest day. The silverware was small, thin, and cheap, The chairs were uncomfortable. Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, we walk into this one. The parking lot was virtually empty. That should've tipped us off. SERVICE: The service was indifferent and negligent, the prices were high, though not exorbitant. We arrived with a reservation, but there was a protracted wait at the vacant "Wait here to be seated" sign while the single, earnest Greeter/Maitre'd/Hostess/Receptionist/Barmaid/Reservationist/ waitress finished taking an order from one of the two occupied tables. The two customers at the bar grunted in her direction to let her know actual customers were waiting at the desk. She was a very sweet but inept person. The surreal, gloomy aura of the place was like a Quentin Tarantino movie set. The murder scene. The rough-hewn lumber and sparse decor would be appropriate for the Kenosha Polish-American Steelworkers After-Hours Club. AMBIANCE: Dark and ugly. Just referring to the atmosphere as an "ambiance" is like attributing the stench of a Chicago slaughterhouse to "An air of cultural prerogatives."  You're not going to find much Haute Cuisine in New York's Hudson Valley, but you can find equally bland, ill-prepared, uninteresting food awkwardly and belatedly served for a helluva lot less money. SUMMARY: They really should hire a professional chef. New management might help. Their prices must represent the knowledge that they won't be in business for very long and should make hay while the sun shines. All the items have the slightest twist to make the dishes a bit more interesting. The fried pickles were the best we've ever had. The coating was crunchy and the dip was a spicy ranch. I had a cup of the shrimp corn chowder, again the best I've ever had. Small pieces of potato, veggies and corn. Not too much shrimp and not too thick. Perfect! My son had the honey hot chicken sandwich, he loved it. My husband had the pulled pork platter and I had the Dominican Way. We loved the different bottles of sauces on the table. Especially since we favor Eastern Carolina style which can be hard to find in the North. Simply said the food was excellent, the service was superb and the atmosphere was a cool county vibe. It's hard to get good BBQ around here and I went in with the highest of expectations, but almost everything was disappointing. On the plus side, the staff is nice and both the cornbread and sweet potatoes are fine, although un-memorable and maybe store-bought. The meat, on the other hand, was rough. Ribs are smaller than normal, and they have a *very* thick coating of rub on the surface that tastes of a single raw spice that is difficult to place (cumin? paprika? dunno). They're tender, but taste unpleasant and are a little dry. The ribs desperately need a sauce to mitigate the caked-on rub, but the sauces provided aren't great. Brisket was less dry, but also less tender and didn't have much flavor at all. It tasted like kitchen BBQ, not smokehouse BBQ. Pulled pork was the worst of the bunch - both dry and tasteless. Mac and cheese was fusilli, which was a nice choice, but the cheese sauce was gritty and unpleasant. I'd like nothing more than to give a good review, but the food was disappointing and overpriced. There was nothing "smokehouse" about it. There's a much better option down the road that quietly puts out much better BBQ. read more

It says it feeds 4 but it's really just barely enough, they fill you with sub par sides (the Mac and cheese was terrible, though the Cole slaw was great) brisket was tough, pulled chicken looked like scraps, pulled pork dry, ribs we tough. What a great find for lunch in Warwick. I had the triple sliders on pretzel buns with onion rings. The onion rings were crisp and light but the batter had a flavor I didn't love. My husband had a delicious gluten free sandwich with coleslaw. On the table is a rack with 4 different bbq sauces to try. The sweet tea was a good choice as well.
