Great experience tonight. Sat on the patio nice breeze. Very comfortable. Friendly staff. Good food. Daughter had a salad and added grouper. Several of us had a basket with fries and coleslaw. Trigger fish and grouper- you can get it grilled blackened or fried. Plenty of parking tonight. Not very busy. Full bar. Outstanding views. 5/5. Outstanding

Dog Rose Lager is the local beer. Parking lot doesn't have a place to park tonight had to park at entrance of the road just before you pass through the gate on the right. This place gets people served quickly, so don't worry if you think that you have to wait in line to find a table people are coming and going all the time so it'll work out. You need to get your own cutlery and napkins before you go to your table. They're gonna be on your left and easy to overlook. The food is brought to your table, but there is no table service after that. We had a great visit with the manager who came over to our table to make sure everything was going great. We love coming here because food is always consistent and delicious. This place is super popular because the food is great and a fair price plus beautiful views of the intercoastal. They play great music like yacht rock, reggae, etc. This is a great place for kids because there is nothing fussy about it and you're out on the back porch.

Back again for another great meal. Reasonably priced, fresh seafood and drinks on the water in st Augustine with dockage and parking Had the blackened mahi with collard greens and a couple hazies. Everything was perfect. Service was spot on. We came by boat which made it even more fun. Great views of the waterway.

The other reviews we had seen made this appear like it wasn't worth the drive , but boy was it . Seated right in the waterfront marsh marina area the patio had lovely breezes on the outside deck. The drinks were fruity and lots to choose from and the seating was easy to find .First choice was the fresh oysters , w 10.00 for the tray compared to upwards or 30.00 in old village. And so much to choose from but we came for the lobster roll. We were seeking out Main style w mayo but they serve it Connecticut style which is w butter. We also had clam strips, and grouper bites .it was so much food to choose from we had to stop where we were at but wanted so much more. I the lobster was fantastic, soft, sweet and the right texture . I choose some extra cocktail sauce for flavor but given the simplicity of it , not fishy and very fresh tasting . The clams were perfect , soft, tender and breading stayed on . The oysters I heard were amazing ( I can't eat due to allergies) but they looked Devine. I head they were fresh and clean tasking, not chewy and a hint of brine... so I was pleasantly please that despite the review I realized the preparation on a lobster roll can make people feel disappointed. There is a taste difference between the two local style but the freshness was there and the drinks looked good to, we just had a drive ahead of us

One of the best crab bisque I have had in a very long time. Also enjoyed the backend grouper and shrimp with those yummy waffle fries. Definitely enjoyed the food and the view. That bisque will have me coming back soon.

My mom had done her research before our trip and insisted we find a good seafood spot since you really can't go to Florida and not get fresh seafood. Grouper Shack was at the top of her list because the prices weren't too bad. We went on a Thursday around 5 and had to sit outside since the inside was already packed, bar included. Worth noting if you're planning to go around dinner time. Also worth noting that it's an order at the counter situation, not a traditional sit-down restaurant like we were expecting. Not a complaint at all, just something to know going in. Now let's talk about the prices because $10 cocktails feel like a gift right now when we're so used to paying $14 and up everywhere else. Pretty much everything on the menu was reasonably priced, and you get a solid amount of food for what you pay. I got the grilled mahi mahi, my mom got the grilled grouper, and my brother went with the fried cod. The mahi mahi was nicely oiled and seasoned and cooked well. It was actually my first time trying it and I was not disappointed. Everyone else was happy with their food too. The coleslaw was creamy and tasty, though I could've easily eaten twice as much of it. And the waffle fries honestly might have been the highlight of the meal. Perfectly salted and just slightly undercooked. If there's one thing about me, I love a soft fry. After we finished eating we spotted fried gator tail on the menu and had to order it to go. I'm not sure what I was expecting but it came out as a bunch of little breaded balls of piping hot gator meat with the breading barely hanging on. They tasted good, but once you bit into the meat it had a pretty rubbery texture. Maybe that's just how gator is, so I won't hold it against them. For the price and the quality, you really can't complain much. A great spot to hit if you want fresh seafood without feeling like you broke the bank.

Beautiful outdoor seating tucked away in a quiet marina -- such a cool hidden spot. The seafood is incredibly fresh, and both the triggerfish and calamari were outstanding. Great dockside drinks too; the Miami Vice and piña coladas hit the spot. A perfect laid‑back St. Augustine find. The Ponte Vedra location has a dedicated gluten free fryer while the St Augustine restaurant does not.

We had oysters and conch fritters and both were 10/10. The vibe is chill with a nice view of the river and marshland. We will definitely come back!

Great food moderately priced. The fish was really fresh and cooked perfectly. The collard greens were great but the cold slaw was so so. Before you got the food, they asked for payment and tip-up to 30 percent. Then, when you got your hot food and forgot the utensils, the "waiter" didn't offer you to get them for you. We had to fetch our own leaving our food to get cold. Tip??.

Great seafood and right on the water in beautiful Saint Augustine. Casual and fun atmosphere. Started with the smoked fish dip and Peel & Eat shrimp. All were so good! Large and local shrimp. Oysters on the half shell and Grouper basket were all items I would definitely order again. Highly recommend!

I love this place! This counter service restaurant is great. There is a beautiful outdoor patio that's located on the water's edge. An Inside eating area for those that want to enjoy view but not the outdoors. The food was wonderful. Yummy smoked fish dip, scrumptious lightly breaded fried shrimp, and creamy hot lobster bisque was on our table. I'm looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.

There was a live band playing cover songs and that was super fun listening to. There is a big fire pit in the middle, and the outdoor area is spacious. From bow to stern (nautical theme here) this was just a bad experience across the board! Our waiter had zero personality and acted as if he really didn't want to be there, the food was bad, and the cost was far more than the value provided. A rainy Sunday night and not very crowded - maybe 4 - 5 tables, but somehow our food managed to get lost in the kitchen and we waited way too long for food that was (in my case) completely inedible. My wife ordered the fresh catch halibut dinner grilled, and I ordered a blackened grouper sandwich. Both entrees were heavily salted; my wife tried to wipe the seasoning off her filet, which was at least decent sized. My sandwich contained the thinnest, saltiest piece of fish I'd ever been served, and I only managed a couple bites before giving up. My wife's filet wasn't fully cooked, and since we weren't eating sushi-grade fish, my wife was concerned about that. When she told our waiter he barely glanced at her plate and his response was "That's cooked. Some people are just finicky about the texture." "Finicky??" Are you sh**ing me?? How about saying "I'm sorry, would you like me to have it cooked more?" She also pointed at my sandwich and said that it was so salty I couldn't eat it, and all he said was "I'll be back." At least he didn't tell me I was being "finicky". The manager came over shortly after and explained that our server told him we weren't pleased with our meal. My wife explained the issues and his response "Too salty? I know who that is. One of our guys over-salts a lot. I'll talk to him." He then apologized and offered to get us something else, but I declined and said I was done. He vaguely pointed at our food and said he would "discount it". While we waited for the bill my wife took what was left of her fish to the house cat sitting on the patio, and the cat wouldn't even eat it! I'm sorry Mr manager, but if you know that one of your employees has issues with preparing food correctly... either educate them or replace them! Don't apologize and admit you're aware of bad food coming out of your kitchen! And then the topper - our bill came and a whopping $13.50 was discounted from almost $90! He didn't even take off the full cost of my sandwich which was still sitting on my plate! We usually try to give benefit of the doubt to restaurants, but this experience was bad enough that we both agreed we will NOT return. This is a prime example of why zero stars should be allowed!

Now that we've officially moved here, we've been back about three more times, and somehow I love it more every time. If you enjoy seafood and New Orleans-style food, this is definitely a place to put on your St. Augustine list! The service has always been good, the drinks are great, and yes, there's usually a wait, but honestly, it goes by pretty quickly. We typically grab a drink and hang outside while we wait for our buzzer to go off, which makes the wait feel much more enjoyable. I have a few favorites here that I find myself coming back to: Redfish Alexandria, absolutely delicious and one of my favorites. Andouille Crusted Grouper , another standout if you're looking for something flavorful and seafood-focused. My first choice now that the low country pasta isn't available Crab Cakes, always a good choice for appetizer. Low Country Pasta, this was a special during their Mardi Gras menu, and I was SO SAD to find out it wasn't a regular menu item because I would order this all the time! My first choice And please save room for dessert because the fried Oreos are a MUST-TRY! For drinks, you really can't go wrong, we've had a few of their signature drinks, but the Cucumber Martini was one of my favorites. Refreshing, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering! The restrooms are conveniently located both upstairs and downstairs. Parking in this part of St. Augustine can be a little difficult, but that's pretty typical for the area and definitely wouldn't stop me from coming here. Overall, Harry's has become one of those places we're happy to keep coming back to. Great food, fun atmosphere, good drinks, and plenty of New Orleans-inspired seafood dishes to choose from.
