It was seamless and "almost" right on the projected time frames. Through the process they kept me up to date and were available for a few questions I had along the way. The installation crew came out and they were EVEN better than the customer service and sales rep. Eduardo Naranjo needs a promotion and a raise. The man was so humble, genuine and all around a great guy. He dealt with my kids and many dogs with no fear lol. He was professional and kept me apprised of everything the crew was doing. At then end of the installation I was sad to see the man and his team go because they were so personable and efficient. The install of my panels and batteries looks way way better than I could have imagined. I already had existing solar that I liked. But this new system blows it out the water. Anyway. Review Update: After…read moremy initial review, Eric (the sales rep) and Matt (the owner) of Sunline personally reached out to me and was apologetic about the situation. They sent Travis out promptly, who is their electrician where he found that the issue was resolved by replacing a faulty 40-amp breaker that was intermittently providing the necessary voltage, even though measurements initially appear correct. While the breaker issue caused real inconvenience and unexpected costs on my end, the owner was responsive and showed willingness to smooth things over to work toward a resolution. I also want to highlight that the panel upgrade and solar/battery installation itself was clean and well done. The workmanship that Eddie, Manny, Christian and Jamie performed had overall met my expectations, and once the issue was identified, Sunline did step in to correct it. No project is perfect, but how a company responds when problems arise matters a lot. In this case, Sunline's owner and Eric was engaged, responsive, and made a sincere effort to make things right. As an engineer, and after witnessing the symptoms and corrective actions firsthand, I believe the breaker issue was likely a manufacturing defect, and it was unfortunate that it occurred during the holidays. That said, based on how Sunline handled the situation, the overall quality of their work, and the value they offer, I would recommend them and plan to continue using them for future needs.

Getting solar with this company was one of the worst decisions of my life. Not that they are a…read morecompany anymore. But I just want to add my story. After being transferred to 4 or 5 different point people and a YEAR after I paid my first $7500 installment and they had sat on that money interest free for one year, I pushed VERY VERY hard to get them to start installing the solar. By that point they had forgotten that I had paid for the system and was not renting it.... I'm convinced that if I hadn't pushed extraordinarily hard, that I would have never got my solar. They also lost all the preliminary work they had done and had pics from someone else's house thinking it was mine. The roofers they picked included one person who was literally a child. They did such a terrible job that I got $11k of damages in the first precipitation. TWO leak points. One on the chimney and one on the swamp cooler. I lost a whole month of work and Brett won't give me the time of day. Now i'm trying to get my money back. While the roofers were sub-contractors, Enlighten Solar workers inspected their work and still chose to put the panels up. They looked past all the terrible work, including two spots where they just tacked tiles to rotted wood underneath. Rows of shingles went off in weird angles and they tried to skimp on materials by not overlapping the shingles properly. There was no flashing at all around the chimney. But the Enlighten ppl did their work. They cut air intake lines below what code allows to fit panels without asking me. Then the first precipitation, there is a river running in my walls. Feb 2025, the all the panels come down, all the roof redone, and i had interior crews working on my place and spreading particles of rat droppings literally everywhere. It is August i'm fighting not to be ghosted and still get my money back ($14k). I am SO tired of dealing with this company. This was supposed to be done in 2023. I would not be shocked if i'm still dealing with this in 2026. I know there were some really sad circumstances involving the company. But I think there were also critical issues of mis-management that are just not okay in any circumstance. I observed just unreal levels of lack of coordination. It was a true shit show from start to finish. One thing is I was told that my situation was the first time they deal with anything like this (Brett Jarman said)... Turns out, i've met some other people now who had the same bad experience and outcome as me. I see the similarities. The fact that they take more money for deposit than legally allowed. They take forever and sit on your money. They do sub-par work and ask for payment promptly upon completion of work. When things go wrong, they ghost you and try to create ways to delay addressing the issue which they NEVER intend to actually solve. Please refer to Stacey's review ($200k of damages) and other stories, seems like my situation was NOT unique. This makes me call into question ALL of the "truths" that I had in my head. I wonder how many of the excuses were straight up lies. I really think that this group of individuals ride the line between legit business and a scam. There seems to be enough people who have gotten screwed here. Some of us are starting to collaborate. Feel free to join the party. I'm considering a class action lawsuit, so feel free to reach out to me other people who left terrible reviews and other people who got screwed over by this company.

Solar Optimum EXCEEDED my expectations in every way. They have been awesome! The design team really got it right. They got through permitting efficiently. The install team took pride in their work, and it shows. And once installed getting it turned on with the SDG&E was relatively quick. Everyone was extremely professional and patient as I asked a million questions. Their price was more than fair as I found some places as much as 50% more, for the same products. Check around on same equipment to feel comfortable with pricing, but know that when it comes to design, permitting and quality install, Solar Optimum gets it right. All for what I found to be the best price. I never expected to be this satisfied with the process, and they fully deserve a "*****" rating. Well done.

First, they drilled a hole from the outside through the inside when they were installing our electric panel. Then we noticed in our attic that all of the rafters from the ridge board were all damaged. When we brought this to there attention they tried to blame us for it. We provided all the photo proof of the before and after damage and they still refused to pay for the damage. We ended up getting a lawyer and when we wrote out a demand letter the company completely ignored the demand and we have not heard from them since. They have caused over $75,000 worth of damage to our home that all will need to be replaced entirely to ensure the roof stays sturdy.

We had an issue with our Thor RV power awning repeatedly blowing fuses. I've had it to the dealer 3…read moretimes to get troubleshot and fixed; every time the issue came back. The latest time was at San Clemente, after we had fully extended the awning, which left me with the option of getting up on a ladder and manually retracting it. I noticed Scout RV's (Tyler) truck at our campground, and called to see if he could come take a look. Tyler went through the troubleshooting steps, tested the motor, checked continuity, and finally after crawling around underneath found the wires to the awning laying on top of the driveshaft, where they had chafed through and shorted (!) Three trips to the dealer, never fixed, once they even ran our generator for forty hours and burned 3/4 of a tank of our gas but never really fixed our awning. I was more than happy to pay Tyler's hourly rate to finally, properly troubleshoot the problem...he's a good guy. Professional, efficient, and trustworthy. He'll be our go-to from now on!
