I had solar installed about 18 months ago right before the changes in rates. Peak Power was excellent throughout. Install and process was quick efficient and they were on top of everything. I've waited 18 months to post a review but could have given them 5 stars right from the start. Though after 18 months it has been great, they checked in to make sure everything was going well but the truest example of their service was this last week. I noticed the gateway was offline and shot them an email, the were quick to get in touch and in less than 24hrs had come by the house and had a warranty claim in on the controller. It was no issue of theirs but they took care of me as though they were still trying to earn my business. *** Expert electrical engineers, not slick sales people *** After pricing and interviewing several solar companies which came highly recommended from neighbors, we selected Peak Power for our January, 2021 installation. While the total cost and price/kW were relatively close for the competing firms, ultimately Peak Power did a better job explaining the solution, technology, options and implications more thoroughly and clearly. The difference was we weren't interfacing with a semi-knowledgable salesperson; we were dealing with an electrical engineer-led resource and it showed. They patiently addressed all our questions, and laid out a clear and quick timeline for installation, which they also executed flawlessly. No weeks-long delays, frustrating availability issues, half-done job, or trashed work area, etc. They handled all design, permitting, etc. and also replaced any cracked or broken roofing tiles at completion. Seamless is an understatement. They even paid out the referral bonus to the neighbor we identified as referring us without prodding (I checked). Do not purchase solar from Peak Power. This company does not stand behind the solar panels they install. I have three panels that need to be replaced after 2 years. These panels were purchased by Peak Power from a company called Suniva that went out of business last year. Peak Power has advised me that they are not responsible for the bad panels. I HAVE TO PURCHASE THE NEW PANELS. Peak Power told me they have had to replace several of these panels over the last year. So if you have solar from Peak Power you may experience the same problem. My system costs over $30,000.00 with NO WARRANTY. Read the fine print in the contract. This was never explained by the owner when we discussed warranty - I was told I had a 25 year warranty - NOT TRUE. read more

I don't write many reviews as you can see, but I wanted to make it a point to let everyone know this company has my full confidence and gratitude. My wife and I met with some other Solar Vendors prior to Peak Power and we were immediately impressed by Matt's knowledge, presentation aids and patience with our questions. The bids we looked at before him were noticeably generic, convoluted and had basic or minimal warranties. The number one thing we looked at was the purchase option and what we could do. I'm a big numbers type of person who looks at the percentages, returns, products offered and most importantly the warranties. Peak Power's bid did not come in at the lowest, but in terms of value and return on investment they did not disappoint. The 25 year warranty is the best in the industry and the product he offered was at the top of its class with quality, output and reliability. After I did my own research and had a very thorough sit down with Matt, my wife and I were truly convinced that Peak Power was the only option for my family. Matt took the time to look at all the details we needed and explained every step from start to finish. He's a family man at heart and is a big believer in what he's doing with his projects. He answered all my calls and when he couldn't talk at that moment he later called me back, no games and no bs. Matt has a great reputation here in Tustin. My next door neighbor's daughter referred me and one of the Dad's on my son's baseball team is currently in a project with Matt. Both like Matt's business mindset and commitment. After doing a couple months of homework on the ins and outside of solar, I sat down with Mike from Peak Power, and from there, the decision was easy. Mike answered all of my questions, cleared up some confusion and worked out a lan that fit for my family, my home, and my budget. There was no pressure and no BS, which I had detected with several others in the solar game. I had spoken to 5 other companies, and actually threw one guy out of my house. We have had our solar system for a few years now without issues or complaints. These guys did a good job installing the system and designing it to look the best on our roof. Recently our modem that reports our energy created so that we received a monthly report and online access of our energy generation versus use stop transmitting. Peak power was our original solar system installer from 7 years ago. We've been trouble free for that 7 years, until recently, we started having some issues.
