    Yankee Clipper
    David H.

My brother and his family from NJ were visiting for the week and I wanted to take him for New York Style deli food. We heard they opened this up on Sheridan Park recently. Their hours showed 12-7 online, but when we called, we learned they were open at 11 which worked best for us. There was a sign when we first arrived mentioning the possible delays of service based on staffing. We were seated right away for 6 of us. I ordered the New York Reuben which was stuffed with both corned beef and pastrami. I was stuffed after that and didn't bother with dinner. My brother ordered the Yankee Clipper which would remind most from the NY area of a Sloppy Joe. It wasn't exactly Katz's, Kartzmanns or Carnegie Deli, but for Bluffton it was almost as good. My wife had the matzo ball soup just to see how it measured. She mentioned the flavor was good. A bit light on salt. The mazto balls were a bit firm. The cole slaw was excellent. They do have a bar area and have good craft beers on draft. Our server was new, but did a great job. Overall it's a bit pricey, but worth it.

Stopped by for a quick lunch and enjoyed a sandwich on their outside seating! Staff is friendly and quick! Large menu with lots of options for sandwiches! Definitely a great place to stop for a casual lunch in Bluffton.

Great deli food with extensive menu of choices. They make their own brisket--and it was delicious.

Food quality is slipping. Corned beef dry. Potato salad dry and too spicy. Cole slaw watery.

***WARNING*** DO NOT DINE IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE NICKLED AND…read moreDIME On 30 January 2026, I dined-in as a first-time patron at this establishment. I ordered Scarlet Knight, Fried Mushrooms and French Dip, which overall was good. The problem occurred when I reviewed my invoice and I notice a "Convenience Fee Convenience" of $1.30 unbeknownst me. I informed the waitress that I paying with a debit card versus a credit card so the charge should me removed. The waitress informed the manager in the back and he stated, "that's how we've done and we can't remove the fee. I educated the waitress/manager by law, it's illegal to (1) charge a patron the fee that are using a debit card, (2) the service fee was NOT disclosed or brief to me prior to service and (3) the restaurant doesn't have any signs or language indicating that all patrons will be charged a "convenience fee". The manager was very dismissive and "matter of factly" towards my grievance. This grievance is not solely for me but to protect and advocate for ALL patrons that opt to dine at the establishment. SOLUTION: 1. Create a sign regarding a, "Auto Convenience Fee Charge for ALL Credit Cards" 2. Place a label on ALL menus so patron understand the hidden charge prior to service being render. In turn, the patron have the option to proceed, leave the establish or visit the nearest ATM for cash. 3. Brief all employees to provide a disclaimer to all patrons so their options or rights are taken away. I will be reporting the company to BBB for illegal business practice for forcing patrons to pay a fee that are not required for debit cardholders link: www.verabank.com Search: Convenience Fee

He ate all of them. Mom got the extra crispy chicken tenders and thought they were a bit dry, but I think it was more the crispy outside, not the chicken itself. Husband got boneless wings and was very happy with them. I am on a health journey and I sincerely appreciate that the menu has calories listed for the items, so I can make good choices. It was mind-boggling to see some the calorie counts for many of the food items. I ordered the grill chicken sandwich and Dasha, our server, was able to easily modify it to exactly how I wanted. Dasha did an excellent job working with my elderly father who is vision and audio impaired. She was very patient with him and that is often times difficult to find in servers who typically just want to take the orders and move on to the next table. She was so kind to both of my parents. The restaurant was loud, but it's a sports bar atmosphere, so that was to be expected. It was hard for my dad, being audio impaired, but once we explained it was a sports bar he understood. We will return there when he wants more wings.

For diet drinks, only Diet Pepsi. This week they ran out of many beers because their beer delivery didn't show up. They have a great variety of wing sauces and dry rubs. They mix and match well. If you want all flats or drums, costs $1 extra. Lots of TV's. Bathroom was very clean. Easy parking.
