Great place to grab coffee and catch up on work. Great Cold Brew. Decent amount of seating, to include some higher tables perfect for standing if you're like me. Lots of drink options, but not a lot of baked goods. I haven't been impressed with the pastry options here and not sure if they're the freshest. Located in a large shopping center, so parking shouldn't be an issue.

Decaf mocha with oat milk and lavender.

The staff is always welcoming and friendly even when they're slammed. While this is my favorite drink their seasonal and iced ones are just as delicious! They've got alternative dairy options and some yummy breakfast options. The space itself isn't too loud. There are often plenty of people working or studying. I've only hung out outside with friends before but each time it's been a wonderful experience.

Came in for coffee and a snack one weekday and ordered an Americano, which was great. Unfortunately, they didn't have any pastries or anything like that to go with it when I placed my order. But by the time I left, their pastry delivery came. Overall... Nothing exciting.

Got coffee here, decent amount of seating both indoor and outdoor. I just got black coffee and it is $3 for a medium self serve, a little pricier than some places but it's in a nicer area so understandable. Clientele were mostly students and young professionals and it was quiet and nice.

A cool place to get a coffee and study! This is a great place that might go overlooked because of location in the corner of stonefield mall. As mentioned above, Grit Stonefield is the Stonefield Mall branch of Grit Coffee. It is located a little ways past from Stonefield Regal next the movie theater parking lot entrance on the side closer to Trader Joes. Inside the coffee shop, you will notice a few things: a large standing desk with chairs, smaller desks arranged in the seating area and a coffee bar. This is basically perfect for studying (the only problem I can think of is a shortage of power outlets). Now talking about coffee specifically, Grit serves a decent cup of Joe, but you aren't likely to find some of the longer, more interestingly named drinks like commercial chain coffee places (IE Starbucks). Despite that, the coffee served is of great quality.

Honestly, Pretty Great! There's nothing wrong with this place per se, but while I loved the taste and variation of the coffee here, it's just GREAT. The servers are helpful and phenomenal. Lots of shared laughs at the counter! The space is quiet. There were hardly any people there in the morning, so I get the idea that this place isn't usually packed very often. That said, I can't think of any better place to get coffee in Stonefield, so try this place!

The second is Kindness Cafe + Play. I've been a loyal patron for ~4 days. I learned about KC+P about 2 weeks ago when I ran across pictures of employees posing with bottles of Mountain Culture Kombucha; I made a mental note to try KC+P ASAP. My first visit was 4 days ago. Unfortunately, I arrived near closing time (noon) so I had limited time to scope out and enjoy their fare. I requested a Blueberry Bar from Found.Market (basically Blueberry Cake), Grit Coffee, Water. I got briefly acquainted with the founder, Katie, and was impressed with her devotion and how it is expressed and executed at KC+P. I asked about Mountain Culture Kombucha, and was told they were temporarily out, but would be getting a shipment soon. Good enough for me. The Blueberry Bar was delish, and the Grit Coffee made an excellent pairing. On each dining table was a small sign advertising a Fritatta for $5. Mmmm. Next time. I told Katie I'd return Friday. I returned Friday. Arrived about 9am. Ordered the Fritatta, Coffee, and Mountain Culture Kombucha. I settled down at a largish table, booted my computer, and surfed, checking my upcoming appointment at UVA Medical Center. A server brought my food in about 3 minutes. Note that KC+P has touchless serving. I slowly savored the Fritatta. Excellent. I would call it a Personal Quiche, but what's in a name? A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. And sipped on my Mountain Culture Kombucha / The Ginger. Always good. The dining area comprises a few circular tables and large sofas, all spaced well apart. Very good Grit Coffee. Very good Kombucha. Very good snacks. Über cheerful staff. While the parking lot is quite large, I have yet to snag a space near the entrance. The ladies' room is very clean, as is the rest of the building. I look forward to returning. Frequently. KC+P is relatively new, but is a wonderful asset to the community. It is exactly what one would expect in a beautiful city like Charlottesville. "All people have values and gifts to share." Katie Kishore

I saw online that they did empanadas and coffee (what could be better?) and we knew we had to visit. We live in Indianapolis and visit Che Chori often for empanadas, so we wanted to try Cumbre's breakfast options. I got the sweet corn + cheese, my husband got the ham + cheese, and we each got a breakfast bacon + eggs. I loved them both equally, but if I really had to choose one over the other, then I would say the sweet corn + cheese was my favorite because I love anything corn. They were the perfect temperature to bite into, we didn't have any trying to ooze out everywhere, and they were so flavorful! I also grabbed us each a Dulce de leche pastry and I thought it was the perfect balance for being a treat while not being overly sweet. My husband said he thought it was very sweet, but I thought that the pastry part was not sweet at all, so the dulce de leche filling in the middle balanced it out nicely. I also ordered a matcha latte and got a caramel latte for my husband. The 2 men on staff were very friendly and the patio was fairly busy when we stopped in. We opted to eat in the car on our way to the park so we could get to our hike faster, but I would love to stop here again and sit outside in the sun should we ever be back in Charlottesville.

I needed to find somewhere near my dog's daycare that I could grab a coffee and go straight to work after dropping him off, but I generally drink coffee with oat milk, and I don't like to settle for mcdonalds coffee. It's a quiet, inviting space with a small, shared parking lot, and it seems like it would be a nice place to dine in as well as take things to go. They had no qualms with using my personal ceramic cup, and their Americano with oat milk is fantastic (they also use Oatly, which is my favorite brand). I peeked at the food menu and the bakery case, and everything looked SO good. I will be back for both coffee and that bacon cheese croissant soon! Reunion's pastries are good, though I wish they had more French-inspired things like pain au chocolat, croissants, or even soft cinnamon rolls, but I feel they excel more at the breads side of baking. I got a mini sourdough loaf once and it was excellent! Service is always friendly and happy, and the shop itself is cute, but there isn't much space inside. The sips I had while it was still warm was pretty juicy and sweet, but I really didn't like the notes once it cooled down (about 20 minutes later), which tasted sour and off-putting.
