So blessed to have found a breakfast spot for vegans in Charlottesville! It's not an exclusively vegan spot but they have plenty of thoughtful vegan options. I got a "build your own" paffle breakfast sandwich with a tofu scramble and a s'mores latte. The whipped cream and marshmallow were vegan too! I'd be sure to request that though because I'm unsure if it comes naturally that way. The gal helping me knew I was vegan from our conversation so she made it that way for me. Staff were very kind and helpful in answering all of my "is this vegan" questions. Love that this place also proudly promotes diversity and inclusion. Walking distance from more shops, cafes, theaters and more. It's a local must try if you are in the area!

I love this place. I got Holiday Special which had ham, Brie, cranberry orange jelly, and arugula. It was messy but awesome. The hash browns were crispy and yummy. It is definitely worth a visit.

Always love this place! Pastries and waffles does ravel the cronut! The options of paffle sandwiches are just enough. Cold brews there are nice. Service is your neighborhood coffee shop so lovely. Ambience is bit neutral for me. Decor is actually cool but somehow the seating area feels a bit bland. A place I will go back all the time. Paffle: canola cream + banana, definitely a satisfying dessert, just so good. Canonla cream is right level of heaviness so not feeling too much. Almost like tiramisu Paffle: breakfast, this is a classic, just a regular egg and sausage on great pastries. Cannot resist.

Amazing food. Got and assortment of the waffle sandwiches ranging from sweet to savory, all were amazing. One caution, ask for napkins as they are messy especially if eating on the go, Great find in Charlottesville!

I discovered this place after leaving the Charlottesville Farmer's Market. There is plenty of parking near the restaurant. The winner for me and my group of friends with this place is the non-pork options. They even have vegan and gluten-free options. So, we all were able to get something that fit our dietary needs. They also offer a great variety of drinks. They have lattes, espressos, hot chocolate, and tea. They have orange juice, water, and soft drinks. Lastly, they have mimosas. We all enjoyed our breakfast paffle and would go back again!

The bottom line: came back for a second time on a brief spring break--I'm writing this from one of the tables. Super, sweet and savory puff pastry waffles (a new take for me). Fried chicken was on crispy point, the house hot sauce had great zing, and the sweet fillings were balanced by hot black coffee. Counter service was friendly as was the gritty cafeteria ambiance that highlights local art and has a hip rotating soundtrack. Good for kids.

Serendipitously, our company failed in having enough to-go breakfasts this morning at the hotel, so I had to go searching on my way out of town. I'm glad I did though. FOOD: Tasty and an unexpected new-to-me item. The "paffle" is like a puff pastry in waffle shape, and the generous ingredients slammed in between really hit the spot. SERVICE: There is an option to order on the tablet, and then is picked up at the counter. So unobtrusive but they were very friendly and answered a few questions I had. PRICE: Not a steal for breakfast, but not exorbitant in the ridiculous inflationary year of our Lord 2025. One of the breakfast paffles is $11 I think. ATMOSPHERE: Comfy nook of a place. Pretty chill. Overall was a great start to a day of travel. Stop in for a visit, y'all!

I love this place! I visit every time we come to the C'Ville area. The g-free paffles are so delicious. I tend to favor the savory paffles rather than the dessert versions, but you can't go wrong. I've tried making them at home, and they are complicated to make and to eat. LOL

So many options that are gluten free and vegan friendly! Awesome little breakfast spot with limited seating

Huge portion size! Could probably be split between two people. Paffles were unique and yummy but VERY messy so be prepared. We were the only people in line and it took a long time to get our food (I think they were training someone new so maybe not like that all the time).

The fried chicken, cheese grits, hot honey and arugula paffle.

What delicious food! I normally get the fried chicken, cheese grits with hot honey, arugula in a perfectly flaky puff pastry waffle (paffle). I have tried other items on the menu, also superb- but the chicken paffle has a hold on me right now lol

Wow! I've walked by several times and finally stopped in. I was blown away. My paffle was delicious! I did the create your own option and got bacon and sausage with the siracha mayo. The mimosa was the perfect cure to a downtown induced hangover. The gingerbread latte was PERFECTION. It quite literally brought me back to life. I felt ready to tackle the farmers market. The service is ok. Not overly nice but I wonder if that is because you place your own order and there's not a lot of chances for customer interaction. It's definitely pricey but the quality of food makes it worth it. The music was my favorite part. I was back in the club at 9 AM.

Such a cute hole in the wall a block off the downtown walking mall in Charlottesville. The service is easy and straightforward. You can order on the tablet or someone can come up and assist if it's your first time and you have questions like I did. The food was delicious and unique! The fried chicken was GREAT!

The mains came out around 30+ minutes. A bit long imo. Overall food was good, not great. Most disappointing was the tomatoes that lacked flavor. The crab Bennie was pricey and fell flat. My wife and daughter both enjoy their dishes, but eggs were somewhat dry. Coffee was very good. It's a beautiful place with outdoor option. But the food is over hyped and pricey. The service was rushed. I still will go back. 3.5 rounding up for atmosphere.

This restaurant is clearly formerly a small home, given how it has so many small rooms set up like bedrooms, hallways, narrow stairs, and living rooms with six-pane windows. Plenty of mason jars and small flowers spread on each table. The food exceeded my expectations. The coffee and espresso were made by a skilled barista who steams great milk and can tell apart a cortado, latte, and flat white. My sweet potato hash was very tender, salted to perfection, and matched with a good amount of turkey sausage they managed to present piping hot but not dried out. My companion's smoked salmon and poached egg easily split under a fork and coated the plate in delightful yolk. Sensibly prepared. Nothing dry or cold. I found the entrance quite difficult to locate when coming from the Oakhurst Inn, probably a consequence of how the property is laid out with so many cabins and houses on the grounds. If you can manage the maze of stairs and paths, you'll find a charming cafe across from a new housing development. Definitely come here if you want good espresso or an appetizing breakfast.

Squeaky clean hardwood floors all over. Tasteful old furniture. Every staff member I spoke to was polite, courteous, and happy to help. The self serve stations for hot coffee, tea, and cold water was a convenient resource outside of the door. This inn appears to be made of several former homes that were turned into a campus of buildings making the Oakhurst Inn. It's not a single building. The small lawn in the center of the complex has benches, hammock, and a fireplace that seems welcoming and nice, but I wasn't aware of them until I left. There were a few problems during my stay. The inn requires guests to use valet parking which is $40 per night, not disclosed before my stay, and often required a long wait for the valet to return. This makes it hard to retrieve anything you need from your car. The front desk staff are often missing from the front desk - I had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come back and check me in on arrival. Likewise, the bartender is often away from station and you might wait 10 or 30 minutes for the bartender to return. There is no mini fridge or microwave in the hotel rooms. The pool area was extremely dark at night, making it tricky or dangerous to navigate. The pool water was lukewarm, not warm at all. The sauna was out of order and the doorway was small and obscured by chairs. Not accessible and difficult to find. This inn has no gym. The lobby is very small and has no seating for guests or places to hang their luggage, although the nearby lounge has a few leather couches and a fireplace that doesn't appear to be working. Not the most welcoming or convenient. Overall I don't think it's worth the hefty price tag and would stay elsewhere when I return to Charlottesville.
