So this place hosts a multitude of brands hence the name "multiverse". We asked the workers why only Brookeville Chicken and Biscuits and they noted that they took the best items from their catering and other brands and made it a place where people would want to stop in and eat. The place is very clean and seems to be situated in the front of the commercial kitchen which they use to also cook the catering food. I like to sit at the bar as I can see what is being done to my food and how it is cooked. Very impressed with the food at a reasonable cost. We got the "Breakfast platter" and "The Cure". The chicken thigh (yes thighs are cheaper but more tasty) was delicious. I would come again. read more

This place is fantastic!! I have driven by many times and finally went inside and loved the concept and food. There are many different options so a great place to go to if you are with a group who isn't quite sure what they want. I ordered from the Firebox menu and appreciated that a lot of their sauce / dressing is yogurt based (much healthier alternative and arguably better!) the wrap was HUGE, and I ate all of it. It was very fresh and wasn't greasy so it didn't leave you feeling like you were in a food coma. To cap it off the staff was very friendly and accommodating and made sure you were taken care of. Plenty of seating indoors or outdoors and easy free parking! 10/10 recommend and will be adding this into my lunch rotation. read more

Aside from a wide variety of signature chicken sandwiches, they also offer more traditional sandwiches, wraps, salads, wings, breakfast, brunch, lots of craft beers, yummy thick, fresh-out-of-the oven, made-to-order cookies, and specials. So excited to see this restaurant and concept. I knew that if it was anything compared to Chef Keevil's other ventures, it would be a smash. After scouring the menu, I finally decided on the Griddled Scallops. It is not something I would traditionally make at home, so I was going to let Chef Keevil make it for me. Coming into the restaurant, I noticed they were not serving any of Firebox's entrees. That included the scallops. With so many options it took a while to choose. I settled on the Lamb Burger which was amazing. The presentation was beautiful and the taste matched the look. It was plenty juicy with a ton of flavor packed in. Instead of a side, I ordered one of the insanely large cookies which melted in your mouth. I will return, and hopefully can get those scallops I have been craving. Multiverse Kitchens is one of Charlottesville's newest food destinations, but I have a feeling it'll become a community favorite very soon. The concept is simple: six different menus, but one storefront and one kitchen. The description "virtual food hall" truly does it justice. There's something for everyone, with food offerings ranging from tea sandwiches and biscuits to Mediterranean plates. The restaurant itself is clean, modern, and inviting, with plenty of indoor seating. Online ordering is incredibly easy, and can either be done on your phone or at the kiosks at the register. All the food is designed to be takeout friendly, but I recommend eating in because the staff is so kind and attentive. My date and I ordered from Brookville Biscuit and Brunch. I got the quiche and salad (the offering of the day was broccoli cheddar). The portions were excellent for the price, and the quiche was absolutely delicious. The best part was the crust: perfectly flaky and crisp. My date got the hangover cure: I cannot emphasize enough how absolutely massive this sandwich was. The fried chicken was juicy, crispy, and incredibly flavorful. Whatever seasoning/brine it was cooked with was just delicious. The accompanying bacon, egg, maple syrup, and hot sauce just elevated the dish to the next level. The sandwich was a little difficult to eat, given that the biscuit was a little crumbly. However, a good biscuit is a crumbly biscuit, so I would just be prepared to get a little messy! I will definitely be back soon to try some of the other menus Multiverse has to offer, but I have a feeling they will be just as good! read more

I've eaten at Multiverse a few times now, and I can say, without a doubt, they are spearheading something revolutionary here. With the amount of options from their multiple concepts, there's something here for everybody. Tonight I had the cauliflower "steak", with potato salad and a side salad. I would have taken a picture but I was starving and everything just looked so good! Now, I will tell you, that cauliflower steak looks nothing like the real thing, but it's really something to consider trying, as I will likely order that, or one of the oyster mushroom plates for the majority of my future orders. As a pescatarian, it's hard to find places that get you excited about new food, since most are slow to come up in the alternative meat game, but Multiverse is already ahead of you. As for the environment-- their staff is friendly and welcoming, the kitchen is very clean and in plain view, so you can watch everything being prepared for you, and located in McIntyre Plaza, you are free to explore the other shops along the strip.
