Not sure how this place has good ratings. The Blue Moon was sour and I sent it back only to be charged for it; the wings were cooked to death, we went out of our way to ask if the burgers were cooked "true to temperature" and asked for medium rare only to get an unseasoned, well done 8oz burger with the wrong type of cheese and greasy onion rings. The bathroom was filthy with urine all over the floor. The service was lacking and rude. Will definitely not be coming back. read more

This is my second time here and i fucking hated it. Music got louder with every song that played so i was literally screaming to speak. Secondly the waitress delivered our food while talking on the phone and we had to catch the plate because it fell off the table since she acted like she was talking to the president. My cheeseburger quesadilla was so greasy it was dripping down my hand, the pork in the nachos were disgusting, the chicken fingers tasted like fucking tysons chicken nuggets plus they were cold the only thing that was good was the mac n cheese bites (god bless). Could of gotten sick with all the grease, didn't even have a solid server 3 different people came up to us the whole time so check on us and serve us pretty much bullshit. Griff's is a great neighborhood Bar down at the end of New Dorp Lane. I saw something different on their menu that I had to try, Devin's Crazy "Heart Attack" Hot Dogs which is three Hot Dogs stuffed with cheese wrapped in Bacon and than Deep Fried. It was very good, but next trip I'll try one of there burgers. read more

Love this place! The food is delicious. The bartenders are very personable. They are also very attentive.

Came for lunch with friends and had corn beef sandwich which was a good size with slaw and pickle slices. This place has great bar food and you can watch your favorite. Sports teams here. This place used to be the Boardwalk on the Blvd . And we got this great place. Check it out. read more

Me and gf went exploring in Staten island (because why not) and this was the first stop. Yup....i felt like I was in Staten island alright! Big bright sports bar, lots of people, and an extremely friendly bartendet. Like SO friendly! Gave us a shot on the way out...awesome! A very nice bar if you are in the neighborhood, they have old school arcade games, beautiful decoration and a pool table! During the happy hour they sell beer at a price you can't beat, we really liked this place and although we didn't eat, everything that was coming out of the kitchen looked delicious and everybody recommended the steak which when we saw it looked delicious. read more

This place is the perfect low key "dive bar" with good people and great food. This place will surprise you big time with the quality of food. My favorites are the massive buffalo quesadilla, huge burgers on english muffins and the steaks are very solid aswell. The best French onion soup ever!!!!! The flavor was out of this world! Loved how the onions in the soup were cooked well and they even put cheese inside the soup for added flavor besides the top! I also ordered the cheesesteak wrap which never disappoints! read more

Came to this place off a suggestion and was not disappointed. It's definitely more bar than restaurant but their burgers are amazing. They are incredible huge and cooked perfectly. I also got the Mac n cheese bites which were delicious, some of the better that I have had. I was pleasantly surprised as I was unsure what to expect when I first pulled up. Also the wait staff was very sweet, attentive and fast. It's a small location but it definitely got busy as we left! Will definitely return to this location. My only complaint is that we were not properly greeted upon our arrival. I think that is most important for any business as it makes you feel welcomed right away. read more

Friendly neighborhood bar with large portioned bar food. Burgers are twice the size of most burger spots and fresh. It's a great family atmosphere where you can have a meal with the kids. There's about twelve tv screens and a pool table. It runs on the smaller side but that's what makes it cozy. read more

I found Griff's Place 8 years ago. It's a great Sport's Bar with great food and many beers on tap. The people are nice as well as the service. There are wide screen TV.s at the bar and behind you when sitting at the bar or tables, so you can watch all the team action. read more

This is a nice place with a very laid back feel to it. The food was good I would say above average for typical bar food on Staten Island with very large portions. The beer menu is not as extensive as I would have hoped. They serve typical domestic beers (Budweiser, Miller etc.). My main draw back with Griffs was the service. The waiters seemed generally uninterested and were not very attentive. I would have given 3 stars if not for the poor service. With that being said I would give this place another try because of the food. read more
