So me and my veteran brother came to this establishment looked nice sat at bar - bartender didn't come over for over 10 min ordered drinks- she made walked away had to request menu . We ordered wing with blue cheese and a ranch - and ordered onion rings and a pizza - Wings came out only blu cheese she walked away i had to call her over i asked for the ranch we ordered with wings she tells me i have to wait till the other food comes out - I said so I'm supposed to eat my wings cold she says what do you want me to get it - i said well yea you work here no . Angry walked right to kitchen which is right at end of bar couldn't understand why couldn't grab and the sauce look pre made so just had to grab it . So we eat our food wings ok - pizza horrible only thing decent were onion rings . After eating got check she decided to tell me that if i decide to come back there i shouldn't be so rude and it's not her job to get what i ordered ! She said i don't make the rules here so maybe the owner needs to speak with her about rules or if she is not allowed to grab a premade sauce that was ordered with the food she can't grab it i doubt the owner would not let her grab a sauce that was missing !!! She clearly didn't know what she was doing waitress from other side brought food for bar patron she kept walking pass it she came from dinning side just to give to person at bar!!! The staff was very kind. The place was filled with people. We went there for a late lunch. We had the Tex- Mex salad with grilled chicken and the other with steak. The one with the grilled chicken was tasty however the one with the steak I would not recommend. It was over cooked and dry. Next time, I will get the grilled chicken. Every Friday and Saturday, a 100 underage kids from the South Shore are there drinking. Not only is it illegal to let these underage kids drink at your bar but it's a fire hazard considering the bar side is shaped like a subway cart. The place is split in two, the bar Room is nice & inviting and has room for about 16 people seated at the bar, the dinning room is large enough we had a table for 12 and there was plenty of space. The menu was simple but the food was good, I had the Rubin and enjoyed it. The service was okay. The drink prices were fare, they had a half dozen beers on tap, although it would be nice if they served Guinness in a Traditional Imperial Pint glass. Lunch with tip cost $38 per-person. read more

Prices have gone up as to be expected but the portions have been drastically reduced. I had the chili which was some what watery. Whenever my wife and our son would travel from our home in nj to Staten Island to visit family, we'd always stop at W's for lunch. My son loved their French Onion soup and would always ask for it. Food was always good. We stopped in recently tho and things have changed! Food was way off. Wings were SO over cooked. The well done burger came out BLEEDING! We spoke to our waitress (VERY NICE) who told us there's a new owner, a real nasty woman who I believe we encountered. She had a big attitude! It's been a few years since I was last here and wow has this place changed. Not just the bar/restaurant itself, but the entire shopping plaza. From dingy and run down, to a more modern appeal. Anyway, on to W's! This bar was once a favorite of mine and my friends. Nearly every Monday night football game was watched here for several seasons (not sure if they still do this, but there used to be a all the wings you can eat and domestic pitchers for $20 during the game). Since we've matured and decided we cant gorge on wings/beer every week of our lives, we haven't been back. This past Sunday we decided to pop in for the Giants game. The wings are just as good as I remember (better than average for a bar for sure) and plenty of new and different menu items. Tonight was a wing/beer night so nothing else was sampled, but as far as bars in this area of SI go (Tottenville) you can't go wrong by checking this place out. This place used to be covered by tinted windows. You couldn't see in and it felt like a private society club. But now that they have taken the tint off the windows we ventured in. I'd highly recommend all of the burgers the meat is cooked fresh never frozen. I also like to compliment the W's crew on the wings they are nice and crispy never soggy and a generous portion is given. This has become my neighborhood favorite place to go. Food is all terrific. The staff and owners are friendly and its a great place to relax. At night the bar crowd is never rowdy and on weekends some nights there is live music with no cover charge. I really wanted to like this place. A local bar in the neighborhood... We got in around 7:30, and the female bartender told us we Couldn't open a tab because she was leaving in 30 mins. Who does that?!? The wings were ok. Saucy and spicy but a little too vinegary... The 8:00 bartenders seemed better but we didn't stick around. And the food comes out on a separate bill!!? Why?!! Atmosphere and food are good . The bartending is terrible , especially if you have the misfortune of having Rachel as a bartender . She thinks because she parades around in yoga pants that she is doing you a favor by getting you a drink , even if it takes her 10 minutes . Her bar etiquette is terrible .
