    Skirt steak and lobster risotto
    Priscilla P.

Went for an early Sunday dinner for our anniversary. Place was weirdly empty but the food and service came out great. Started with a pistachio martini that was very yummy. Must order the crispy rice tuna!! We also ordered the mussels from their football special- a tasty broth. My husband ordered the skirt steak that was perfectly medium rare. I had the lobster risotto that was nice and they didn't skimp on the meat. The only downside of the night was that the lava cake didn't lava. Still enjoyable and I will return to try more things off the menu!

Everything here was excellent. The food, the drinks, and the service were amazing. The vibe and the music are on point. Love it here. The pictures don't do the food justice! Amazing!

Came here to celebrate a girlfriend's birthday, had an 8:30pm reservation and was seated promptly. The music playing was very good but I did feel like the amount of screens displaying Serena Bistro was a tad overkill. The entertainment was enjoyable, from the ladies dancing to the man playing the drums interacting with the guests. Service was good but we had 3 different people ask us if they could get us water when we first sat down and then two waitresses throughout the night .. not sure if they were assigned to all the tables but I would have preferred to have one waitress throughout the night to make it less confusing. Food was amazing! We ordered a bunch of apps- calamari, mussels, pizza, rice balls, tuna tartar, crab cakes, pesto burrata, & octopus skewers. My favorite were the crab cakes and pizza! Pizza was $25- thought it would be a regular size, it's more of a personal size pizza - expensive for that size! Drinks were also very good- cucumber mint martini, pomegranate martini, and spicy margaritas. All made very well.

I don't know about you but I didn't know you could find such lovely upscale dining in SI. Went here with a friend and was pleasantly surprised by the classic food and the beautiful ambiance. Staff was so friendly and inviting. My friend got a burger and I got the veggie and both were equally good. Apps were on point and the dessert was fantastic. The bar is so beautiful and a great photo opp too. I can see this being fun to each and game. And they have DJ and dancers at night too!

Serena Bistro is a great addition to Staten Island. The interior design and decor add to the experience. The ambiance is set with nice music in the e background. I came during the week so there were no live DJ, but I am told the weekends are a vibe. The service was awesome, Frank was a delight and made sure we were taken care of. The food which is most important was delicious. I had the skirt steak and my son had the Italian burger. Everything was top notch! I would definitely come back!

Food was alright I had the chicken francese and appetizers was the classic calamari and to drink was lychee martini .. first of we didn't had a reservation (granted) they could of put us in one of the soo many tables that was open we stayed for bout hour and half and none of them table that we could of sat on were full . Stop double booking people .. my chicken francese wasn't lemony I had way better in other places ohh and my lychee martini didn't had the fruit in it smh .. would I go there ? That's TBD..

Came here on a Thursday, the service was amazing. Music was good, as well as the ambience. It was ladies night so there was $10 cocktails which you couldn't be. The food was very good. I was impressed, the waiter really was great. And the prices you cannot beat. I will definitely be coming back and recommend this place to others.

A must try on Staten Island! The interiors were very impressive, the staff was friendly and attentive, the drinks and food were amazing, and we had the best time thanks to the dj and entertainment.

Upon getting there, it is a nice Marina bar that has a grave a lot. We walked shortly from the parking lot and got seats of the bar right away. There was a good amount of people there for a Saturday afternoon. However, we were helped right away. Their beer prices are pretty phenomenal in my opinion. The selection I think is pretty good too. We were speaking with one of the people behind the bar and they said the plan is to also have food trucks here eventually as well for a food option. There is ample seating here as you can see from some of the pictures I took and the two staff we talked to were very friendly. One thing that could be a pro or a con depending on your disposition is that this is an outdoor bar. There are a lot of fans going and it has a very nice breeze. How over on a hot day where something loose and breathable. However, in the spring and fall I can imagine this place having a big crowd because it seems like a really nice place to have a drink and hang out. All in all. If you're local, I would definitely come check this place out. We will definitely be back in the future.

From what I've heard, it usually gets packed during peak sports seasons--but we happened to hit a lull (post-football, pre-baseball, and no major games on), so we basically had the place to ourselves. That actually worked in our favor--the quieter atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy conversation without the usual sports bar chaos. Drinks were a highlight. I went with the sangria, which was refreshing and well-balanced. Instead of ordering full entrees, we decided to share a bunch of appetizers. Everything that came out looked great, and everyone in the group seemed really happy with the flavors. As someone with a gluten allergy, though, I was pretty limited in what I could order. The ribs ended up being one of my only real options--but thankfully, they were tender, flavorful, and definitely the standout for me. Still, I do wish there were more gluten-free choices, especially since we were there to celebrate and share food. One thing that stood out (in a not-so-great way) was that we felt a bit rushed toward the end of the meal. We didn't even get the chance to order a birthday dessert, which was disappointing given the occasion, but seeing since it was only our group there I'm sure they were ready to close and go home. Service overall was attentive and friendly while we were dining, so no complaints there otherwise. It was winter when we visited, but I can see this being a great spot in warmer months--the outdoor seating looks like it would really add to the experience. Parking was easy on a Sunday night, and they do have a lot, but make sure to read the signs carefully since some spots are reserved for the theater next door. Overall it has a great vibe, solid drinks, and food that people clearly enjoy--I just wish there were more gluten-free options so I didn't leave still a little hungry.

Now for the food. The seasoning was immaculate. We did try the griot app (not pictured) and it was very flavorful. The Rasta pasta dish was seasoned appropriately and provided a comfortable heat. If you are used to typical heat of pikliz then you may find the spice level was at a mild level which paired nicely with the passion 75. The drink tasted more like a spin on a mimosa but I was wish the passionfruit was from the fruit to bring in the tartness - still good. The cheesecake was pretty standard. A few of my guests are very familiar with Haitian cuisine, so we were really looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately, I was immediately disappointed when we arrived because there was no customized/pre-booked menu prepared for our party as discussed beforehand. When I asked about it, I was told they were unsure what happened and no menus had been printed. Because of that, I had to ask the server to verbally explain the dinner selections and sides to everyone. Now for the food: The Ou La wings were delicious, and the crab cakes were excellent so flavorful and moist. We are familiar with soup bouillon, but unfortunately this version was not enjoyable to us. It had a very tangy taste that seemed off. For entrées, the griot was served with diri djon djon, fried plantains, and broccolini. The griot itself was good, but the plantains were fried extremely hard. This entrée was also supposed to come with salad russe, but that was missing. The salmon was delicious overall, although a few guests felt it was very dry. The mashed potatoes and broccolini were good. I also asked for pikliz, which was excellent and had the perfect kick to it. The drinks were definitely delicious and strong. Dessert was another disappointment because the crème brûlée I had pre-booked was unavailable. I ended up trying the carrot cake and almond toasted cake, which were okay. I will say our server was very sweet and attentive throughout the night. The restaurant itself was also nice and clean. However, the food took quite a while to come out, especially for a dinner that had been pre-planned in advance. Overall, there were just too many hiccups for an event that was booked ahead of time. While there were some enjoyable dishes and good service, I personally would not recommend this place for a large party or special pre-planned event.
