Went for an early Sunday dinner for our anniversary. Place was weirdly empty but the food and service came out great. Started with a pistachio martini that was very yummy. Must order the crispy rice tuna!! We also ordered the mussels from their football special- a tasty broth. My husband ordered the skirt steak that was perfectly medium rare. I had the lobster risotto that was nice and they didn't skimp on the meat. The only downside of the night was that the lava cake didn't lava. Came here to celebrate a girlfriend's birthday, had an 8:30pm reservation and was seated promptly. The music playing was very good but I did feel like the amount of screens displaying Serena Bistro was a tad overkill. The entertainment was enjoyable, from the ladies dancing to the man playing the drums interacting with the guests. Service was good but we had 3 different people ask us if they could get us water when we first sat down and then two waitresses throughout the night .. not sure if they were assigned to all the tables but I would have preferred to have one waitress throughout the night to make it less confusing. Food was amazing! We ordered a bunch of apps- calamari, mussels, pizza, rice balls, tuna tartar, crab cakes, pesto burrata, & octopus skewers. My favorite were the crab cakes and pizza! Pizza was $25- thought it would be a regular size, it's more of a personal size pizza - expensive for that size! I don't know about you but I didn't know you could find such lovely upscale dining in SI. Went here with a friend and was pleasantly surprised by the classic food and the beautiful ambiance. The bar is set from the previous establishment, near the front. Oval in shape and comfortable to sit at. I had a perfectly crafted old fashion and the way had some cabernet. We ordered shrimp tempura, steamed chicken dumplings and mushroom rice balls. All were delicious. When the music started playing the volume was such that it allowed for conversation. We had the epanada's and gouda rice balls for appetizers and the spicy rigatoni and the skirt steak for dinner which were delicious!! Let me begin by saying that my husband and i frequent this restaurant. The reason for my poor review is mostly because i was gifted a 100 gift certificate to Serena's and when paying the bill my gift certificate was refused, my husband requested to speak to management, the manager informed us Serena's is under new "Ownership" however i know this is untrue. The owner who owned it from when it first opened is still the same owner now. i now have a 100.00 gift certificate that is basically useless. so yes I'm mad. Word of advise do not buy gift certificates from this restaurant and be mind full not to book any parties either. Why a restaurant would lie is actually disturbing. read more

when I first came in I waited 30 mins for my table to get cleaned. I had 14 people. I said I have a few who can't eat and was worried because I was given the package and was texted by one of the workers and said that it was fine it won't be added onto my bill and not to worry about it days prior (I have visual proof of that) anyway we got to the table the music and food was great. but once the bill came was when it all went down hill. my table specifically asked for a separate bill for the alcohol so things wouldn't get complicated and what they do? put it all together. I had the 79.99 package per person so let me know how my bill came out to 1,163 bucks. Even though that didn't sound correct we paid but Then my friends card wasn't working so they threatened to call the cops on us and weren't accommodating at all. They were just telling us give the money or they're calling the police. None of us wanna go to jail so we gave the money. But they were making us feel extremely uncomfortable. Once we got the pending status they charged an extra 300 on my credit card .... Never go to this place unless you want to be uncomfortable and screwed out of money..... read more

First let me start off by saying how beautiful it is once you enter... bling bling everywhere! The chandeliers and the paintings are outrageous! The greenery on the back wall is pretty too. They offered us bread and still water to begin...regular roll, olive roll & bread sticks with olive tapenade for dipping. We could've used a little oil too, however the bread went well with the apple salad we got as an appetizer. Our martinis took awhile to get to us, however they were worth the wait! The pear martini was flaming! My cucumber mint martini was refreshing & my friend's chocolate martini was delicious! For our mains we split the pesto gnocchi... it didn't need the almonds, also too much sauce. We also split the stuffed shrimp... the crab meat & polenta were tasty, however they didn't even need the shrimp because they were too tough & had no flavor. We also tried the stuffed shell special... which i found oddly out of place for this restaurant that specializes in steak & seafood. The shells were good, not the best. Another odd thing I found was they had no chicken on the menu. My friend got the steak, which he said was very good. We also tried the limoncello martini & Pear fallout which were strong but tasty!
