My boyfriend asked for two green teas and the bartender brought out three. When we questioned the additional serving, she said "it's on the house" However another bartender with curly long hair came up to us with a separate bill. Her attitude was so nasty, according to her she had to charge us for the green teas because she felt like we did not tip her well. She did not even let me finish giving her the tip money and became upset with the singles we had. Don't trust these bartenders. It's the principal behind it. Don't say it is on the house and then charge us for it. I can easily afford 3 green teas, but don't be petty about the situation. First and last time going to this bar. Update: Now Nick the business owner is denying this is "not his business" Please, don't be ridiculous! How do I know the live band there was playing Sway by Dean Martin last night? Moby Dick's is a hidden gem. Great pub food, big selection and always freshly made. They have the BEST burgers!!! It's very "old school" vibes inside. Love Moby Dicks Service is 5 star, food (pub grub) 4. Cant say enough good about all the servers. You never have to sit there for 5 minutes waiting for a drink like it should be for an establishment that wants to make money they're asking you when your drink is empty would you like another as it should be. I think my husband fell in love with the bar. Located in an off the beaten path section of town the scene is set for a great time. We got there just as the band was setting up and the crowd was changing from the early bird to the late night drinker. We may have been the youngest in here as most of the customers were closer to middle age. This is probably a nice biker style bar in the summer and it looks like this could be a fun party crowd. We were surprised by how clean it was here, especially the mens room which is showroom gorgeous. Although we made this note before my shot came with somebody else's lipstick on the glass. My husband thought it was gross but then spent a few minuets trying to figure out if the woman was still at the bar. He gave up when he couldn't find any one wearing that shade. I could see how this would be a decent hangout for the locals. They do have bands playing and the place does get packed by the regulars on the eves on weekends but my experience was the service trying to get a drink and not being a regular or a woman was like pulling teeth and then they never gave me my change until I asked for it. It's one this if it was a dollar since that's my usual tip when ordering a beer but if you give them a $20 that's not good. This place was okay during the day to stop in after a day of boating with the launch ramp down the street and grab a bite to eat and a drink. The part that really sucks is that having a beer here in the evening if you're not a local Woodbridge Police are waiting on the two roads out of this area to pull people over for a dwi check like a bunch of stalkers which is the main reason why I won't come here if I'm driving on weekends. read more

I give this place 5 stars in its category. It's a bar and grill with a surprisingly full menu and obvious care in the kitchen. Full of locals on Friday and Saturday nights but welcoming to me as a newcomer from Staten Island. I've been there twice and ate with my wife at the bar both times. From the seafood cakes to the steak quesadilla and beyond the food was much better than you expect from a tavern atmosphere. The bartenders hustle to happily serve. Both nights had very good bands. So, we've passed Moby Dick's a thousand times... and we finally stopped in for lunch today. The atmosphere is comfortable and friendly. Classic rock music playing in the background. A bartender, Allie, was also our server. She was friendly and just the right amount of attentive. The bacon cheeseburger was delicious, with a lot of crispy bacon, fresh onion & tomato and with shredded lettuce. Fries were good, crispy outside & soft inside, well seasoned. Went to see my co-worker play in his band here last night. Crowd was mixed and they had a good selection of beers. Closest to craft IPA brews might have been Goose. I was drinking Sam Winter. Not a terribly big place, I'm not sure if I would call it a dive but some might. Overall, I felt comfortable. I've been coming here for over three years. Tonight this new bartender tried to play me and 20+ people in the bar saying it was 10:40 and closing time when my iPhone kept saying 10:05!! I also asked for the same shot of Jameson as my friend and my shot was a dark color compared to a light Jameson. I was charged $9 for a single "shot" and it was not what I asked for. She didn't believe me when I said that wasn't what I ordered when you could clearly tell my shot looked like and tasted like black licorice not Jameson. And I was charged $9 fOr a shot I didn't even want cause I HATE the taste of licorice. Ever since the old bar tenders left this chick feels liken she can get away with anything but all I want is my $40 back from my total experience cause the entire experience was me being ripped off for shit I didn't ask for. Solid locals place to grab a nice cold Pabst while you grab 'em in the biscuits. Mr. F & the fellas came here on a hot Friday. We almost left when we saw the portable AC unit, but we found a cool spot & stayed. Beers are cold and cheap. We all had Pabst and we enjoyed it while playing with the Touch Tunes jukebox. Food was average at best. The Italian sandwich special was pretty good. We also had the "Award Winning Wings." If there was an award for New Jersey's most below average wings, then Mr. F would agree these would be award winning, but Mr. F and the fellas were not pleased with them at all. What should be award winning is the men's room. This is one of the most fabulous men's rooms Mr. F had the pleasure of experiencing. Both the temperature and atmosphere is HOT! The urinals are playfully close together without splash guard, which allows for some hot impromptu water sports or sneaking a peak at your unsuspecting urinal-mate. Clam flavored chowder no clams. Service non existent save your time and money. Used to have $5.00 lunch with salad bar. Completely different. Lunch specials not at all special. Stumbled upon this great bar nestled in the corner of an industrial area thought it would might be a great idea to go in there for a bite to eat after a long day of work. It was 820 and I researched it on yelp before and they said that the kitchen closed at 9o'clock so we went and ordered a round of drinks the bartender came back to inform us that the kitchen was closed, I was very disappointed so myself and my three coworkers had to leave and go to another big-name corporate establishment and order food there I'm usually all about supporting local businesses but in this case they didn't accommodate us. Very casual bar/restaurant, filled with regulars at the bar. The seafood was excellent. I had the fish and chips, and I'm going to go out on a limb and say it was fresh caught--it was that good. We also ordered a 'fish cake ' sandwich, which was actually scallop, crab, and shrimp. It was a special, and delicious. The clam chowder was homemade with a lot of crab. The fries and onion rings were from a bag, but it's all about the seafood anyway. The waiter was the bartender, but he was nice and efficient. For $8 an entree, it was a deal. read more

Fun place, great food...pork chops are unbelievable! Sunday afternoons for games is a great local atmosphere. Service at the bar is good, could be better if they didn't have to do the table service too. Problem is the overbooking of bands! Place is small, which normally I have no problem with, however they have music almost every night and it gets so loud you cannot think. We love their food, great price and always fresh, however they have lost us as customers because they want to be a band venue and not a local anymore. read more
