    Christmas Decor

I visited this restaurant last night with my family, who were visiting from another country and were excited to try good Italian food and we were not disappointed. We arrived right on time and were greeted warmly, then seated just a few moments later. The atmosphere was immediately inviting; the entire restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas, creating a festive and cozy vibe. The only downside was the absence of a menorah or any acknowledgment of other holidays something I wish they had included, because it's not always just about Christmas. This is why I gave it 4 stars and not 5. Before our meal even arrived, a passing waiter graciously offered us a sample of their rice balls, and they were absolutely delicious. The sauce was rich and flavorful, and it was such a nice touch of hospitality. I ordered a lychee martini, which came out perfectly chilled and incredibly refreshing. For dinner, I had the skirt steak cooked to absolute perfection and my cousin really enjoyed her beautiful, fresh pizza. I'm honestly so happy I finally gave this place a try. It's just a stone's throw from my home, within walking distance, and now I know what a gem it is. The restaurant was completely packed, yet the atmosphere was full of life: people laughing, talking, and engaging with each other. I didn't see anyone sitting glued to their phone, which was refreshing and added to the warm, communal feel of the evening. I will definitely be returning with my family. This place is a wonderful neighborhood spot with great food, lively energy, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommend!

PACKED on Friday night! Came for food and dueling pianos. Family friendly. Started with Italian Bread with whipped butter with a little honey drizzle. Large dining area with fast service and good food and wine. My Lobster Ravioli left me wanting more. My partner's Crab Stuffed Shrimp was delicious! The Sangiovese was the perfect combination. Reservations are limited to an hour and fifteen minutes, but they try to push you out in 45 minutes. Not the place to have a relaxed dinner. Service is about getting your order, giving you your order, and getting you out of here! Good food and entertainment that make you want to come, with service that tries to get you out of here! Food and entertainment closer to a five. Impersonal service acted like a buzz kill.

As if the food wasn't amazing enough, we were served (spoiled) by Andres. He was working multiple tables but never forgot about us and was anticipatory in his attention. Servers like Andres have ensured our return business. The restaurant had very beautiful Christmas decorations on the ceiling. Very unique. Thank you, Andres.

Place is very nice inside, service was great. They have 2 nice size parking lots, so there is plenty of parking. Food was very hood I would definitely recommend this place and would go back.

Drinks, apps we ordered, and pizza were great!! The entrees left a lot to be desired. Short rib pasta (cavatelli I believe) from the "daily special" menu was extremely overcooked. Skirt steak was a bit chewy and the brown sauce was unnecessary. Someone ordered the sea bass and it smelled very fishy. Not sure if the kitchen just had an off day but really wished the entrees were as good as the apps.

It was like a bigger version of the Olive Garden. Didn't seem authentic at all. Just not a place I would visit again.

I could immediately tell this place was going to be a good regular spot. Between the atmosphere, the charm, the creativity, and the overall experience- I would vote this the best dive bar in NYC (I think Guy Fieri would agree). Tucked inside a historic building, this place has such a unique, intimate feel. The energy, the staff, the food, the drinks and the live band, was fuggetabouit I checked out their website and then experiencing it in person, I can confidently say... The Rock House is a VIBE for sure! So the space is on the smaller side, but all part of that neighborhood vibe. It's like Rock Glam meets neighborhood bar in like a Cheers type setting what I'm sure there are regulars. For a night out with 10 people- we locked down the bathroom corner and I actually enjoyed being able to sit close with my friends. Felt like we had best seats in the house but when you look around... everyone kind of has the best seats since the bar is central to the entire perimeter. As a nurse, I've only ever been out that way for Northwell on Seguine, so I had no idea there was even a spot like this tucked at the end. Hidden gem for sure. And don't let the word "bar" fool you okay this place delivers on food Big ups to "Rocker Jen," the owner, who was hanging out like one of the patrons, she not only served up looks, but jumped in to make her signature Bloody Mary. When I say it's a meal in a cup, I mean it- my inner foodie was so excited Onion rings, fried pickles, a bacon-wrapped hot dog, fried sweet shrimp, a pretzel, chicken fingers, and two of the best cheeseburger sliders I've had in a while. And you already know I'm a foodie... ahem Yelp Elite I really can't stop thinking of that delicious rim too. What really surprised me is that it's not just a bar with entertainment- I read- it's also dog-friendly, which makes it even better . Check out their website for happy hour details, events, and happenings... Rock House Bar and Grille knocked it out of the park. I'll absolutely be back. If you love Rock Music and good food and drinks- do not miss this place- enjoy

We met Mario, co owner, as soon as we stepped in. He welcomed us with open arms & provided wonderful recommendations for meals & drinks. They have a brand new menu so there are many choices that would please anyone/everyone. We started with their toasted homemade bread & pepper spread - soooo delicious!! We each had pasta - ravioli with vodka sauce & rigatoni with a bolognese ragu - both yummy! We split the peanut butter/jelly lava cake with vanilla ice cream - heavenly!! We looked for a spot. it's extremely hard to find parking in this area.. there is a small lot but seems like it gets filled quickly. We didn't have reservations but it was rather early and didn't think it would be hard to get a table. We walked in and a cute older man was energetically running around waiting tables and making drinks. I think he was the owner. He was funny and super nice. He seated us. There was two super large parties in the restaurant. They were loud and tbh obnoxious! We looked at the menu and we settled on some light options. Fried calamari 19 , a salad( Pera ) Bibb lettuce with Gorgonzola, candied walnuts , poached pears in a balsamic glaze 18 we added salmon and a meatball pie 21. Tiramisu So let me break it down for you. We had hot bread with a beautifully seasoned tomato sauce. It was really amazing! It really set the tone for the meal. The fried calamari was really good. Crunchy, fresh and not dripping in oil. Lightly seasoned and the sauce was perfect with the calamari. The only thing the portion was small for the price! The pizza came out and again this pizza was like a personal pizza again the price is off . I wasn't impressed with the cheese they used. It didn't seem like fresh mozzarella. First impression there was way too much sauce the crust was like a wafer. Super thin! I wasn't impressed. I took a bite and the sauce tasted raw ! Like not cooked. Had an unpleasant taste. I actually got a little nauseated. Moving on we order the Pera salad and wanted to top it with salmon. We expected a full salad and salmon right on top. It might have been our fault for not asking the price for the salmon but that's what we wanted. Anyway our salad comes and literally it's a side salad with a 3 or 4 oz portion of salmon. Super small. We couldn't believe it. We were still hungry so we order a tiramisu. It was light, fresh and just a simple dessert. This place is by far not a date place. It's loud and somewhat chaotic. You def can tell the owner is busting his ass. It's really unfortunate The food is not consistent with taste, flavor and consistency . Which is a shame. The price point of the food is way too expensive for a place on Staten Island! Speaking of price we get the bill and the price for two side salads and a small piece of salmon each 80 F'ING DOLLARS!! The guy literally ripped us off ! We pay the bill as we both shake our heads and walk out and the owner goes " hey make sure you tell 5 friends to come visit" yea sure and get ripped I would have loved to say! Patrons be aware!
