Everything here was great. The atmosphere, the service, and of course the food! They are known for their roast beef sandwich so you know we had to order one! The Pointer was the winner with its horseradish mayo, Swiss cheese, piled high meat, and spicy peppers on the chosen Portuguese roll. This, along with their disco tots, & a Stella on draft was the perfect Saturday lunch!

Meatloaf sandwich ("The Point 'burger'")

I had the Buffalo chicken flatbread, and it was fantastic. My wife thought it was kinda spicy. I enjoyed the meatloaf sandwich ("Point burger"), but my wife thought the turkey platter left something to be desired. I was disappointed to see there is no hamburger on the menu. Point strikes me as a place that would do great business if they served hamburgers. The children's menu has good variety. My daughter loved her hot dog and tater tots. Ambiance reminded me of many a pub/restaurant in New England, and I really liked that. I want to try the Cuban sandwich, but I sincerely hope they add burgers to the menu. Good bar, and a regular crowd that seems loyal is a plus.

Brand new The Point Tavern

Newly up opened The Point Tavern bar and grill on Staten Island. Warm atmosphere and friendly bar supported by a great crew. Solid, hearty all American bar food. Very welcoming environment and good place to stop in for after work drinks, casual night out, or to watch the game.

We got stuck in NY because of missed flight connection due to weather! This is the best roast beef sandwich I have ever had!! The Pointer has the beef, has the horseradish and the heat from peppers! It was amazing!!

They recently redid this place, really fresh inside, still opening up, cool local vibe, chill local bar, all the locals are here. Stopped in with a buddy had some nice cold beers.

The building was previously The Century Inn and is one of the oldest continuously operated restaurants in New York City. It has a great history and I think the current bar dates back to the mid 19th century. After the sale a couple of years ago, the new owners kept the German themed menu, beer list and most of the decor. The decor and overall ambiance of the place is great. We were here on a Thursday night at around 6pm. It was empty. I think while we were there, maybe two other tables were occupied. There were a couple of patrons at the bar so it was relatively quiet. The food was ok, nothing special. I had the chicken cutlet Schnitzel which came with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. It was pretty bland overall. The vegetables may have come out of a can, not sure though. My cousins ordered the wurst sampler and he said it was fine. Again, the food was okay and not as good or hearty like I remembered it being. I know the spring and summer season are coming and the beer garden will be open soon. They had posters up that had the upcoming music lineup. That was always fun. Check it out if you happen to be out on Staten Island.

Delicious food! My friends and I came here for the Bachelor finale on a Monday night and they had…read moreit on all the tvs plus a large projector in the back room which was great! PROS: 1. Best mozzarella sticks I've ever had, each stick had a nice thick piece of mozzarella, they were crispy, marinara dipping sauce was tasty as well 2. Delicious chicken tenders, classic diner style, wide and flat pieces of chicken, crispy, just how I like em! 3. Large projector screen in the back room with speakers, we had no problem seeing or hearing the Bachelor! CONS: 1. The service was pretty slow, it seemed like there was only one server there who was also the bartender but since this was on a Monday night, it's probably not usually as busy as it was when I went Besides the food I mentioned, we also had the garlic/butter pretzel with beer cheese and mustard which I enjoyed but the rest of my group found that the cheese was weird and not typical beer cheese. We also got Mac and cheese balls which I didn't try so can't comment and for dessert we had the smores brownie which was basic, I probably wouldn't get it again. Overall, I definitely want to come back, it's only been one day and I'm already craving the chicken fingers and mozz sticks
