Clam Pie

Very lively atmostphere for a casual post work happy hour! Would recommend their clam pie -- crust is super thin and crisp, generously topped with clam!

Scungilli

Cute neighborhood bar with standard bar food which is pretty good. Lots of tv's for the sports enthusiasts. They are known for their white clam pie but I was in a mood for sauce. You're able to get half red and half white. I have to say the white was def better. The red sauce on the other half was a little overbearing. Buffalo calamari. Was very good but super spicy! Scungilli with medium sauce was very good but served with sliced Italian bread and not a biscuit Salad was very good. Good service. A parking lot across the street.

I ordered a ceasar salad I didn't ask for black olives or red onion. They gave me old brown lettuce. I waited over 15 mins for a disaster.

I ordered a Caesar salad and received whatever they decided to give me. salad cost $14.75 for old lettuce and toppings that don't belong inaceasar salad. . Very disappointed in the quality of the place. Never will eat here again

Calamari

Came here on a Tuesday night, so it wasn't so busy. We ordered a regular calamari and a buffalo calamari and many bar pies with various toppings. The calamari here are fantastic! Soft and not chewy at all. The buffalo calamari is delicious!! We really enjoyed everything we ordered. The pizza were thin crust, so perfectly crunchy and flavorful!

Very nose small bar with great energy. I like to pick up pizza from there. Claim pie is my favorite. And can't mention this- their prices is the most fair. Large Pie with half sausage was only $14.50

This corner Italian bar & grill is the cat's pajamas for old time New York neighborhood watering hole dive bars on Staten Island. Third generation, the bar room is darkly lit with tintype ceiling and wood/mirrored back bar. It has atmosphere up the wazoo! Even better, their thin crust pizza is terrific and well worth the drive from Bucks County, PA, as the dinner stop after exploration of local beaches and Fort Wadsworth. Their signature White Clam Pie is terrific. Crisp crust. Mild clam flavor mixed with melted mozza was surprisingly delicious for this first timer. Our pie was half regular tomato/cheese, which was a great counterpoint to the diced clams. We also ordered a half platter of Fried Calamari with medium spice red dipping sauce. Very nice as an appetizer. Service was provided by family and friends of the owners. At the end we met Momma Lee, who described the fifty plus years of close family involvement in the enterprise. It felt so cozy that we thought of hanging around longer to absorb more of whatever Lee's Tavern was putting out. But, they needed to turnover tables for folks waiting by the front door, so we paid and told ourselves we would be back for more. 5 Generational Stars

The best bar in Staten Island! Delicious pizza, hot scungillie. Staff are very welcoming making you feel welcome

Great old school Staten Island establishment.

Quick review. I haven't been to Lee's since moving off Staten Island nine years ago. The interior hasn't changed at all which is great. It has retained its nice neighborhood feel. The pizza here is some of the best you'll get on Staten Island. I gave my fellow traveler the options for several places and he chose here because of the bar pie option. I've never had the buffalo "galamad" (calamari) before and it was great. I was craving a clam pie which you can't get anywhere where I live now. It was delicious. My friend enjoyed his very much as well. The waitress was attentive and stopped by regularly to ask if we needed anything. It's cash only here so have the greenbacks when you come. Street parking can be difficult on weekends but on Wednesday at 1230, no problem.

Gotta trust any place that still has a pay phone

As a native son of the Isle of Staten, County of Richmond, this is in my top two for the area. It's thin, but not too thin, the sauce is deliciously fresh, and the sauce to cheese ratio is perfect for my liking. The regular food is good too, the sandwiches in particular. I also recommend the fried calamari. It's crisp and fresh, and the dipping sauce is thick enough that it isn't your normal marinara, so it doesn't just slide off into oblivion. Where this spot really wins out is the FEEL. The ambiance, the service, the people, and the area lack any pretension whatsoever. When you show up more than once, they remember you, your kids names, and where you went to High School. Prices are super reasonable, and the location near the train is super convenient. Cash only (as all the legit spots in these parts are). Prepare accordingly. ATM in the back if you don't, so no worries.

Omg my Girlfriend introduced me to Lee's today. what a true Gem. It's a bar with old school charm. They have Incredible pizza and Italian food! Our Server made suggestions and was really friendly. If you're in Staten Island it's worth the trip.

White clam pie

Best pizza on Staten Island hands down. Always a classic, have been going there for over a decade. Pizza is thin crust and delectable everytime. My favorite is the white clam pie. All of their pizzas are amazing. A must get appetizer is the buffalo calamari!!! Very hospitable, all of the family is welcome here. Lee's never disappoints and quality has remained the same over the years.

We ordered the Forest Ave roast beef sandwich and the fried shrimp appetizer with bang bang sauce. The shrimp had a nice crunch, and the bang bang sauce was good, but its flavor was a bit mild and plain; some garnish like chives can definitely elevate this appetizer further! Our sandwich unfortunately came without the bacon jam and maple bourbon, which meant it was just roast beef double dunked with Gruyère cheese. Unfortunately we didn't realize it until near the end, and although our waitress apologized and brought us a side of the bacon jam, by then we only had a quarter of it left which was a bummer. The roast beef was perfectly cooked and the gravy was rich and deliciously beefy, but the extra Au jus was a bit pricy for how little it was, where it came in the same small plastic sauce container instead of a small bowl/ceramic. I'm sure this doesn't happen often that half the sandwich ingredients were left out, so I guess we were just unlucky we didn't realize sooner, but it nonetheless detracted from our experience and we were charged the full price for the meal. Overall The Point Tavern has a lot of potential of being amazing and serve probably the best roast beef in all of Staten Island; I really wish them the best with their varied roast beef selections! Please give them a try and just check your sandwich before digging into it! Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:

What's the secret at the Point Tavern in Staten Island? They keep things simple! This review is based on my visit this past Saturday Evening - 21 June 2025. Bartender Mike is a true Mensch, if that's even possible, in a place like Staten Island, but he was truly a gem and kept the drinks flowing. This is truly a neighborhood watering hole that is frequented by many, including some friendly and beautiful teachers from the local school across the way. You are struck with an immediate vibe of friendliness and happiness, and visitors to the Point Tavern are truly treated like family. My great friend, "Uncle Anthony," and I enjoyed ourselves sitting and relaxing at the bar. There was a wide selection of draft beers on tap, and the mixed drinks were delicious. Confession: I made the "Shlep" to investigate this "Suspicious" Roast Beef Sandwich. My suspicions were confirmed--amazing, Juicy, Tender, and savory. Sandwiches are made to order and tailored to the customer's likely preferences. The kitchen got it right on the first shot and got me my "Kosher" Roast Beef Sandwich. Trust me, its worth the visit. A+

The building was previously The Century Inn and is one of the oldest continuously operated restaurants in New York City. It has a great history and I think the current bar dates back to the mid 19th century. After the sale a couple of years ago, the new owners kept the German themed menu, beer list and most of the decor. The decor and overall ambiance of the place is great. We were here on a Thursday night at around 6pm. It was empty. I think while we were there, maybe two other tables were occupied. There were a couple of patrons at the bar so it was relatively quiet. The food was ok, nothing special. I had the chicken cutlet Schnitzel which came with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. It was pretty bland overall. The vegetables may have come out of a can, not sure though. My cousins ordered the wurst sampler and he said it was fine. Again, the food was okay and not as good or hearty like I remembered it being. I know the spring and summer season are coming and the beer garden will be open soon. They had posters up that had the upcoming music lineup. That was always fun. Check it out if you happen to be out on Staten Island.

Best mozzarella sticks I've ever had, each stick had a nice thick piece of mozzarella, they were crispy, marinara dipping sauce was tasty as well 2. Delicious chicken tenders, classic diner style, wide and flat pieces of chicken, crispy, just how I like em! 3. Large projector screen in the back room with speakers, we had no problem seeing or hearing the Bachelor! CONS: 1. The service was pretty slow, it seemed like there was only one server there who was also the bartender but since this was on a Monday night, it's probably not usually as busy as it was when I went Besides the food I mentioned, we also had the garlic/butter pretzel with beer cheese and mustard which I enjoyed but the rest of my group found that the cheese was weird and not typical beer cheese. We also got Mac and cheese balls which I didn't try so can't comment and for dessert we had the smores brownie which was basic, I probably wouldn't get it again. Overall, I definitely want to come back, it's only been one day and I'm already craving the chicken fingers and mozz sticks
