Not to be confused with Gruelhound, which provides really awful food. I was pretty sad to see this beautiful yellow and brown building that was one of the most historic and lovely places in Eugene, and one which I used on many occasions, with their huge busty (I mean Bus) sign in the old days, replaced by the smaller Greyhound sign in the newer days, and now of course it no longer exists. The iconic double white doors will never be opened again - by bus travelers anyway. Greyhound has been changing a lot of things in the last few years, and it's a shame because they were iconic for a century. So they're now located over in Springfield, so Downtown Eugene no longer has Greyhound service - except for a little roadside stop. I only give it for stars for the memories, and I'm glad I got to come in here before it didn't exist anymore. You gene? Me gene. Genie. read more

This Greyhound Bus Depot in Eugene, Oregon is CLOSED. The building is empty and is no longer being used. Tried to pick up a friend that had been dropped off by the bus. She said she was on Pearl Street. I assumed it was the depot. When I got there I found no one and nothing. Turned out they had dropped her off, in the middle of the night, on the corner of Pearl and 5th. This is NO WAY to run a transportation company. People don't even know where passengers are being dropped off! read more

This has been the the worst experience I have ever had with a transportation service. I was suppose to leave eugene at 9pm the bus was delayed for more then 3hours but they called me to that me know but no one could give me a strait answer as you when it would get there. I called several times. Then the website finally updates after 11pm there website said it would leave at 130 so I set an alarm for 1 I was literally saying down the street from the station. Well I get up at one and the website said it had left the station at 12am. And now I have to pay a fee because there website and staff could not accurately tell me when my bus was leaving. I would definitely discourage a friend from using this service I have had such a bad experience. This is also my first Yelp review. Update: I went down to the greyhound bus station in eugene and spoke to Heather. I told her my situation and she was so nice and helpful she helped me get on the next bus. Thank you Heather you are the best! The bus ride was terrible their free wifi was incredibly spotty their free charging ports didn't work except for maybe one or two of them and the "extra leg room" was no existant. This bus station is in a nice location. Right in the heart of downtown Eugene. Not a lot of shady characters around here. Day or nite you never have to worry about your safety at the Bus stop. The staff I dealt with are polite and nice.Surprised,because a lot of Greyhound stations are unsafe and scary. read more

Greyhound has moved from this location to a location adjacent to the Springfield EMX. The inside closes at 6pm and they have a bus that comes at 2 am. The last EMX from Eugene to Springfield is at 1145pm. If you're on that 215am bus be prepared to stand for 2 and a half hours in 30 degree weather and rain. Unbelievable. Bad service to begin with just keeps sinking to new lows. Would not recommend, let them go out of business already. read more

Never have i encountered transportation staff so rude or unhelpful in my many years of domestic and international travel. what impolite, gruff, legalistic, and smallminded behavior. the service at this business was determined to bar me from boarding the bus- for which I had purchased a ticket with exact date and time- and picked on me from the moment i entered the station. I did not make my connection due to the ill-tempered man at the desk who talked to me as though i was a robot or his slave. When will a different, more polite, and reliable regional-scale bus operation with effective and reasonable business practices come to Eugene? read more

I was told that I needed to be at the station AN HOUR before my bus left. So I was there at 4:45AM to find their doors don't open until 5:45 which was just 5 minutes before my bus was scheduled to leave! I had to stand in 35 degree rainy whether in the middle of the night, a 25 year old female ALL ALONE in the middle of downtown Eugene for an hour!!!! I was harassed by a crazy person in this hour and was terrified. I will NEVER TAKE A GREYHOUND AGAIN. read more

I've used greyhound 4 times since living in Eugene. The first time the bus popped a tire and was cancelled, the second it was 1.5 hours late, the third all went well, and the last it was 30 minutes late and the air conditioning was broken on an 80 degree day. The workers are grumpy and rude and the stations and busses are dirty. Highly recommend finding another form of transportation if you can. Terrible company. read more

I have taken greyhound two times, and it was two times too many! The busses smell, the station smells, and they have zero sense of time. Each time I took the bus, either the driver did not show up or we were significantly off schedule. Horrible experience. read more

Everytime I try to take a greyhound bus somewhere, something always goes wrong. I showed up early to get my ticket at the will call counter and they suddenly told me that my bus is running 2 hours late? How can I rely on Greyhound if their service is always so poor. Their website is always "down" whenever I try to buy a ticket online and then if I try to call to buy a ticket, it takes me 30 minutes because their service is so slow! If at all possible, avoid taking the Greyhound at all times. So unreliable! read more

Watch out for the hidden fee's. I booked a seat for my Daughter to go from Eugene OR to Bend OR on line it said the fee was $ 33.00 plus $2.50 handling charge for a total of $35.50. That was ok with me. When I printed off the ticket there was an added charge of $18.00 so I called them to complain and got bounced around for a total of 45 minutes and about a dozen different departments people and all they would say is that its our policy. No where on the screen does it talk about the added fee. This will be the last time I use them read more

Bought a ticket to travel home for thanksgiving. They oversold far too many tickets so people who were supposed to travel at 10 ended up not getting on a bus until 5. They did not notify passengers that they would not be able to make it on a bus. Extremely inconsiderate and unorganized. read more
