When Saturday service starts next month, MOST routes will run, but not all. 12, 14, 22, 26 and 27 will still not run on weekends. While Saturday, and soon to come Sunday service is a HUGE improvement, it could still be much better. 2.) Loitering at Downtown Transit Center. Seriously, I don't want to listen to or interact with obnoxious, most likely drunk/high kids and homeless people wandering the Transit Center, with no intent of boarding a bus. I know they usually loiter in city property not controlled by Cherriots, but please work with the city to keep these people OUT. 3.) No Apple Pay, Google Pay, or even Tap Cards on bus. This would greatly speed up fare pay, thus speeding up busses. TriMet, and Eugene have electronic pay, so it would be nice for the capitol city to get it. Pros: Friendly drivers. I have never had a negative interaction with a bus driver, one driver (will not name them or route as to not get them in trouble), learned where I lived and pulls up as close as he can to my house. I am always greeted with a friendly hello, and drivers are usually diligent at keeping busses clean, and keeping disruptive riders under control. Prices. As a student, I only have to pay $120 a year, while a vehicle would cost well over $2000 a year to operate, due to rising insurance and gas prices. Overall, the good outnumbers the bad, and the complaints I addressed should be easily dealt with and solved. Drivers are stupendous, busses are on-time, and Cherriots is beginning to look more like a modern public transit system! 5 stars!

It then took her an additional 10 minutes to load her passengers, after she waited for them to come out. I ended up parking before she started loading people but it was really difficult. I was on the phone with her company reporting the incident. Under Oregon law, it's illegal to block someone's personal driveway or parking spot. It seemed like she could have easily pulled forward for 30 seconds to let me park, but she chose not to. ORS 811.560

The gentlemen we had were friendly and took care of all of our luggage. The company has great communication. We were scheduled to be picked up at 4:45am but at around 9pm the night before I started getting nervous that we should leave a few minutes earlier, so I sent them an email asking if we could leave at 4:30am instead, really not expecting anyone to respond in time. They actually emailed me back within 10 minutes and confirmed the earlier pick-up time. Then, our return flight landed at PDX (an unheard of!) 40 minutes early. As soon as we touched down I texted the number to see if there would be any way someone could come pick us up for 40 minutes earlier than planned, again not necessarily expecting a response - especially since it was close to midnight. However, they texted me back instantly that my driver would be in touch with me soon, and sure enough our driver texted me within a few minutes. By the time we grabbed our suitcases off of the conveyor and walked a few minutes to the curb, our driver was already there and waiting despite us being 40 minutes early - and, again, it was close to midnight on a Wednesday. The choice was an Uber, which would not have worked for our situation, or a luxury car service. Hewar was wonderful from when I first called him to arrange our trip. He was attentive and patient, even when I called him multiple times with questions. The manager, Rasheem, met us at baggage claim. Our driver, Zhieco, was professional and friendly. He helped us get our (very heavy) luggage into the hotel. On the other hand, the company I called first did not give me a chance to explain why we needed help at baggage claim. As soon as he heard that, he immediately said he couldn't help me. He threatened to post my phone number online when I wrote him a one-star review. I was shocked. I would've taken it down, regardless, because I don't post bad reviews. So, I was especially glad to talk with Hewar on my second phone call. I highly recommend Elite. If I ever need a service like this again, I will for sure call Hewar.
