The gentlemen we had were friendly and took care of all of our luggage. The company has great communication. We were scheduled to be picked up at 4:45am but at around 9pm the night before I started getting nervous that we should leave a few minutes earlier, so I sent them an email asking if we could leave at 4:30am instead, really not expecting anyone to respond in time. They actually emailed me back within 10 minutes and confirmed the earlier pick-up time. Then, our return flight landed at PDX (an unheard of!) 40 minutes early. As soon as we touched down I texted the number to see if there would be any way someone could come pick us up for 40 minutes earlier than planned, again not necessarily expecting a response - especially since it was close to midnight. However, they texted me back instantly that my driver would be in touch with me soon, and sure enough our driver texted me within a few minutes. By the time we grabbed our suitcases off of the conveyor and walked a few minutes to the curb, our driver was already there and waiting despite us being 40 minutes early - and, again, it was close to midnight on a Wednesday. Unfortunately our shuttle broken down yesterday just after departing Salem. We received very…read morelittle communication other than "cabs will be called" and some of us really needed to get to the airport to make our flights. I ended up taking a Lyft to the airport since we weren't getting much information on when the cabs would arrive (we were just told "they will be called"), and I took 4 other passengers with me. When I spoke with a supervisor today, I was told that because I do not have the confirmation number from my reservation, that I cannot be refunded, and that I cannot be compensated for the $170 Lyft ride that I took to the airport (along with 4 other passengers). I was told "The cabs that we had to call were very expensive for us" when asked why I could not be refunded for my reservation without the # or for the Lyft ride that I took. It seems that HUT makes out pretty well on this one since they won't refund for the 5 passengers I had with me since we didn't take a cab that they called, and they won't refund me for the ride that I paid for to get myself and 4 others to the airport. I was also told that I should have planned to get to the airport at "least 2 hours early" which is really quite preposterous for a domestic flight, and frankly condescending to someone like me who does air travel nearly weekly. I won't be taking the HUT Shuttle again - this was far too expensive an experience for me to risk this kind of out of pocket expense in the future (but would have been even more so if I had missed my flight, though not much more so since my airline ticket was only $185...just slightly more than what I paid for the group of us to get to the airport!) *update: the person who booked my ticket was able to get a refund, but I'm still out over $100 since I took other passengers with me and got a larger Lyft so we could all fit. Frustrating because I know that a can would have been just as or more expensive (yet HUT told me they have "deals" with local companies--Lyft is always significantly cheaper than my experience...)

I spend a fair amount of time in the Salem…read morearea visiting my parents and when I need to get back to airport, the Hut Shuttle is my go-to means of transportation. You book and pay online ($36 from Salem to PDX), then show up at the pickup location - The front of the Red Lion Inn in North Salem (north side of Market, just west of the I-5). This works well, especially for early morning flights, because I can sit in the hotel lobby while I wait. The shuttle drivers are always exceedingly courteous and safe, and I have never been late for a flight. Most of the shuttles have power outlets and wi-fi on-board, but honestly the drive isn't too long, even with an intermediate stop, so I usually just recline my chair back and catch some Z's. Tips: 1. Book and pay online. I think you may have the option to simply show up and pay the driver when you board, but this guarantees you a seat. 2. Be on time. The drivers tend to stay right on schedule so if you are late, you might be out of luck. 3. Bring some cash so you can tip the driver. They deserve it!! I don't hesitate to recommend the Hut Shuttle for transportation to PDX! Happy Travels!!

When I made my reservation I told the person what time my flight left from PDX, and I was going to check my bag. This was on Monday before Thanksgiving.I was told the bus was going to go directly from Salem to PDX. She told me I would have plenty of time to catch my flight. I asked her again. I told her again Are you sure I have plenty of time to get to the airport and check my bag. The bus stopped in Woodburn, even though I was told there would be no stops. While on the bus I realized that from the time we left Salem I only had 1 hour and 45 minutes. This was crazy because on non holiday times, they say to get the airport at least 2 hours before your flight. We got stuck in traffic and did not get to the airport until later than expected. The driver told me that Groom Transportation office closes at 10:00 pm. It was 9:50. I was able to get on the next bus at 10:25. If the bus driver had not called the office I would have missed my flight and would be stranded at the airport. The driver was very helpful. I called the supervisor on Monday morning and told her what happened. She said they were told by PDX that an hour and forty five minutes would been plenty of time to catch a flight. I do not believe it for a minute. I said to the supervisor that during Thanksgiving time, it is the most traveled time of the year! How can they tell people they have plenty of time to catch their flight when it was not true. The supervisor did not say she was sorry, nothing! No customer service. In my 1st review I mentioned that I was going to contact the corporate office to share about my experience. Upon returning from my trip (I had to pay for a new plane ticket) my review was erased!!!. DO NOT USE GROOME TRANSPORTATION!! I will be calling the corporate office tomorrow.

He noticed my Little Mermaid shirt and Disney suitcase and the rest is history. The whole ride to the airport was epic, we talked Disneyland the whole way.
