They will tell you where to go. The boats are your standard 14'.5' aluminum boat with a 9 HP outboard on it. The motor ran great, it was also new for the season. You need to leave your card as a deposit. I'm not crazy about doing that, but not a big deal. They guy working there was very nice and helpful. The store is pretty small, but has plenty of snacks and drinks as well as fishing supplies and bait, live and refrigerated. I'm not leaving a five star for one reason, they require you to clean the boat when you get back. I was beat from pulling pots and really not in the mood to wash down a boat. They have a hose, so you basically wash everything down to the back and then use a pail to remove the water. The positive is they had the hose right there on the dock next to the boat. I brought my own pots so it was nice to wash them down there instead of later. Big plus for me.

We've always used McKinley's Marina in Alsea Bay for our crabbing boats and crab pots. The staff is professional, helpful and could not be nicer!!!! When we arrive at our scheduled time, they are ready to kit us out with lifejackets, crabbing boats & crab pots. The boats are fitted with a pulley to help haul in the pots full of Dungeness crab! You need to bring the bait with you (we use raw chicken quarters.) Each boat has room for up to 4 adults (and a couple of kiddos if necessary). We head out just before high tide. It's so much fun! When we get back to the dock, the staff check our crab to make sure we have legal size males (only) and they prep it and steam it right there at the docks. They even have picnic tables for us to feast on our fresh catch. Yes, this park does have a few full -time RV sites, which is not an issue. We've always booked a waterfront, back in site for our stays. The view of Alsea Bay is worth it and we can watch the tides go in and out, as well as watching crabbers coming in with their haul. (They offer boat and equipment rentals for crabbing.) There is a large field on the east side of the property for dry camping and waterfront tent camping. There you'll find a beach volleyball court, a tetherball and a basketball hoop as well. I love the abundance of birds and wildlife in this area. There is a fabulous little Bakery within walking distance of this park; "Pacific Sourdough," positively worth visiting. Great location - within walking distance to the beach, downtown and the bridge.

I don't recommend staying at their campground on 100 Harbor St. or renting an RV space at The Port Of Siuslaw Cushman. I've lived here for 2 1/2 years a year and a half under ownership of The Port Of Siuslaw and it's been an ongoing battle just to get them to follow landlord tenant laws. And they have no problem, violating your right to privacy or allowing other people to violate your right to privacy. A relative of the port manager who lives in the park, Port Of Siuslaw Cushman is being allowed to illegally survey me with electronic cameras posted at a different neighbors. Space and the Port manager has access to the view for this camera and is doing nothing about the illegal activity against me. this violates ORS 163.700 and ORS 163.701 because of ORS 163A.005. Also ORS 165.540. They are using this person and their cameras to try and find a way to evict me instead of following the landlord tenant laws. They shut down our laundry room almost a year ago. They shut down the women's bathroom for five straight days without providing alternative means to use the facility. Let's just say it's a terrible place to live and a terrible place to visit. And has refused to accommodate reasonable accommodations for a medical condition.
