The driver wasn't bad. He was careful and kind and delivered my bag to the front door. However, I should not have paid $85 for a ride less than 15 miles. With taxes, tip, and card fees, it was $106. For about 2 years I have been using Pooyan from Flat Cab. I have been a generous cash pay and always communicated clearly. Today I called him as I decided to go for an earlier flight. He indicated he couldn't get here in time so I told him I would take Uber. I have 3 other rides scheduled with him this week. I'm a patient with a critical appointment at my doctor's office. They are over an hour late to pick me up, and no one answers at their office. If I'm late or miss a medical appointment, my doctor's office charges me $100 fee for not canceling 24 hours in advance. These guys seem clueless. Like all cab companies, it's hit or miss. So far I've only had one driver with an attitude.

I was scheduled for pickup at 10:30Am to be driven to my 11AM Physical Therapy appointment. They arrived at 7:30 AM. I was unable to reach anyone at Flat Cab so I called Ride Connect...the agency that had scheduled me with them. They were able to reach someone and Flat Cab picked me up at 10:40. My return was scheduled for 12PM after PT. They arrived at 11:30 and called me twice.....interrupting my therapy session twice. At noon a cab was still waiting so I took the ride back to my home. Someone from Flat Cab called me at 12;36 and 1PM. I was unable to make him understand that everything was fine and I needed no further assistance from them. At 2PM I finally blocked his number from calling me again.. It's stressful enough having to rely on rides from others while recovering from surgery. My experience with Flat Cab was ridiculously stressful. The drivers were very polite but were not set up to transport me. Knee replacement has left me unable to bend my leg enough to get into the backseat of a small car. The front seat of both cabs was filled with all manner of cups, bags, trash etc. that had to be removed so that I could push back the seat and have a place to sit that I could enter and exit. Understandably I do not recommend Flat Cab for medical transport. read more

Saw a very incompetent driver pick up a lady next to my work. He literally just stopped in the middle of a drive way in a busy parking lot. I had to ask him to park over to one side as he sat there for over 20min. Didn't care that he was making it unsafe for others to go around him or his passenger he was picking up. Not sure where they get this guy, but this driver needs some common sense. If he doesn't car for the car parked out in the middle of a busy driveway, he was sure as hell not caring for the customers well being. Made a very dangerous situation. read more

Do NOT use this company. After a long day of travel from NYC and flights delayed, we arrived PDX at 3 am. We took this cab home - fare was supposed to be $65 based on miles traveled. Driver ran a stop sign entering a 4 lane highway. We did not intent to tip after that. He said he was going to charge $80. We were too tired to debate it. The charge came though our credit card and he charged us $110!!! This would have been a $50 ride via Lyft. Driver was unsafe, unethical, and charged us more than he said the fare was going to be and more than he said would be charged. We are fighting with our credit card company to correct the charge. read more

I would NOT use this cab service. The woman standing at the PDX "Ask me about travel options" booth. said the Cabs are comparable to Uber. So, I decided to try a cab. They charged me $123.30. I asked the guy how they charge, he said they have a meter. He doesn't have a meter, he manually calculated the rate on his phone. I went on my Uber app and found the same trip at the same time would have cost me $52.92. I won't use them again. read more

A couple of days ago we took a cab from the airport to a nearby location. our driver complained that it was too close, he preferred a ride to the city center where he could make more money and suggested we took a shuttle instead after a 6 hour flight. Once we reached our destination he demanded to be paid in cash and a tip and when we refused both he did not help us with our luggage. Really poor attitude from the driver. November 5th around 715 in the morning, the driver of car #72 almost caused a major crash during morning rush hour by speeding, swerving in and out of traffic, cutting off cars, tailgating and slamming on their brakes. I was only able to get the last part of the plate memorized, NXX. I called the company immediately and left a voice mail with the entire plate, car number and taxi registration on the back of the car. I drive to their office and it was closed. I never received a call back, like I requested. This company obviously doesn't care if their drivers put other purple in danger with their reckless driving. read more

Fantastic experience. Driver was waiting for us at PDX. He was friendly, loaded our bags for us and got on the road quickly. He drove very well, which is the most important part to me! He unloaded the bags and there were no surprises with the fare. All went smoothly. We usually try to take the train or get a ride from friends, but this is the best alternative to those options when they're not available. read more

My second time using Flat Cab and I would not recommend them. First time they came half an hour early to pick me up from doctor's appointment and said I was lucky they waited for me. Recently they were next cab up in taxi line at PDX. The fare was highest I have ever paid. I had to enter the amount for credit card reader and included a tip, then was asked if I wanted to tip (driver sad to say no), then another tax was added. I had to write my own receipt. I was trying to get a cab when I landed at PDX after midnight because Lyft and Uber had surge pricing, double the amount I usually pay. I saw a bunch of cabs lined up and I thought I would give it a shot. A Flat Cab driver flagged me down. The driver was friendly and helped with my bags. Once I got in and he asked me where I was going, they asked "how much will I pay?" I don't know how much I would pay, so I give a dollar amount that I usually get charged with Lyft/Uber to and from the airport. They chuckled and counteroffered. The whole time I was confused because I thought it was going to be a metered ride. I guess not? Anyways, it wasn't the best experience. If flat rate is how they operate and because of their company name, I wished they told me the price before I got into the cab. I wasn't happy with the counter offer, so he said I should go with Uber and Lyft because it will be cheaper (it wasn't). The whole experience felt weird. I don't ride taxis as much as I did in high school but if you are taking a late flight to PDX and the TriMet can't take you to your Oregon hood then Flat cab does the trick. I was unable to take a bus to my area so got no choice but to find a cab company. They beat out other taxi companies that cost a lot less. I was going to opt for limo service but these guys did a better job of making sure I get to Tualatin safe and sound. My driver was very professional and was very friendly with the service he offered. They will do whatever they can to make sure you have a smile on your face. Just like the cabs I took when I was in high school they are a lot more punctual than radio cab which has a bad rep. Taking the taxi is not dead yet. They still managed to charge me less than an Uber which since college graduation gave me very hefty amounts to pay. ::This NEEDS to be posted:: this morning , around 4:00 a.m. I was almost sideswiped by one of the FlatCab cars #23 I believe. We were going down the 5 freeway and the cab kept swerving from one side of the freeway to the other, at one point they slowed down almost to a stop in the middle of the freeway only to have it take off. We both I guess were heading in the same general direction because they exited right behind us towards Kruse Way then on to 72 Ave. almost taking out some construction cones during their departure from Kruse Way. Oh my goodness, boy do I love this taxi company. It was my first time today, using them, and boy was the experience pleasant. I used the app to hail and pay for my ride, and boy was it smooth. At first, the driver had no idea that I was visually impaired, and left, but then after I called dispatch, they were very understanding, and the dispatcher resent the cab, and I got whare I needed to go, and then back home here, all for a good fair. Now that we have taxi hailing apps now, we can now hail a cab, and pay for the ride up front, with Apple Pay, and not have to worry about forking out your wallet, and searching for your debit card. And what's even better, there is no surge pricing, this means, the prices are always consistent. And this is good. So in summary, support the local taxi industry, by using the Flat Cab app, to hail and pay for taxis. Oh, one thing I would like to add, my driver, Hussein, cab number 12, picked me up at the Cosmo Lounge inside, took me right back here to the meeting house apartments here in Sellwood, and walked me right to my door. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, and I would recommend that you have the Flat Cab app installed, just in case if Radio Cab, is going to be too long of a wait. read more

I hired Flat Cab to take me to the Portland, OR airport. The fare is one fee, so there are no surprises as to how much it cost. My driver was Mo. He was on time, used safe driving protocol and was a nice, friendly, hard working man. I called for my return ride. He was there waiting at the baggage claim as I walked from the gate.
