Morning Bess,I wanted to drop a note about my recent experience at Gresham Ford.I started researching for a used truck a month and a half ago, determine what I wanted and what I could afford.  More recently I decided I wanted to test drive the truck I wanted with all three engine options, the 2.7 and 3.5 Six cylinders and the 5.0 eight cylinder. After poking around on auto trader and doing more research on dealerships I decided on the three dealerships I would go to test drive, Gresham Ford being one of them.  I reached out to all three after looking through the inventory each had. Van Austin was BY FAR the quickest to reach back out to me.  He walked me through setting up a time to come in and sent me additional information on the truck I was looking at.  We exchanged several emails and set a time. After We arrived at your dealership, I could tell immediately that Van was different than anyone I have bought a vehicle from, new or used.  The truck was in being detailed when we arrived, it had just arrived he said.  We test drive and I really liked it, it had all the features I was looking for as well. We were planning to leave your place and go to the last dealership we had an appointment with.  Van, in a not high-pressure way kept us talking and the more we talked the more I liked his transparency and honesty as well as liking what he was saying, looking for how we could make it work on this truck. We had lots of questions, he answered them all.  He had lots of questions and we answered all of those.  Simply based on our rather short relationship with Van, we decided to make an offer on the truck.  Which we did and that included our desire to have a new set of tires installed.  We knew that was a reach because they had about half the tread left, we asked anyway. He came back and said y'all could meet our offer but could not do the tires.  And while he unable to replace the tires, he did offer to let me replace them later at Gresham Ford cost.  While he did not know at the time I have a history with tires, which is why I asked in the first place. I had a terrible accident when I was a brand new driver at age 16.  The car had pretty bald tires on it and one ended up blowing out, we rolled over 3 times and landed upside down in a ditch.  We were all lucky to be alive, that is why I  am overly attentive about them.  I also generally change them out when 40-50% of the tread is left, simply for peace in my own mind.  That accident nearly killed me and three of my best friends. Anyway, Van was a great sales person for us and not what me and my wife are used to, having shopped for a lot of cars together over our 34 years together.  He made this purchase, by far, the best experience we have ever had, new or used vehicles. One thing Van did immediately that I appreciated was to respond when my wife, who is in a high covid risk category, asked about folks in the show room where not wearing masks.  Van immediately spoke to his team members and each masked right up.  That small gesture was much appreciated, even though all social distancing rules were already being followed. We then spent some time with Greg on the paperwork end of things.  I always get nervous at this phase of the dance.  In 1989 I had worked with a sales rep for several hours negotiating a price on a brand new F150 lariat.  Long story short, when I got to the finance person, he ended up tanking the sale and I walked away.  He must have been getting commission on bed liners and undercoating because he would not stop trying to sell them to me after I repeatedly told him I wasn't buying either.  Undercoating on cars, funny to think back on how car buying used to be back in the day . Greg was a great surprise, and a great relief that he never brought up bedliners (it had a spray in already) or undercoating.  Our experience with Greg was not like ANY of my previous experiences buying vehicles.  He was able to answer all our questions and was extremely pleasant, very knowledgeable and understanding with all of our questions, even after I signed in the print name block on two separate places apologies again Greg. Well, I just wanted to share our super positive truck buying experience at Gresham Ford.  Being relatively new to the PNW, we immigrated from Florida six years ago, I was hoping to find a dealership I could have a trusting relationship and now I have. OK, just letting everybody know if you ever need a vehicle worked on no matter what never take it to Gresham Ford. My diesel truck got taken in there three years ago when the fuel station put the wrong fuel in it Gresham Ford misdiagnosed it and said all we need to do is flush the system which all diesel mechanics at not only Ford shops, but diesel shops as well say there policy is that you have to replace the whole fuel system, including injectors and they paid for it and then they said your truck is good to go well three months later, my truck broke down again and because I live out in the country and don't use it all the time I thought maybe it was a few other things so it's fat and I tried to work on it myself and have other people help me over the next couple years and I got tired of it not working so I finally paid a mechanic. He came out and looked at it and told me you have a hole in one of your pistons caused by the wrong fuel in your truck so when I took a depression Ford again they said we have to have the truck in here so I stopped towing it to another shop to rebuild a motor and took a depression Ford again and after a month of having it Ryan, their service department manager is doing the same thing trying to get out of it and find every excuse why it's not their fault and giving me the excuse. Oh well you waited three years and I told him I didn't have the ability to get it over to you or realize it was the same problem and he said too bad we're not doing anything about it. It is your fault and you should've taken care of it a long time ago . They are now trying to say that it is not their problem and the only thing he said is you can come get your truck out of here after I told him that I guess I will have to file legal action against Ford if they are not gonna back their Service Dept.. . don't get me wrong. They have some people working there that are good people and try to help but it sounds like management is typical Corprate trying to get out of anything won't stand behind their word and trying to find every excuse why they don't wanna stand behind their work I'm sorry a few years ago. They had a service advisor that was horrible and not doing her job but just because she no longer works there doesn't mean you don't need to stand behind there mistakes. This is absolutely ridiculous. I've been more than patient over a three year period. I'm told that Gresham Ford is a family owned Ford company. That always does the right thing and only cares that their customers are happy unfortunately, I'm learning this may not be true I'm very disappointed and that the way their Service Dept. handles their business. The only ones that we're actually nice and tried to help me where Shane and Michele, but unfortunately they are not the ones that make the decision. We have bought multiple vehicles from this company and I will never buy a penny from them again after this. Unless they make this right, I will continue to not only go to the news channel. I will go to the Better Business Bureau on file claim with them along with find a claim against their insurance since they are choosing not to make this right. And unfortunately, for them, they will probably end up paying a lot more than it would cost just to get the motor fixed on their part and it would've saved them the embarrassment of knowing how horrible they treated one of their loyal customers very disappointing. Please everybody I know like and share this post as I hope it gets out to everybody and they see how horrible the Service Dept. at this dealership is. I am only adding one star because I cannot add zero or negative stars. If this is the way they're gonna run their company. I advised nobody to ever purchase anything from them again. read more

AVOID this place at ALL costs. Do NOT buy or bring your car in for SERVICE. These people provide the WORST customer service I have ever been involved with. Jordan (in the Service center) is a complete (for lack of a better word) MORON. Cher, the service Department Manager, is rude, combative and ill-informed of how to conduct customer service. Ian & Brian are USELESS in the roles in this company. I really do not understand how this place has been in business this long. I had a truly unfortunate incident with my vehicle and had to have it towed into the service center. I spoke with Jordan the day before my car was being delivered via tow truck and explained the entire situation. He did seem sympathetic. The following day when my car was delivered and they where supposed to call me to discuss how we wanted to handle the repairs, I didn't receive a call that entire day. So I called the tow yard, they confirmed it was delivered that morning about 9am, it is not 4pm. Hmmm, why no call from them?? So, I call to find where my car is. They have NO IDEA!! It's not in the system and NO ONE I can get on the phone knows anything about it! Jordan, of course, has left for the day so I can't even talk to him. Ian, who was too busy to talk over the phone with me to find my car says he'll call me back in 1/2 hour. 1 hour later I call back and DEMAND Ian find my car. Which, he does, 20 minutes Later while I am on hold this entire time!!! So, my car was delivered via a tow truck. "Some" mechanic (they don't know who) signs off on it but DOESN'T tell anyone THAT a CAR WAS DELIVERED AND ASK WHAT SHOULD WE DO WITH IT!!!! So I had to track my own car down at a Dealership that I informed ahead of time of the situation!!!! Wow. This all happens on Thursday. So now its Friday all Day goes by and I still get NO call/update on my vehicle. So I call when I have a moment from work and they apparantly looked at the car sitting there all day long but rather than call me to figure out what to do, they just stared at it, sitting on their lot, (I imagine scratching their heads) trying to figure out what to do. The issue, was the key was not left with the vehicle. The tow truck driver said he didn't need it, and my insurance agent and I were supposed to look at the car together the first day it arrived at Gresham Ford so even he, my agent, told me to just keep the key as we would be meeting up together to look at it. BUT they, Gresham Ford, NEVER CALLED TO EVEN TRY TO FIND OUT ABOUT THE KEY!!! I can't imagine how Jordan, who knew my car was coming, couldn't have been told that my car was there and doesn't have a key??? Just complete LACK of communication between the greasy wheels over there. So Saturday I deliver the key to the service center. Explain the Situation to Ian. Monday I get a call at work asking me "Where my key is"? Really? Really?? So now I am COMPLETELY over these people. I am done with them. Regretting EVER have purchasing this Vehicle from these people. They clearly are inept and can NOT perform the simplest of functions. So I get in contact with Cher, the service Department manager, on the phone and she is just flat out Combative. You can hear it in her voice. She was just rude and mean and uncaring or sympatheitc to the situation. Said "Well then Take your Car Somewhere Else". So I did and WILL NEVER do business with these people again. And I recommend you HEED MY WARNING AND AVOID AVOID AVOID. YOU WILL REGRET EVER DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE THE EPITOME OF WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS INDUSTRY. read more

Very, VERY Disappointed. We purchased 2 Vehicles from here, One used, one Brand NEW. And I have regretted it from the start. Well at first, Brian our sales guy was actually quite nice (the only thing worth noting that was positive). But after that It ALL went Downhill!! The service center employees are WORTHLESS. My used car was supposed to go through some "90 point inspection" or whatever they call it, and upon picking up the vehicle which they said would have a full tank of gas, in fact Didn't! it was on EMPTY (less gas then when we test drove the vehicle and then bought it??)!! There was almost NO Antifreeze/Coolant, the Brake Fluid was beyond LOW, and the Window washer Fluid was COMPLETELY empty (I mean come on! Window washer fluid they fill up for FREE at Jiffy Lube!!). So not much of an inspection I would say, or, perhaps they DON"T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING OVER HERE?! Then about 3 days after purchasing the vehicle it started making this thudding noise while turning. Tried to bring into Service Center but ONLY have "techs" on Monday thru Friday 8 - 4:30. Don't bother taking your car there on the weekend, as there are no "Techs" which apparently means there is No body qualified to work or look at your vehicle if it needs repair!! So, now I have to pay $550 to get that Thudding fixed and my rear brakes fixed (which started Squealing about 3 weeks after purchasing the vehicle that only has 42k miles on it!). I tried to work with these people on getting my car in to them and seeing if they would look at it to be covered under some kind of "Good Customer Service warranty" as all these things started shortly after buying the vehicle, but NOPE! They don't care about their customers. They just want your MONEY. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! AND AS SUCH WILL NO LONGER BE GETTING MY BUSINESS. I just wish someone would have warned me before Hand! In the spring time, my 2003 Ford F250 6.0L with over 300K miles broke down at Multnomah Falls. I had to go through the inconvenience of having it towed but I wanted it to go to the Ford Service Department for repairs. I called ahead of time and was able to book an appointment for first thing the next day. Karl contacted me promptly in the morning after the diesel mechanic had a look at it. We discussed prices and repairs that fit into my tight budget. When I went to pick the truck up later that day, Karl took the time to not only explain to me what had malfunctioned, but went above and beyond to actually show me. (This was really helpful since I am a kinetic learner.) I recently took the truck in for some preventative maintenance (oil-change, brakes, etc.). It was then, that I decided I needed to get something that required a little less up keep. Karl personally escorted me to the Sales Department and introduced me to Van Austin. After going over my preferences, Van was able to get me a loan for a brand-new vehicle with low interest rate as a first-time buyer, a college student, and a veteran, with a thin credit file. Even though I was sad to lose my diesel truck, I'm really enjoying my 2019 Ford Fusion. The whole process was smooth and effortless. Through it all, I had my 5 year old son with me, he also got a new car. A Mustang Lego set that he was able to assemble and keep. This was a thoughtful gift provided to him by the owner who overheard his excitement while gushing over the BULLIT and Cobra on display followed by the disappointment and sadness when he discovered we weren't getting a Pony Car to take home with us. I've always been impressed with the quality work provided too me at the Service Department, and now I am equally impressed and satisfied with the attention and quality with Sales. read more

April of 2020, we unexpectedly stumbled into the Gresham Ford parking lot to simply re-set our GPS system while parked.With no intentions or thoughts of even buying a new vehicle. We were approached by a salesman, who introduced himself as Sam Baxter. This began a truck buying experience that I will not forget. Sam was very professional, knowledgeable and more importantly friendly, respectful and was not a "hard sell, pushy salesman). Quite the opposite, very "chill" and laidback. Long Story short, we returned one week later, looked up Sam, chatted with him about a Transit or possibly a Truck. Sam listened and then went to work to locate the exact truck, equipped the way we wanted. My wife and I felt that we were highly valued as customers.We bought a new Ford F-150 Lariat Ecoboost. WE LOVE IT! We've been back for an oil change along with additional add-on accessories, we were given a loaner car for the afternoon as they worked on our truck. I highly recommend this dealership, especially Sam, he's outstanding! Also honorable mentions: Alex, Troy, Mike and Cher. We'll definitely be back when we are ready for our next vehicle! read more

First I want to disclose that I work for Gresham Ford in Fleet Sales but I really wanted to recognize our service department. I met a woman today that had multiple horror stories of visiting various mechanics and shop and felt helpless in regards to her vehicle maintenance and repair. She felt like her situation was hopeless. At that moment I realized that I am spoiled and have taken for granted our wonderful service department. They have prepared me for multiple road trips, told me what maintenance I can wait on and what is really dangerous. I am truly blessed to work with such competent and caring professionals. Thank you for giving me one less thing to worry about. I told the woman about our service department and let her know we are open until midnight, she still had a lot of shopping to do, and I hope that she comes in and gets acquainted with the Gresham Ford Service Department - that way she will have less to worry about too! read more

Thank you Bess for replying to my review. I picked my car up from the shop last night. Thank you for fixing it at not extra charge. I haven't had a chance to try the wipers yet as it has not rained but I am sure it will soon. I hope you understand my frustration with the entire situation. UPDATE I went back to Gresham Ford on Monday morning spoke to Greg, I let him know the new multifunction switch was having the same issue. He let me know at that time that the broken part has arrived and they were ready to place it in my vehicle. He also asked me if I was able to leave the car for a bit for them to run some other tests and try to get it figured out. Greg called me back the rain censor was broken. I guess someone has replaced my windshield with a generic one and never bothered to put a censor. They ordered the censor and replaced it for me all at no extra charge. Interesting reading of a few reviews by a few customers, Having been in business before, we have encountered customers that could not be satisfied regardless of what you did to resolve any problems. Frankly, we have had nothing but great experiences in dealing with Gresham Ford. Our first was a 95 Ranger....handed down to our Grandson and still going strong with over 200,000 miles on it. The second was a 250 Super Duty Diesel (2007) that pulled our camper, hauled rocks, mulch and was also used as our only vehicle. The truck got excellent mileage, and we never had any problems with it. After selling the camper we decided we could go back to a smaller vehicle. Went back to Gresham Ford and dealt with Sam Rich, Preston, and AJ. They went above and beyond to see that everything went great as we purchased a new Escape (Titanium) that we are loving to drive. read more

It never fails! When I need service, I can always count on Scott, Ryan and Greg to make sure the things I need are handled. My wife is driving up to Seattle next week.... I stopped in to have them change the oil and replace the brakes because my wife heard them squeak. I dropped it off and told them to do whatever it needed to make sure she was safe. Next thing you know, they called and said it was ready. They changed the oil, rotated tires and checked the fluids, but what impressed me the most was that I told them if it needed brakes to go ahead and take care of it! Well instead of just changing them and taking my money, they said they were just fine and explained what was making them squeak! Honesty goes a long way in my book! I am proud to have them around and helping me keep my vehicles in great shape! I highly recommend them!!! read more

My wife and I needed an SUV with room for our dog and baby, but didn't have a lot of money and considered leasing. We were helped by an awesome sales guy named Jared, who was very relaxed and understanding of our needs and wants. Jared made us feel comfortable asking questions and did not pressure us at all. He even watched our dog while we test drove one. I don't usually leave reviews but this guy is exceptional. We did not end up buying anything from him, but yesterday (4-5 months later) I happened to see him in their service center. He said hello to me BY NAME and was happy to see me. I'm very pleased with the service I've received from the Quick Lane service department. I always find the staff professional, courteous, and friendly. It doesn't matter if I encounter Jessie S. during the day or the gentleman behind the counter at 8pm in the evening. I appreciate the late hours which I've taken advantage of on several occasions. They've serviced both my 2005 Mustang and my sons 2007 F-150, and being a member of the Ford Owner Advantage program definitely has its benefits. Just returned from Gresham Ford and was so impressed that I had to write my first review ever. I've been looking for a new car recently and have been completely beaten down by the two hour procedures at the local car dealerships. Gresham Ford was so different in the most positive way. It was quick , no games played, and a great price. In today's market I thought the days of a terrific car buying experience were long gone. If your in the market for a ford this is your car agency. Taylon and crew were wonderful, fast and efficient! Very friendly and courteous. Only one thing I found out after I left was that you use 5/20w oil. I didn't ask that question in the beginning, I just asked for synthetic blend so I would not have to get another oil change for 5000 miles as my owners manual suggests. Your sticker says I need to get another change in 3000 miles. This is the first time I've encountered a lower mileage change with synthetic blends. Just bought a 2012 Ford Fusion from Gresham ford. Such great service! Most everything was done over the phone or via Internet. So all I needed to do when I got there was to drive the car to make sure it was what I wanted and sign all the loan papers! Everyone was very nice and knowledgeable! Well informed staff and very dedicated. They offer some of the best pricing in the area and have a quick process to purchase a vehicle. Probably the fastest I've purchased a vehicle. I was in the dealership close to closing hours and they still showed me several vehicles I was highly interested in and narrowed it to one vehicle. Another dealership did not offer a helping within one hour of their closing time, but the staff at Ford Gresham are here to help you.
