So I'm behind in my reviews as I have returned to this bike shop twice now for repairs. Both times I was treated with courtesy and respect as well as a great sense of humor. I was never "upsold" and repairs were completed faster than I expected as well as for a very fair price. Great business and professional knowledgeable people. read more

Come here cause it was close to home. I needed some new bike tires and helmet. No cared what I was doing or that I even walked in. No asked me if I needed anything or help. Horrible customer service. It's like some people open up a retail store all about customers just to be rude to them. I ended leaving and bought my stuff from another store rather waste some gas money and get some customer service. read more

Nice shop, big selection, friendly service. I went in today (Sunday) to buy a new helmet, seat and bag for my bike. Shhhh, don't tell, but lately I have been riding without a helmet because I CANNOT stand mine--it chokes me and is reallllly uncomfortable. No longer! The guy working (can't remember his name) took his time to help fit me for a helmet and explain the merits of different seats. All this while juggling several other customers, including those wanting flats repaired. He was kind and unhurried. Great service! Prices seem great! This will be my new shop of choice for all my biking needs! read more

Been in quite a few times over the years with good results. A few weeks ago I stopped in to get a few spokes for my Scott Genius. While I was there Ken ( the owner ) made a remark about everybody digging out their old rust bikes for repair. He was referring to my spoke request and he made it quite clear. I brushed it off as he was fighting the tooling equipment that cuts down a spoke and rolls new threads on the end. A few moments later Ken refers to my Scott as a Walmart bike. At this point I decided I was done being treated like a burden to a business that survives on "customer". I asked for MY spoke example back and at that point he had been successful at making one usable one. I was told they would ordsome in. Two weeks later I stopped by ( they are conveniently close ) to get the rest needed for my bike. On this visit I tried to avoid Ken although when hearing of the spoke size needed, my Scott was again referred to as a "department store bicycle". As you can imagine I personally am done supporting a business that the owner can not seem to understand who keeps the doors open. If you absolutely have to go in, do your best to avoid Ken as he has no clue what customer service is. His employees are great and easy to work with. Ken not so much. read more

Lousy communication and very un-organized. I was selling a bicycle on eBay and I had no time due to a very busy week. So I came to their shop as a last resort attempt to have them package my bicycle so I could ship it. I was suppose to receive a call within that week to pick up the bike but the call never came. I went into the shop and apparently they had forgotten to call. At least it was packaged I thought... So I send out the bicycle and I get a dispute the same day saying the bicycle was damaged the seat was stuck in the bike frame. I said to myself how could this be, I heard nothing of this. Apparently the person who packaged the bike left a note in the box for the buyer to find but told me nothing of what had occurred costing me $120 in shipping. Not sure if they are jealous of online vendors or not but they pull some very fishy stuff off. I had called the shop to ask why I was never told and they said the bike was fine, when I told the buyer this he had shown me a picture of the note with the guys name on it and even a recording with the guy from the shop admitting that it was broken. Be very weary in dealing with these guys. read more

Ordered the wrong part for my exercise bike so I took it in to let the expert take care of it. He not only fixed it he traded me straight on my incorrect part for the correct part that he installed so all I had to pay was for a little labor. I'll be there customer from now on. read more

I cannot recommend this store enough! I am a "Soccer Mom" turned "BMX Mom". I'm not even sure when this really happened!!? lol. Yesterday, I went in to buy a set of very specific forks for my son. I walked in and asked for said forks. Then I heard "are you *****'s mom?" I said, "yes" quite shocked. I've driven my son there many times, but haven't ever gone inside. Not only did the two awesome young men help me with the fork situation (i'll get to that in a minute), they helped me prank my son for his birthday, which was perfect! The fact that they knew his name and which forks he had been after, obviously made my day. Now, THAT is customer service. Since I was too late to get the limited edition forks my son had been after, I just got a gift cert. Today, one of the awesome guys traded my son for his current forks for the ones he wanted. Absolutely amazing, made a 15 year olds day and a memory in the process. I have been a business for owner/consultant for many years. I have read the reviews regarding the owner not being very pleasant. That may be the case, i didn't deal with him. Regardless, he/she knows how to hire the right people for the right job and that isa huge part of running a business. These guys are awesome, know what they are talking about and won't sell you something just for the sake of selling it. They absolutely know BMX. I cannot speak to road bikes, as I don't have one. If you want decent prices, honest direction and to feel like you actually matter: Go there!!! I haven't been so impressed in years. Well done, guys and thank you!!!! read more

Great and quick. I read some yelp reviews before I came in. Many reviews said that it was terrible customer service but I was pleasantly surprised. When I came in I got greeted, when I told them what I needed they got me everything real quick. While I was waiting for them to find the correct part I needed. Other employees would walk up and ask if I was being helped, and finally when I got everything and was heading out three different employees told me bye and wished me a good day. So yea I loved it and will definitely be coming back. read more

After reading other people's reviews I guess I will need to give these guys another shot. A younger dark haired guy helped me he was very polite, checked my ID against my credit card, did all the right stuff. I just needed supplies, no repairs. The owner seemed a little busy and though I got served, his service wasn't exactly warm and fuzzy. I'm a new cyclist and am starting to race. I have a race this weekend and needed stuff for my kit. I bought my bike from a big box store where the repairs have been shoddy. On several of the organized rides I've been on the mechanics have been from small shops and have been amazing so I thought I would try someone local. Can't say my first impression was good. I think I will go back and give them another shot, but I will also shop around. read more

They got me a bike that was priced right for my needs, and showed me Upgrades that will make it better, I passed on those upgrades but low and behold they were right going in to get the better seat and bigger peddle. cool shop. read more

I have been there many times and the only thing they are good for is tubes, they are cheap. I waited two weeks for a fitting just to find out they couldn't find it, they insulted my bike the first time I went in, tried to sell me whole bikes when I was just looking for a fork, and most recently failed to notify me that a part was finished and when I finally got it home they didn't do the work they were paid for. This is the most unprofessional shop I have ever been in (of any kind) and once my part is fixed, properly, I will never go back. There are simply too many good bike shops in Portland to put up with this place. read more

Okay so I got back into cycling in the last couple of months and inherited a vintage Motobecane road bike and love it but here's the thing it needs new "tires" so on our way back, my husband and I from downtown Gresham we stopped by the shop and was told by the older gentlemen that the size we needed was in the front. We stood by the counter for a good fifteen minutes waiting for the man behind it to at least acknowledge that we were even waiting. Well that didn't happen in fact we roamed around the shop and then came back to the front "desk" again and still nothing. He was helping a woman with a bike that had been injured with a knee brace or leg brace of some sort (just including this to let you know what time it was and that we were actually there). I guess being a Gresham native for the last 42 years of my life I didn't realize there could be such rude people. Oh well I will not be going back to that shop I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Brought my mountain bike into these guys and asked for a full inspection and to fix anything that is wrong. They replaced a tire and sent me out the door. Being in a rush, I took their word that I should feel safe having them inspect it and sign off. Before I could get out the door, I noticed my seat that has a hydraulic component to it was broken. They said they missed that and kept the bike for weeks. They called me later and said the bike was ready to pick up. As I arrived, I checked the seat and IT STILL DIDNT WORK! They kept it for a few more weeks and finally got the seat marginally working. I asked them to assure me nothing else was missed and they said they went through it and all was good. A week later I went on a ride and my chain broke, was stranded and had to walk 5 miles home. I took the bike into another shop and they said that the chain had excessive wear along with the sprockets and should without question been replaced. There was also a missing bolt where the pedal attaches to the gears. Anyone that is in need of work done to their bike should go anywhere but here. I feel lucky I didn't get hurt from their lack of doing their job, missing something and the bike falling apart going down a hill. read more

I had them work on my bike, they had to put my chain on and align my sprockets they got the chain on but did not align my sprockets but they did mess with my brakes and they made them wores they unscrewd my brake caliber and it wobbled they took off my metal spindle bolt and replaced it with a scratched up plastic one. I had my brother pick up the bike for me I saw the problems and went back to the store and the older man saw me come in with the bike he looked away when I walked up to him he was not looking,like he was trying to avoid me when got his attention he started denying he worked on my bike when it was that same bike my brother just picked up then I told him that my back wheel felt loose and he went straight for the brake calibre he mest with earlier. And I told them to give me back my old parts back but they said they got rid of them. We had one price deal with the new parts and they did not put new parts on but still took full price. So I just think they just mess with the bikes so you will come back to them. I'm never coming back. read more

This was an awful experience foe me. I went in with a new bike i had boughten used hoping to get some answers about a few things that weren't working correctly and I was treated as if I was a complete idiot for not knowing what they knew about bikes. On top of that they performed a service on my bike without telling me what it was they were doing, or what the price would be for the service (and belittled me the entire time for not knowing what was wrong prior). This is the first time that I have ever been to a business and left never wanting to come back regardless. If you go into this customer service-less establishment just know that you will be treated like garbage. There are many other bike shops around that are much more friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. read more

Went in there yesterday to see about getting something fixed on my husband's bike. The older man behind the counter was so rude and unfriendly I will never go back. I walked in who to talk to about service issues and he ignored me, mumbled a whole bunch of stuff as he rumbled around under the desk looking for something, he starts cussing for some reason (as I am holding my young daughter in my arms), then finally comes over and starts off by saying we're five days out on repairs. If I had had a friendly experience I might have thought about waiting five days, but after that customer service there's no way. Took it out to Sandy Bicycle, where I found a very friendly and helpful owner who will be getting it back today to me. read more

Been going to them for since 1994 after moving to Gresham I used to frequent the bike gallery and Bobs bike center when i raced BMX years ago i must say Gresham bike center has WAY more customer service skills then any other shop i have been in to lately fair prices on parts and services in fact i went in a few months ago to get a just a tube to fix my roommates MT bike to tune it up for him and get it working again as he wanted to start riding again I was surprised at $3.00 price for a tube cant even get one for that price at Wal-mart they ended up making more then the $3.00 ended up buying two used 26 in tires with 90% tread for $5.00 and 2 new tubesnew seat and post for his bike in fact one of the used tires had a good tube in it with a presta valve they traded me one of the tubes for that since i could not use it with m Schrader valve valve pump read more
