    Spiderman McFarlane run

Good guys working there and a great selection of back issues! They had a bunch of modern and some Bronze Age comics! Decent keys at good prices!

Spectacular Spider-Man figures which was a major surprise to see

The workers seemed pretty friendly, the store was small but had an Incredible selection of comic books and things I did not expect to be there such as variants, holographic covers and rare figures. Definitely would come back when given the chance

Absolutely love this place, every single time I come to this comic Book store I feel so comfortable and welcome. When there's something I'm looking for I know I count on these guys to help me out and even if they don't have it they are always helpful in ordering it for me. Thank you for always being such a great store to come to and always accommodating my needs I will always support my local businesses.

I'll never return here. They claimed they would buy a captain America comic book from me and never did. Their 20% off is bullshit because they charge too much for comic books. The owners have an I don't care attitude. They don't use social media which is pathetic in this day and age. Go to Monster Comics and you can get the same comic books for $1. Go to All About Books and Comics and you can get a better deal. This place sucks and they're assholes that think they know everything about comics. Oh and their toys suck go on offer up for toys

First visit to a real comic book store! My son did not want to leave.

Collector's Choice Comics is my go-to comic shop whenever I'm in the Tempe area. The store is…read morealways well stocked with both new releases and back issues, and it's the only shop I've found that consistently carries a large inventory of Spawn back issues, including several key issues. I've checked out other comic shops around the Valley, but none of them seem to have the Spawn selection that Collector's Choice does. They also have a great selection of graded comics and variants, which makes browsing even more fun. One thing to know before visiting: new releases and back issues are handled as separate transactions. So if you bring a mixed stack to the counter, expect to do one transaction for the new books and another for the back issues. I've never asked why they do it that way, but after shopping here several times, it's just something I expect. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming. During my last visit, the owner was interacting with customers by offering 25% off any item in the store to anyone who could correctly answer his random comic trivia question. Nobody got it right while I was there, but it was a really fun way to engage with customers. For the curious, the question was: "What was the final issue of Conan the Barbarian published by Marvel?" Answer: #275. If you're a comic collector--especially a Spawn fan--this place is absolutely worth checking out.

We stopped in to pick up a…read morefew packs, and the staff made the experience even more memorable by generously giving him an extra pack as a birthday surprise. That simple gesture meant a lot and made his day even more special. The store itself was very clean, well-organized, and had a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, and there were plenty of tables and seating areas where people could sit down, play games, trade, or open their new cards. Their selection is incredible. Whether you're looking for trading card game products, comic books, accessories, collectibles, or just about any other hobby-related item, they have an impressive variety to choose from. It's the kind of store where you can spend a long time browsing because there's always something new to discover. Another thing I appreciated was their pricing. I compared prices with another card shop nearby, and Amazing Discoveries was noticeably more competitive. From booster packs and sealed boxes to even many of the single cards, their prices were generally better, making it an easy choice for where I'd rather spend my money. Overall, Amazing Discoveries delivered everything you'd want in a local game store: a huge selection, fair prices, a clean and welcoming environment, and staff who genuinely care about their customers. The birthday surprise for my son was the icing on the cake, and it's a memory he won't forget. We'll definitely be back!

There is no reason that a collector has to ask 4+ times to look through the card binders. I collect…read moreYuka Morii cards and asked if any were in the binders. I was told that one binder has damaged cards and the other binder has mostly modern, which somehow means that these cards likely wouldn't be in these. I hear this multiple times at trade shows where vendors directly tell me they do not have cards I'm looking for, and then I point multiple out directly in their case. After pressing a fourth time I'm handed the damaged binder and I find a Yuka Morii card I needed for my collection. I understand this is a combo tabletop and trading card store, but why have so many barriers between the collector and the cards that they are looking for in which 95% of them exist far behind the counters in storage? The only way to find out if they have your cards is by going through an extremely rudimentary search system in the back of the store on machines that feel like they are from the early 2000's where you have to spell the Pokemon's name absolutely perfectly with no way to search by artist. It's disappointing that customers ready to spend money have to interact with card shop workers who make it seem like a grand inconvenience to show cards. After visiting and experiencing 12+ other shops in the valley, my experience with this shop irked me more and more to the point of writing this review. If you go a couple doors down to The Trading Card Club or to Baxter's in Queen Creek, the barrier between the collector and their cards is a pane of glass. On top of that, you feel the passion from the workers. This is the ideal setup. Anything that is more than a pane of glass, such as a bad search system or a worker getting a card from storage for you, lowers the likelihood of that customer coming back and feeling like they'll discover something they are looking for.
