Got a pizza to go a couple of weeks ago. Called it in ahead of time and it was ready by the time I got there. The pizza was pear and prosciutto and it was amazing. Overall, I would go back in a heartbeat. The pizza was on the thinner side which is perfect for me. read more

Was it amazing? No. Was the food good? It was alright. Went here with some friends and we ordered the following: Chicken Parmigiana: huge portion, nice flavor. Spinach Artichoke Dip: delicious! Linguini O.G.T.B: lacked TONS of flavor, and tons of tomatoes, was mostly just pasta with a couple toppings. Baked Ziti: drenched in sauce, was a bit overwhelming but it wasn't bad. Caesar Salad: solid caesar salad, nothing special. Fresh Squeezed Lemonade: delicious! Paid $130 for 3 entrees, 1 appetizer, 1 salad, 2 lemonades and a glass of wine. All in all, the spinach dip and the lemonade were the favorites of the night. I wouldn't come back on my own, but if someone invited me I wouldn't say no. I feel for the price the food could have tasted much better. (Charged me $10 for maybe 5 pieces of chicken in my linguini) Although the portions were big, it did not make up for the lack of seasoning and flavor. Service was regular, nothing special. Ambience is cute and casual. Outdoor dining also has plenty of heaters which I liked. read more

I feasted here April 9th for my bday and had to be rolled out because I overate. The food was incredible, the service was great and I had to post a review as this was my families first time in over a year eating at a restaurant and Gregorios was worth the wait! They accommodated our "covid fears" and allowed us to sit far from others outside and the waiters were all practicing safety measures that went along with the CDC guidelines. If you're interested in my food recommendations they are: - cheese sticks -garlic bread -shrimp parmigiana -fettuccine alfredo -egg plant parmigiana read more

We've been going here for several years now. I didn't realize I hadn't written a review. But with all this time available during quarantine, I'm doing it now!!! Gregorios is AMAZING! 2020 has been difficult, and we were lucky enough to eat there the first weekend they re-opened. We like to sit outside, because you feel like your sitting in the trees ( in a good way). The food is so delicious and you get big portions! If you order a full serving, you'll be taking home leftovers. For starters, I recommend the bruschetta , caprese or chilled mushrooms. The chilled mushrooms are a must!! Their bread and butter/oil are wonderful, I have to be careful not to fill up on it before the food. My husband mixes it up on entrees, and enjoys their pizza and beer selections. My favorite dish is the House Specialty, Pasta de Cabia. We've ordered delivery before and the food is just as amazing. During quarantine the delivery is nice, not as great as being at the restaurant but at least you get the great food!! read more

Made a reservation for eight on Father's Day kind of last-minute and they took us without a problem. Our table was ready when we arrived. The food was delicious. The service was great. We really enjoyed our time as a family at Gregorio's. Definitely will be back. read more

One of the top meals in town we had during our visit. Finding parking and the restaurant itself was a bit tough, but well worth the trouble. Right away with the bread we knew things were going to be good. It was uber soft and was used for many soppings of multiple sauces. Meatball Parmesan - all beef meatballs and some addictive red sauce Alfredo and Chicken - another sauce we couldn't stop eating. Split plate no charge. Dessert - The cannoli was $9, but it was presented nicely and was a good ending for a great meal. read more

Take out went great. Food was ready and hot! Bread appetizers were great. Spaghetti and meatballs very tasty. So why not a five star? Drowning the spaghetti in sauce. Would have preferred sauce on the side for the take out. Did I mention the breads were great tho? read more

I posted a great review for the eggplant parmesan before as we have been a long time customer for this dish, and we used to drive 30 minutes to get there, but the experience last October, 2024, was not good. The portion got smaller, and the tomato sauce didn't taste the same at all. My husband said, he almost couldn't eat it. Did this restaurant change recently?? read more

We are from Arizona. Was in Carlsbad, Ca. last month for my son's soccer tournament. Made reservations at Gregorio's for something new for us. From the moment we walked in it was a great feeling. Very nice location, nice ambiance. Service was normal. Ordered pizza and was beyond disbelief that they sold me the pizza I received. Did not look appetizing, some vegetables were not even properly cut, lacked flavor could definitely tell its frozen as it tasted watery, bad dough, not salted just in general possibly the worst pizza I have had in Southern California. Costco Pizza definitely taste better read more

Good portions. Good food. Great service. Sauces are great. We tried Alfredo and Lasagna. Pizza dough is really good.

I was skeptical of finding good Italian food in California. New York, sure. Chicago, of course. But Cali? Hmmm... I was wrong - this place did not disappoint. Service was speedy, even on a Saturday night. The price was fair for the location, service, and quality. It is a little crowded, but the management seems to make it work well. I'd go back. . read more

Excellent atmosphere. Outside heaters kept us warm while our server was friendly, helpful, and made all the right suggestions for our meal choices. Generous sized portions and delicious food made this meal a treat. Upstairs seating and dog friendly were both bonuses. Service was efficient and not rushed and we felt welcome and wanted. Wasn't noisy even though they were full on a Saturday night. Would definitely come back. read more

We were visiting Oceanside & wanted Italian for dinner. A Quick google search and Gregorio's popped up. This is only 10 mins from the Oceanside pier. It is well worth the drive. We walked up and loved the "peaceful protest" sign out front & we were greeted by the hostess who quickly sat us. Our server was Hannah. Her attentiveness was impeccable; she came to the table several times and had the sweetest smile. This is thee best Italian food I probably ever had. The flavor of their sauce was amazing. The vodka sauce tasted amazing. Their pizza dough is one of the best I have ever tasted. This restaurant will not disappoint; I can assure you because we are hard to please. read more

The best Italian food I have had in a long time! I had a tough time ordering because there are so many great choices. After a waitress recommendation, I ordered the Pasta primavera with shrimp and my friend had the pesto ravioli. Oh..my..god! I don't know what they put in it (crack? LoL) but it had The BEST taste. I ordered a half order because the full order is enough for two people and it was more than enough for me. The complimentary sourdough loaf style bread was yummy and an ample supply was given. We had before dinner drinks (martinis from their martini menu) at our table in the bar area. And they were the Bomb! They have an extensive drink menu. The server was super sweet and attentive and the atmosphere although not a romantic candlelit Swanky Italian atmosphere, was lively and friendly, and not too loud. Everyone seemed happy, even the staff. You could also sit outside next to a heater or fire pit if you get reservations on a weekend. We were seated quickly in the bar on a very hopping Friday night and totally happy about that. And we got out in under $100 for the two of us. My friend took most of her full order of ravioli home to feed her entire family for a week. Just kidding ha! It was such a great surprise. I will be back to try the chicken piccata! read more

I love this place! Everyone is so warm and welcoming, and the food is delicious! I love to sit at the bar, it feels like having dinner in a family kitchen, but the outside patio is great too! I have tried several of their pastas, the fettuccini Alfredo is absolute heaven. Their pizza is great too, plenty big enough to share, but my current favorite is their caprese salad. I asked them to add grilled shrimp, and they made a masterpiece! This is by far my favorite Italian place in the village. Ask for Sam she is an absolute doll! read more

Bad food and bill miscalculated and overcharged. We ordered halibut piccata with risotto came soaking in brown gravy and we had to return it, it was inedible. The second dish, eggplant Parmesan was just mediocre. They overcharged us by adding the tip on the bill including the dish we've already returned, the staff gave us an attitude as well when we questioned the overcharge. Unapologetic, bad attitude, bad food and customer service. Very disappointed. read more

Whoop whoop best italian restaurant ever. The staff is extremely nice even after my daughter spilled her entire drink all over the floor (embarrassing). They are open for dine in during Covid due to their peaceful protest. Thank you for that :). Anyways the restaurant is super cute and the wine/food menu is pretty good. I'd give it a 4.5 star. Lovely location. Efficient service and a wide variety of food on the menu. Given the number of Italian restaurants in the area, we chose to randomly pick one with a large number of people and we chose this one. There was a decent amount of wait, but you can leave your number and they'll give you a call to follow up with you when your table is available. The restaurant is situated in a plaza so there are other places to look around as you wait if you like. Ambiance is homey and casual. You can choose to dress up, but I feel like this is more of a family-dinner than a fancy location. Masks are required to be worn except when dining at your table. Some of their heaters aren't working so be cautious for cold nights. Food-wise, we had their filet mignon, a large margherita pizza, and an individual sized cheese with pepperoni added. For started, we had their calamari order as well. To start, the calamari order was possibly the better of what we ordered. The calamari was fried at a nice temperature, the batter wasn't overly thick, nicely salted, and the tomato dipping sauce accompanying it had a nice amount of tartness and sweetness to it to pair with the salty calamari. A decent amount of calamari was available and it wasn't just the head portions, but it came with the leg portions as well. On to the main entrees, the filet mignon was overcooked. We asked for medium well and it came out well done unfortunately. The meat itself was dry and honestly, I felt the piece was wasted because of how it was cooked. The accompanying sides were decent and held their own by themselves. The balsamic reduction was nicely done and was a saving grace when eaten with the steak. Aside from that, I can't say I recommend a filet mignon from them. Pizza-wise, the margherita was not what I expected - dough wise. I was looking forward to a crispy and chewy dough (what a margherita should be), but the pizza itself was just a regular pizza crust, which made us think we ordered a tomato, basil, and cheese pizza than margherita. Move past the dough, the ingredients were plenty and pretty fresh. The tomatoes were a bit undercooked and up to one's preference if they like it or not. The individual sized pizza had a lot of pepperoni on it, which was nice, but seeing the different sizes, I feel like it's definitely more worth if you just order the large and take home the leftovers. All in all, worth a try and to be fair, perhaps we didn't order the best items to review them. Most people seem to get their pasta items so if we are in the area, we may order a pasta item instead next time. Although, if it's on the menu, one would feel compelled to think they have a good grasp on the food item. A hard pass on the margherita in my opinion, but I can envision their other pizzas coming out quite well. read more
