I really loved the atmosphere! I loved out waitress Jessica P. She was amazing. I loved the seasoning of the chicken and thought the consistency of the corn bread with the sweet butter was delicious! Also the collards & coleslaw were tasty. Wasn't a fan of the Mac and cheese, I would not consider it southern. It reminded me of velveta ( not your southern baked Mac and cheese ) also not a fan of the brunch potatos. Margarita was on point! Look forward on coming back for dinner

Fried green tomatoes

First time at Greer and they got a vast menu that ranges from healthy bowls to classic Southern comfort food. Fried green tomatoes is a must get. I love their ranch sauce and the difference in textures of the fried coating and fresh green tomatoes that's slightly cooked from getting fried. I got their Icelandic Cod - which was cooked PERFECTLY. It tasted light and fresh with the coconut milk and saffron sauce, the fish itself was perfectly flaky.. I was very impressed as the last several times I had cod at other establishments they tend to be overcooked. Fried chicken was very addicting. Outside was so crunchy, meat was so juicy. Gimme 10 of 'em.

Staff was great, very well trained. Food was delicious and we can't wait to return to try more dishes. Beautiful interior and comfortable seating. They even have a private room for ten. So glad to have found a new favorite spot...next time we are going to try the short ribs!

I've been eyeing this spot since they opened and I finally got to try it. I was very impressed by everything! First the indoor decor was such nice ambiance and beautifully decorated. There were plenty of options on the menu. We went with briskly egg roll for app and buttermilk fried chicken entree with mac n cheese and a chicken and waffle entree. Just delicious!! I really enjoyed my meal here and would come back.

This was my second time to Greer Southern Table this month. Each time I've been, the waitstaff, hosts, and managers on duty have been extremely attentive and kind. Last night we had a girls night and Greer did not disappoint! We started with the cauliflower bites, char-grilled, fried green tomatoes, and warm crawfish dip. The bites and tomatoes were fried to perfection; crunchy goodness! For the dip, they were not shy with the crawfish; every scoop had an ample portion of well-seasoned meat. & as for the oysters, I was so happy to find a place outside of New Orleans that made these!! The best part about them was that they were HUGE!! I'm talking each one bigger than my hand! Just amazing. For my entree I decided to go with one of the specials. I had the cajun crawfish and andouille sausage pasta. My only critique was that it lacked seasoning. It felt like they relied on the saltiness of the sausage and parmesan cheese, but I found myself adding a lot of salt and pepper at the table. Regardless, I ate the whole thing so clearly it was not that big of an issue! & while we skipped over dessert, because we were rightfully stuffed, I made sure to order the thing I had been waiting for and thinking about ALL DAY; their lavender cappuccino. I had this the first time I came and fell in love! The lavender gives the perfect sweetness and aroma to the cap, and is a perfect way to end the meal. Greer Southern Table, I will be back!! Oh and thanks to our server Brian!! He handled 7 annoying ladies just perfectly!

This is my first time trying out Greer Southern Table, and it will definitely not be the last time. The decor and atmosphere of the place is very unique and charming. Service is great, our host Gabe was so sweet and accommodating. There's a great selection of drinks. But the star of the show is the food! We had fried oysters as starters, and they were out of this world. I had one of the specials, crawfish and andouille sausage pasta, and I think I licked the plate clean. Highly recommend, and can't wait to go back.

About as perfect as it gets. I stopped by here for an earlyish dinner (5pm) this past Saturday with my mother, a CT native who lives in northern Fairfield County. This was my first time, I think, in this downtown area of Norwalk, which is...an odd area. It looks like they haphazardly gentrified it five minutes ago, and no one knows it yet. I did enjoy the super wide streets and easy parking. Like a true adulting professional, I checked Greer's website beforehand and followed their recommendation to download the ParkMobile app, which is easy enough to use that you can probably just download it when you park somewhere - maybe I saved 15 seconds. But regardless, drama-free. My mother parked in the parking garage next door and reported no issues. Very pleasant atmosphere inside; airy with a lot of good lighting. I showed up first and was warmly greeted by multiple members of the staff (which I think was a coincidence; one or two extra just happened to be in the area at the time, but a nice touch nonetheless) and led to a table in the garden room by the window and POS system. Several of the cocktails looked intriguing, but I decided to go with the Rosemary Maple Bourbon Sour. Right choice. Having "sour" in the name can be a risk - I've had sours where that particular taste was just overpowering - but it was an excellent blend. The natural sweetness of the bourbon and the maple inclusion really balanced everything out. I had two of these bad boys, and quite willingly. I'd intently studied the menu ahead of time and intended to order the crawfish dip, but then saw a crawfish andouille pasta dish on the specials menu and obviously had to pivot last minute. Something tells me I wouldn't have gone wrong either way, but this was delicious. Super flavorful without being overwhelming, and a solid portion that still allowed for some room for dessert. It's a shame the crawfish are small, but that's just the burden of living in the Northeast - high taxes, small crawfish. And arguably, the small crawfish and lighter pasta allowed some room for a scrumptious dessert - I can never pass up maple bacon donuts. A delight, and very obviously made to order. I can't speak for everyone, but two of them was the perfect serving size for me but I imagine people who are less barbaric are satisfied with just one. The service was magnificent. Our waitress Sarah (sp?) was an absolute delight, stopping by regularly and providing a lot of welcome, personal input regarding various items on the menu. Just very warm and friendly, and that type of hospitality touch makes a difference. Loved her; a huge asset for the restaurant. I'm rarely in this area but it's nice to know there's an excellent option just off 95 that I can go to in lieu of one of the myriad of rest stops. Huge recommend.

This was a fun brunch! A waiter told me there's no charge for parking on Sundays, but perhaps do a bit of research yourself. I got one of the 7 or 8 spots in the Greer lot for a Sunday brunch. There's street parking and a garage nearby. Parking is quite a business operation in Norwalk. My wife and I tried Greer brunch to pass some time and it was delightful. Fresh atmosphere, good service and good food. The mimosas for $23 were great. While they aren't bottomless, they allow you to have 5 total pours. 1 + 4 refills... And they make them nice and strong. It's a good champagne to orange juice ratio. We stopped without needing the last refill. The crawfish dip was tasty, liked by both of us and we finished the whole platter. It comes with house chips that are swamp dusted. Overall, warm, yummy and addicting. The shrimp and grits was a little bland, but ok and maybe my wife didn't care for it much because we just scarfed another creamy dish. The bacon that comes with it was delicious!! My thigh high chicken sandwich was yummy! Crisp, juicy, flavorful and just a nice filling choice. The service here was great, very attentive and even after paying, the maitre'd offered us more Mimosa without even knowing how much we already had. We declined as we had over an hour drive home. If in the area, I'd certainly return. It was just a nice, cozy, enjoyable brunch.

This place is so cute. This is my second time here. The inside is so adorable and homey. Great vibe for southern food. The service is friendly and professional. They are great with giving advice on what to order too. The food... delish!!! The Shrimp & Grits were amazing. So much flavor it was out of this world. The chicken wings are also so crispy and flavorful. Brussel sprouts are also a must!

Dessert menu, we got the home made maple bacon doughnuts...I would so you a pic but we gobbled! Delish!!!!

Ok, this place is crazy good. Service was fantastic (big thanks to Chris and Alex)! The food was so good. My son and my husband were both so happy! I love this spot and have no idea how I missed it! It's a must! The fried chicken is fantastic! The cocktails (both non alcoholic and alcoholic were fantastic). The key lime martini was a dessert in a cup! A++++ I will def be back and the banquet rooms are gorg. I look forward to having an event here!

I stayed in the Norwalk and Stamford area for almost two weeks for work, went out to dinner every night, and this was the best place we tried. It is a bustling, loud, giant dining room and bar area. The food ranges from very good to fantastic. The service is on point, and the wait staff is well trained. If a server does not know the answer to a question, they say so and step out to run the question by the chef or manager and give the answer promptly. There were a couple issues with food temperature on a fish or two, and truthfully their self-stated signature dish - the fried chicken was bland, one guest in our party asked for two types of bourbon that both had about an ounce left in the bottle, but on the third try they had Knob Creek... but overall this is a very very good restaurant with an impressive cocktail menu made by skilled bartenders, an inventive southern inspired menu, and courteous and attentive servers. What more could you ask for?? There is a very small parking lot on the side, and then a giant parking garage just a bit further. Make the stop here.

What an excellent place to grab a bite to eat. We stopped in for brunch and had a great experience. For starters we had the brisket egg rolls which were absolutely delicious. A very nice sized portion. For our entrees I had the brisket French dip and my son had the chicken and walked. Both of our meals were absolutely delicious. Great flavor and the playoff was very good. The service was excellent, they did a great job of taking care of our needs and not being overwhelming.

Absolutely loved my experience at Greer Southern Table. I came here for my birthday and enjoyed everything. Firstly, the space is beautiful and service is spot on. For food, we ordered the beef short ribs and the fried chicken. Both 10/10! The fried chicken was definitely the star of the show. Highly recommend getting their house made habanero peach sauce to add on the chicken -- game changer! We also loved the friend green tomatoes and cauliflower bites. Looking forward to returning to try more of their menu items!

Service was great. I have the roast chicken and found it it be underseasoned. The grits flight and desserts were bomb.

We had to ask for a bigger table and was led towards the end. Very interesting menu, we had the pu'er tea, which is not very commonly offered in the Chinese restaurants in the area. Love the teapot presentation and overall the branding effort. We tried to order the soup dumpling but was told something wasn't working properly and it's going to take over an hour so next time. Got wontons in chili oil, love the flavor. The mushu pork, a little bit too sweet for me. And the beef chow fun, just can't go wrong with that, and the szichuan pot with cumin lamp. I think this more authentic Chinese but my husband felt the lamb was too oily. I requested to get the little cute cat cup for my daughter's lemonade order and they said yes, so it was a very cute touch. Very happy with the visit definitely a lot of potential we will be back.

I'm no foodie but I am Chinese/Japanese and can appreciate finer things in life when I see it. This place meet and exceeded my expectations. The wonderful speak-easy tamaki-ya room in the back is warmly lit and held at a nice volume, much quieter than the izakaya bar in the front. For small bites we had the Beet n Hijiki salad (highly recommend!), Agedashi tofu, and Torched Maine uni. For hand-rolls I had the Spanish Mackerel, Hokkaido Scallops, Ocean Trout, BBQ Eal & Foie Gras, and Cucumber ume. My wife had the Maine Uni, Hamachi, and Botan Ebi. Everything was good, but there were quite a few that were very good, and there were two that, for me, were the best that I've ever had in recent memory. For the Spanish Mackerel Chef Taibe put an interesting spin on it by topping it off with a traditional Chinese ginger and scallion garnish used in a tender chicken dish. It works, it balances out the briny taste of Spanish Mackerel... which is great... unless you LOVE the briny, savory, mineral, metallic, umami taste of fresh Spanish Mackerel :) The Hokkaido Scallops was, by quite a large margin, the best scallop dish I've ever had. The tender sweetness of the fresh scallop combined with a brown butter kewpie (how American!) and yuzu tobiko sauce swimmingly. Texture, temperature, taste, all perfect. I like eel and I love Unaju. But by far the biggest surprise was the BBQ Eal & Foie Gras (see pic). This dish alone warrants a culinary course. On the face of it, bbq, eel, foie gras all sets you up for something rich, filling, heavy. But when I bit into the unassuming hand roll, it was the lightest bite of Japanese rice/seafood/seaweed/liver/sauce combo I've ever had. Turns out Chef Taibe prepared the sauce from scratch using five+ different spices, and prepared the foie gras au torchon. I could go on, but suffice to say, this was one of the best bites I've ever had. By contrast, I thought I was going to close out with the cucumber ume roll, but compared to the eel and foie gras, the ume actually felt more overpowering. Perhaps if they cut back on the generous amount of ume paste... (Worthy mention: Chef Taibe presents the nori in a separate envelope. This seemingly simple step is crucial to the taste and mouthfeel of the hand roll. It provides a wonderful fresh crisp crunch to every bite and it does indeed make a difference. He mentioned he sources a special nori but I forgot the details, just know that it's really good) My wife loves uni, and I'll let her describe her experience (which she won't) but it was so good she had to order a second one. As if you need more convincing, we had a great experience and I think you will too. Bravo Chef, well done

The cocktail program is seriously one of the best in the area. Creative without being gimmicky, balanced, and clearly inspired by Japanese ingredients and technique. Every drink feels thoughtful and well executed -- the kind of place where you actually want to work your way through the menu. The food is where it really shines. The chef-owner's love of Japanese cuisine comes through in every detail. The yakitori program is outstanding and deeply traditional -- using all parts of the chicken the way it's done in Japan. It's respectful, intentional, and absolutely delicious. You don't often see that level of authenticity and execution locally. The bar bites are some of the best around. The fried chicken sando is one of my personal favorites -- perfectly crispy, juicy, balanced, and craveable. And the ramen? No one can hold a candle to it. The broth is deeply flavorful and layered, the noodles are spot on, and every topping feels purposeful. It's the kind of bowl you think about the next day. Perhaps the best kept secret in all of Norwalk is the back room -- the elegant Temaki-Ya. Tucked away behind an unmarked entrance, this intimate hand-roll bar feels almost like discovering a hidden Japanese speakeasy. The atmosphere is quiet and refined, the kind of place that's perfect for a special date night or a memorable evening with friends. The temaki (hand rolls) are beautifully composed, with thoughtful ingredient combinations that balance texture, flavor, and visual appeal. What makes this place special is the dual experience -- lively izakaya vibes in the front, elegant hand-roll bar in the back -- all tied together by serious culinary skill and genuine hospitality. Norwalk is lucky to have this spot.
