Going green for Greenwood! This chic elevated plant and gift store boutique is located on Ventura Place in Studio City right behind the split for its more famous sibling street Ventura Blvd. The Greenwood Shop is between Fonuts (a must) and Joan's On Third of Studio City (sister location to the original near the Grove - just as great). Greenwood carries a big variety of items including accessories, books, bath & beauty, cards (including gift cards), crystals, home decor, kitchenware, provisions, seasonal and more... Even some kid friendly toys/trinkets. Have stopped in on recommendation from my friend Tiffany a few times now and even have one plant that is still doing quite well from here (low light). Parking can be heavy (especially Sundays with the local farmer's market)... So many great businesses around, but you can definitely manage. I tend to go even more green and take the local LADOT DASH bus over that lets off on Laurel Canyon/ Ventura Place or the LA Metro nearby. It is on the pricey side compared to similar plant stores or gift shops, however I definitely try to support when I can and hope you will too! The service is always amazing and G.S. has a 10% off on their website when you sign up for free. Amazing women-owned and locally thriving business!

Very neat nursery-driven gift shop. I will definitely revisit to purchase gifts. The owner-clerk was very knowledgeable, passionate helpful. I was just browsing. Store was organized aesthetically pleasing. I was inspired to incorporate more plants into my home. The store will help and advise with plant care and maintenance. Parking was easy.

Adorable and friendly staff! LOVED speaking with them all

Adorable shop! Sweet associates who are clearly plant moms and plant dads. LOVED the fact I could just chat with them about the love of plants and their behavior. PROS: Adorable aesthetic Handmade products, like an etsy shop come to life Great & unique gift ideas Sweet and helpful associates Good vibes Supports & offers alot of small business products They are happy to pot a plant for you & talk plants with even the newest plant parent These Pros are honestly what saved this shop from getting only 3 stars. I wanted so badly to love this shop, being its only 10mins from my work. Unfortunately, the cons are a bummer. CONS: -No parking!!! It's on a busy street in studio city. It has 2 restaurants on that stretch of street and metered only street parking. I had to circle 3 or 4 times before finding a spot 10mins later. I almost left in frustration. -Pricing....whyyyy was everything so cute and sooo expensive. I wanted everything but was only able to leave with a $29 ornament. $31 for a basic pothos? Wait? Small deliciosa youngling, $21?? What? This was the killer for me. The trend of plant moms/dad's is so strong it appears to have driven up the market in these boutique shops which is such a bummer. -Lastly, The selection was not as large as I was hoping for. Only 2, not so healthy looking string of hearts, and charging $30? All in all, I would honestly just pop in to say hi to everyone and plant talk for a bit, as well stop in when I am looking for a thoughtful,, unique gift...But sadly not a go to place for plants.

I have gone to this shop tons of times and each time i have bought a plant from them, it has not done well and hasn't thrived. I started getting my plants directly from a distributor. The plants are extremely overpriced and while the store is cute, the plants are not worth the cost. Tons of other great shops!

One of the cutest plant shops in studio city!! I wanted to decorate my new apartment with some plants and spotted this shop on Yelp! The huge plant variety is insane and the aesthetic of this shop was just amazing. I ended up getting this calathea which fits perfectly in my room! It was a bit pricy but the unique varieties of plants were great!

From plant murderer, to plant mama, thanks to Greenwood!

I do not have a green thumb. I have murdered more plants than I like to admit. But Jaime and her staff have helped me find not one, but NINE plants that are thriving in my home! One is so happy that she has completely taken over my bathroom window. I've never been able to manage one happy plant, but to have a home full of happy plants has made me feel so accomplished! They took the time to talk about lighting, which directions my windows face, humidity levels of different rooms, and honest care instructions that set me up for success. And when I've fallen short, they've never judged me. We simply talked about what went wrong, and what might be a better option for my home and skill level. They are honest with me, without beig snobs, so I'm not too intimidated to try again. Beyond the plants, I've also found this place to be my go to for gifts. Crystals, candles, jewelry, and even hand crafted cards to top it off. And if you let them know it's a gift, they package it up so nicely! And so many of the items are local artists and small businesses, so I'm not only shopping small, I'm learning about amazing local products. (Shout out to Debbie Bean and PF Candle co!) I cannot recommend this place enough for plants, gifts, and overall magic in a store!

Greenwood is my go-to shop for gifts (and gifts for me) The store is gorgeous and filled with such lovely wares. I especially love their greeting card selection. I always grab at least a half dozen to replenish my card stash when I stop in. The staff is always very helpful and know their stuff when you need help with plants!

A matchbox I purchased with a view of the inside of the store.

Searching for Instagram-plant-goodness in real life? Look no further. This shop has a gorgeous aesthetic with very friendly staff. It's a bright and small shop overflowing with plants, ceramic pots, crystals, aprons, candles, matches, incense, and other cool quality items. The plants seem very healthy and well kept. The prices are decent. The parking is located in the back, and if you time it right, there's free street parking out front. It appears business is booming. When I arrived, they had just received a full shipment of healthy/beautiful plants. I'm not sure how they make this tiny store packed with items feel spacious and clean somehow they do! I would definitely come back!

    Daniel B.

This shop is great for first time or experienced plant owners. Knowledgeable staff who will help with potting and recommendations on watering and sunshine needed. There are also some really cool books, blankets, and candles here too. Check it out while you're at the weekly Farmers Market on Sundays!

I'm trying to get ahold of someone at the business who can help. I have no issue with the physical locations, which are great, but the landscape design service is the issue. I've contacted the physical location, filed a complaint with BBB #23207771, and tried to speak to many people and still cannot figure out the next steps. Here is my story, buyer beware. This is the timeline (see text messages): 1. Nov 2 2021 I initiated the project. 2. Brandon and I went back and forth on which planter to sue, and decided Nov 23rd 2021. 3. Had trouble reaching Brandon for 4 months from Nov 29 2021 - March 7 2022, he just didn't respond to my messages 4. April 7 2022, finally got the 4 large planters done, but they weren't as proposed. 5. Could not reach Brandon for another 8 months, Dec 27, 2022 he responded. 6. We were back and forth on trying to get him out to see what was done for the next 3 months, he kept setting up appointments and never showing up. 7. I sent him a video Feb 2023 of what was actually done (4 large planters), and he never responded after that. 8. I stopped into the Shermans Oaks store near me multiple times in 2023, each time I was promised a manager would reach out to me to figure out next steps, but never was contacted. It's possible they tried to call me and I missed it, they told me they would take care of things and not to escalate. 9. Finally, I got connected with Aaron July 31 2024, he investigated, offered to either refund me the undelivered order or give me a store credit of the amount +50% given the difficulty. I assumed he made notes, so I sat on it trying to figure out what to use the credit for. 10. This brings us to present day. I understand that it has been 3.5 years, but 2 years of that delay was spent trying to reach Brandon, and the last year, I thought we were in good shape after my conversation with Aaron. 11. I feel I've really been quite patient so far. The undelivered amount is $1959.99 + Tax. Hope this helps, at this point I just want to get this resolved, if we can apply this credit to another order I can move in this direction.
