Both times I've called this company they have scheduled a technician to come out to diagnos the same day of the call, and actually within a few hours of my call. Their staff has always been polite, professional, and timely. I'm very impressed with Tech Service First/AKA HVAC & Appliance Service FIRST. They came out to repair my ice crusher in the door of my freezer/refrigerator, approximately 6 - 8 months ago. They only charged me their standard $70 service fee and in less than 30 minutes my ice crusher was fixed. When they were leaving they said that if they needed to come back that they would need to replace a specific part and they quoted me a reasonable price, but so far, that that has not been needed. The ice crusher is still working perfectly and the refrigerator is over 13 years old. I just scheduled another appointment with them (today) because my over-range microwave (also 13 years old) door is starting to fall off and is causing major functionality issues. I will update this review once they are done with with my microwave and once I have time to see how the repair is working (if a repair is possible). I was planning on buying a new microwave/vent because it doesn't seem to be repairable, but for the sake of using things until they are no longer usable (greener perspective), and the potentially lower bill to fix the problem, I decided to give them a call again. My refrigerator stopped cooling sufficiently after a power outage at my house. I ran across this company on Yelp and decided to give them a call. They also go by the name "Tech Service First". I actually called another place first, though, and that first place said they could only come out a few days later. I really wanted someone to look at the fridge that day, instead. When you have a refrigerator that no longer works, it just becomes this huge, immediate disruption in your life that you really want to solve as soon as you can. Luckily, HVAC & Appliance Service First was able to send the technician, Daniel, to me in like 15 minutes - on a Saturday! That's insanely fast! Daniel was quickly able to give me a diagnostic. He was explaining it all to me, and I was overwhelmed by how much he knew. On that Saturday, he decided to have me check back with him in 24 hours after giving the fridge enough time to cool down completely. After 24 hours, the fridge still wasn't working, so I called him back. Again, he was able to come out quickly on the same day. This time he looked at the coolant pressure readings and discovered there was likely a leak in the coil. He gave me an estimate of how much it would cost to repair, and he made it clear that because the leak location could be somewhere else in the fridge (which might require tearing it apart!), it could mean that the repair still doesn't fix the problem and may end up costing even more. Based on that, I decided to buy a new fridge. The original fridge was 14 years old. It was old enough to justify getting a new one, rather than potentially wasting thousands of dollars trying to repair it. Daniel helped me make that decision. What's more, they charged me only for the first time they came out, because they only charge for the diagnostic, and this second day out was part of that process. I wanted to pay them for coming out the second day, but they said no. And what they charged was much less than what I thought I was going to be charged. If you can get Daniel, you'll be in good hands. He takes a methodical, conservative approach which will likely end up saving you money. I highly recommend the company and would definitely not hesitate to call them again when I need them. They are awesome! read more

He wasn't able to because it's such an old model but only charged me for the service call, which was lower than any other quote I had gotten. He was very personable and kept me up to speed as he was trying different things to fix the washer. I would definitely use these guys again. Service was available that same day! I'd lived with a frozen-up ice-maker for months. It wasn't an easy fix or diagnosis of the issue. I reached out to FIRST via yelp yesterday (aka Memorial Day 2022). They not only responded within 2 hours, but also scheduled an appointment the next day. Aliaksandr was timely and professional. Aliaksandr was extraordinarily thorough and not only went under the house to look at the drainage line, but also examined the entire Diamond Air minisplit unit. He took his time diagnosing and addressing the clogged unit (blew out the debris, leveled the unit, and cleaned out the drain channels). I have had consistent AC issues over the past 2 years. There have been 5 other AC repair folks who have come through and Aliaksandr was by far the most thorough out of all of them. The pricing was very reasonable. I had such a good experience with Fuse Hvac & Appliance Repair that I used them twice in one week. First, I smelled gas coming from my gas dryer. I shut off the gas and looked for an appliance repair on yelp. Fuse responded to my outreach within a few minute and scheduled me for the next day. The came right on time, worked quickly and fixed the issue. What I appreciate is that the repair person took time to explain where the leak was coming from, and checked the dryer for additional issues. The next day my microwave stopped working, it's a Bosch built in unit and not all repair services will (or want to) work on Bosch. I reached out to Fuse again, and again they responded quickly. When they came out to check the microwave they didn't have the part I needed, BUT took time to find the part and came out on the weekend to finish the repair. Fuse and Vlad were great. They sent Vlad out very quickly and he fixed the washer so quickly I asked if he could take a look at the ice maker in the fridge as well. They had to order a part that of course with COVID shipping delays took a little while to get in (no big deal to me at all, it is just ice). Vlad followed up when the part came in and now I am enjoying both the washer and the ice maker being fixed after months of just putting up with both of them being on the fritz. I will definitely call Fuse and request Vlad in the future. They did a great job and were always on time. The fees were reasonable. (Not sure what other reviewers were complaining about - no legit service company can do any repairs under $100 - they have to pay their employees, insurance, taxes, car/gas, etc. I run my own business so unless you want to YouTube the repair yourself then don't expect free service repairs, that's just unreasonable). I felt the prices were fair and the service was professional. Will definitely use them again. I first used Fuse to repair a refrigerator and freezer that wasn't cooling and then hired them again to fix my Air Conditioning unit. In both cases Alex not only fixed the issue but also went above and beyond by performing other preventative maintenance while doing the repair.
