We don't write this review lightly as we were regular customers of See and Be Seen.  We have always…read moretrusted them with our daughter's glasses since she was in Grade 2 (now 6).  Their service had always been great helping our daughter pick out glasses that suited her and making sure she felt comfortable in what she was wearing.  The price point was always higher than what we wanted to pay but we didn't let that bother us cause she would be a glasses/contact wearer the rest of her life so we wanted to make sure she was somewhere that made her comfortable. Unfortunately our recent experience is one that will ensure was our last visit to this establishment.  Our daughter, for the first time, snapped her glasses in half at the bridge.  We rushed to See and Be Seen Liberty Village to sort out a new pair for her.  They fit her quickly with a new pair of glasses for almost $900 and told us that they would typically be ready in 7-10 days but that they would put a rush on it so hopefully it would arrive earlier.  Seven days later we reached out to the store to find out if they would be arriving soon only to be told that they were still in the lab.  We were assured that someone at See and Be Seen would follow up with the lab because there was a rush on the order and provide us an update but worst case it would arrive early the following week.  We never heard back. On day 11 (early the following week) we still had not heard anything about the glasses so we decided to follow up.  Again we were told the order was still with the lab and there was no update.  This is when we realized no one had originally done the follow up.  At this point we escalated the issue and were told that they would follow up with the lab to ensure there is a rush on the order and get an estimate on when they would be delivered.  We requested a refund and was told the Director would need to address this.    When speaking with the Director we were told no refund could be done as the lenses had already been ordered and that the original timeline was 7-10 business days but could be as long as 10-14 business days.  We reiterated what we were told in store but was told repeatedly that would be impossible as their staff are all trained on business days. We asked to speak to the owner of the store and to this day have not heard back from them.  Our biggest issue is the lack of accountability from all parties involved.  My wife, daughter and I all heard 7-10 days but apparently that would be entirely impossible from their perspective.  To top this all off their best advice was for us to buy another pair of glasses (with a free lenses offer) for situations like this.  I'm not sure how many people can afford a $500 pair of glasses as a back up.  We finally received the glasses on day 13 after they had finally followed up with the lab.  I'm sure other people have had great experiences with them as we also had in the past.  But this last experience has certainly been the most ridiculous for us and will be the last time we purchase from this establishment.

I inquired about contact lenses and was told they will provide samples for no charge. I went back to get them and was charged $150 for a "fitting fee". Someone spent 10 minutes with me and could not get them fitted. So I had to pay the $150. They never told me there was fee for the help. Only when I was about to leave did they demand the money. It seems that they will find some way to squeeze money from you. We will never return to this place. Be careful and make sure you get clarity.

I've purchased numerous prescription eyeglasses and lenses for years from many different places and…read morewhile living in the beaches discovered 360 Eyecare. i found them honest, professional and reliable. After moving out of the area, I tried elsewhere for my needs and didn't get the same feeling of concern and honesty, so decided to return to 360 for any further needs. 4/5 months ago, I replaced lenses in 2 pairs of glasses and 2 pairs of sunglasses, and felt completely at ease that I was dealt with fairly and honesty. The fact that they said it wasn't a problem replacing regular lenses of my Prada sunglasses with prescription lenses, though previously others said they couldn't and said I'd need to buy new frames, built up my trust when after done the results where excellent. Also that 360 didn't recommend only the most expensive option, bought looked to what my usage and needs were to advise what different options I had at different price points. No over selling. Today they once again demonstrated their integrity, honesty and how much they value me as a client. I recently sat on my Sunglasses and bent the frame. While trying to fix it my self and get the lenses back in, I snapped it at one joint. I took it in and asked if they could fix it, or source a new frame. They looked and noted a screw was now broken and stuck inside so they'd need drill it out. I left and came back an hour or so later, and they fixed that, re-aligned the frame, but advised that one arm wasn't stable and likely would need to be replaced over time. I asked if they could get me new frames and they said likely only needed a new arm and even though they don't carry that line, nor sold me the frame originally would try and get one for me. When asked what I owed for the repair, they said "nothing", which surprised me more. Fixing a frame they hadn't sold me, free of charge. Telling me I didn't need buy new frames, but likely just a new arm. That is true customer service. Though there are a number of competitors in the beach, many who might initially appear to offer better prices, I have absolute faith in 360 Eyecare that they offer the best value, carry quality products and outstanding customer service. When it comes to eyeglasses which you use every waking hours, won't risk going to someplace else and ending up with an inferior product, paying for things I might really not need or worse not getting things I should and having to worry about how they might handle possible issues in the future.

They are located in an easily accessible location downtown, and they have great store hours (open weekdays till 7 and Saturday till 4). Makes it easy to book an appt if you work 9 to 5. The store is clean and organized. You can see the staff making good efforts to clean any surfaces that have been touched. I had an eye exam with Dr. Huang and she was lovely and made the experience very comfortable, as did her assistants. The store has a good selection of glasses, and they have some deals going on so a lens plus frame is under $400. The best part is, they are able to bill my insurance directly so I don't have to go through the hassle myself. Overall I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a glasses store/optometrist downtown!
