Darvin and his helper replaced my entire sprinkler control valve system, faulty sprinkler heads, and did some excavation to fix some leaky pipes. About 3 hours total - not a straightforward job since it also involved wiring and some backyard plumbing. I have an older house so they actually had to shutoff water to the house for a few hours. Not sure why the sprinkler system does not have a separate isolation valve. Maybe it does but its not obvious. Definitely recommend Ostwald Sprinkler Repair for quick turnarounds and responsive service, even on Sundays when most other sprinkler repair companies are closed.

One example that always stood out to me was when we had an issue around Christmas and he stopped by to replace a fuse and get our pump running again without charging us. Experiences like that are what make this review especially disappointing to write. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was extremely upsetting. Our well pump failed, leaving multiple families living on our property without running water during an emergency situation. When Jason arrived, he refused to perform the service due to the condition of the outdoor tank area and because our dog had not yet been put away, despite the fact that I immediately asked my daughter to secure the dog as soon as he arrived. I explained that we were in an emergency situation and offered to clean up whatever was needed if he would come back, and I was willing to pay additional costs if necessary. Instead, he refused the job entirely and left us without water. During a very stressful situation, I felt that I was treated with a lack of compassion and professionalism. This was not the first time we experienced difficulties during an urgent situation. On a previous occasion, after being without water for several days and making multiple attempts to reach him, I finally let him know that I needed immediate assistance and that, although I wanted to continue using N&S Pump because of our long history, I would have to call another company if I couldn't get a response. Rather than understanding the urgency of our situation, I was told that I would be making a mistake by going elsewhere and that no one else would offer me a better deal. That was a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience, especially after waiting several days for help. What made this most recent experience especially difficult was that after being turned away, we contacted another local company. They had someone at our property within 45 minutes, treated us with kindness and respect, offered us a very reasonable payment option, and completed the work without any complaints about the condition of the old tank house or the circumstances we were dealing with. Their compassion and professionalism during a family emergency highlighted what had been missing from our experience with N&S Pump. I understand that service providers have the right to decline a job if they feel conditions are unsafe. However, after many years as a customer, I expected better communication, more compassion, and a more professional response during a family emergency. I genuinely hope this feedback is taken constructively, because I know from past experience that this company is capable of providing much better service than what we received this time.
