Once again Lone Oak came through with amazing results. The previous owners thought it would be cute to plant their Christmas tree. Now 30+ years later it is a massive eye sore. My first review was 3 years ago and I've been remiss in keeping them updated every year I've used Lone Tree since. Just like the first review they always come out, get the job done quickly and efficiently, leaving the area clean as a whistle. The trees they work on are a nuisance and should never have been planted in the small area of the mobile home park behind me. They only grow in the direction of my backyard. Hence the yearly need. Matt comes out and gives the estimate and has always worked with me. He's very considerate even though he's running a business. We live out of town and have a rental house in Oakdale. We contacted Lone Oak Tree Service, by phone, and asked them to give us an estimate to remove two trees in the back yard. They agreed and sent the estimate. We came to Oakdale and met the tree service when we saw that there were three more trees that had to be removed and trimming that had to be done. Lone Oak gave us a new estimate and did the work. The price was very fair and the work was performed professionally. They removed the trees, stumps and all. The cleanup was great. Crew came out to clean three Palm trees. I had to continually come out and ask them to cut more as there work didn't even look like they had done anything. They became frustrated as I kept coming out. It made me uncomfortable having to ask someone to do there job right. I thought they know how to already. They left some pieces in the front and one started yelling, "hurry up before he comes" definitely showing signs of irritation that I might have something to say. Anyways I lost my money and Owner won't respond to my email. Good luck to everyone. read more

I recently used Matt and Lone Oak Tree Service a month ago. I have two (2) fruitless olive trees that were planted six years ago and they have not been trimmed as of yet. Matt and a 2 man crew arrived on time at 8 am.They trimmed and did weight reduction on an 11 yr old Chinese Elm tree that had never been trimmed took 2 hrs. The also took down a Crepe Myrtle tree. They were highly professional and cleaned up so well you'd never know any work was done. The price is very reasonable and they work with skill and are very professional. I would be wary of this company . They will use your tools and break them. Then the young supervisor will lie to the owner to cover for his crew. I had to pay them and them pay tomreplave tools and repair damage. Don't use if you can avoid. read more

Matt Hanko and his team at Lone Oak Tree Service are the BEST! They gave me my best estimate that was up to three times lower than the highest estimate we got to remove a huge pine tree in our back yard. They came with a crew of six or seven men and got the job done in about a day and a half whereas another estimate said it would take the whole week. Not only that, these guys clean up as they go and left our yard looking nearly perfect--as if they hadn't just removed a ton of tree! They also took out more roots extending beyond the stump with an ax, ground the stump down so I could replant, took out another decorative stump that was falling apart, and did it all with the greatest attitudes and helpfulness ever! The foreman was very knowledgeable about trees and gave me a whole education while he worked. These guys are really as good as it gets. Huge thanks to them--I would recommend them over and over.
