Once again I can always count on Charles Schwab. My husband and I just had a baby and with the most recent weather one of our medium sized fruit trees fell and was blocking the sidewalk. I called Charles and let him know the situation and he came right away and took care of it for us. I can't express my gratitude enough to him for his work. Highly recommend him for any tree maintenance you have! read more

This was such an odd experience. Called last Monday. He said he was napping and I woke him up. And proceeded to tell me he does that on Sunday's. I said "this is Monday " he said "oh" He asked me to text him my number and he would get back to me. He never text back. "He" is Charles. so I called back 20 minutes later. he was confused. He took my address and said he would come by next day (Tuesday) at 5 pm to give me a quote. At 5:10 I called to see if he was still coming as it was dark. He acted surprised .. then said " oh I forgot" can you give me your address again? I asked if this was his norm for doing business and he said "no" . I asked if he still wanted to come give a quote he said yes. he said tomorrow at 5 pm. I said are you sure? That's really cutting it close. He said I'm sure. Ok. We had a date for estimate. I got stuck in Oakdale with my grandson and text him I would be late which means we would have to reschedule due to it being dark. I felt horrible about it. I asked for him to please acknowledge my text that he received my text. he NEVER got back to me. he never answered his phone. I really hope there is nothing wrong with Charles. I really do. But this is just bad business. read more

Incredibly pleased with not only the job they did, but the service and professionalism. Showed up early, did a beautiful job on my very large pine tree, and left my property cleaner than before they got there. We loved how well they balanced the tree, how safety precautions were in place, and how informative they were throughout the entire process. Highly recommend this company for any tree needs. It's hard to find quality professionals who do the job so well and leave everything so clean. We definitely found the right company for the job. read more

I contacted this tree service after my co-worker recommended them to me. I contacted Charles Schwab's and they gave me a reasonable quote for my two redwood trees that same week. My trees were cut down a few days ago. The workers were here on time and very friendly. I am so happy with the results and space my backyard now has! They did a great job! Plus I don't have to worry about the branches falling on my roof each time there's a storm. read more

Charles Schwab came out to my elderly mothers home with Sypress trees loaded with widow makers, charged her below any quote given. I'll post before and after photos next review as I took them on her phone. I was expected for the quote much less and they went above and beyond, they were professional and compassionate. I would recommend this company to everyone and can't say enough about how professional and what they did for my mother, they arrived early and left late and the property was cleaner then when they arrived. Just want to say thank you to Charles and crew for an amazing job that I know you did it with a great heart. read more

They cut down a 40 foot tree that was only 10 feet away from our house...they were very careful and cleaned up their mess...

Using his services for at least five years now on our three palm trees and other trees they become an issue. His company always goes way out of their way to get the job done correctly clean up after themselves and then go over the job to make sure that you were satisfied. Highly recommend them for any work that you need done on your trees read more

I had asked for referrals on social media, Charles Schwab was cited over and over, I'm so pleased with the pruning on a very big Bradford Pear tree, Charles and his two employee's were the best! They pruned, they did not butcher, and they brought a very big shredder to dispose of the branches, they left the area very clean. The first photo is before, the second is after, they brought the branches up off the roof area, and on the pool side the pool guy will be thrilled not to have to wrestle the branches every week! Charles is also a licensed Arborist (tree surgeon) so there is an extra layer of expertise. read more

Professional. Courteous. Lowest price quoted. Cut our trees and cleaned up nicely. No complaints. I would definitely recommend this company.

After 3 or 4 quotes we choose Charles for his knowledge and customer service. There were some who showed up (or didn't show up) to quote out tree trimming needs but didn't have what we wanted. His quote was right in the middle. Some were cheeper and a few a lot more expensive. When Charles show up on time for our appointment he had a crew of workers and a boom truck with a chipper. They did a great job on all our large trees. The clean up was excellent. They even cleaned up all the debris that fell into my pool! Thank you for a great job. read more

Today SUCKED on so many levels! sounded like the roof caved in on my house when my tree fell! Thank God it didn't damage the roof, or break any windows. I desperately started calling tree removal companies trying to find someone to help. I called Charles Schwab's Tree Service Inc. They were booked solid and couldn't help me. Not even 20 mins later, I received a call from Mackman's Tree Care. He said that the lady from Charles Schwab referred him to me. She went out of her way to help a stranger that was having a bad day. I was so touched, I called and thanked her. They were there shortly and removed the tree. Both of these companies were amazing. I had to give them a shout out ! If your in need of tree services in the Central Valley I highly recommend them both. They are professional and good people read more

Called Charles and same day he was able to come out and give me an estimate. Checked three other companies and he was the lowest price. If you have a tree that needs any type of trim, removal, or love then call Charles. From the time of his estimate to the last branch he picked up, Charles and his crew were freakin SOLID. He knows his stuff, and not to mention he is a cool dude. They have a system for sure. From start to finish , he took 3 hours to remove a 75 ft pine tree, trim 4 live oaks and remove ugly bush type trees from my flower bed. Systematically is an understatement. The clean up was great too. My lawn never looked so good. I was fortunate enough to chat with Charles for about 15 minutes at the end. He walked the job, explained everything and even drilled holes into a stump for me in prep for some ground up. If I had the time, I would have had a beer with the guy and said thank you. Don't waste your time Read my review and give him a call. I'm not the internet review guy, I'm old school and so is Charles. What you see is what you get. read more

Moved into a new place where the trees have been neglected. Charles and his crew did a fantastic job bringing life to what we thought was a hopeless palm. He assured me there was a nice palm hidden under all that mess and he was right! Our pool was 3 feet away from the tree and they did an amazing job keeping the debris from falling in. Their clean up was impeccable. We'd never know they were here except now we have a clean, healthy looking palm. We'll be calling on Charles again for more work. Thanks you guys! read more

Charles Schwab's Tree Service does excellent work. I've used them to cut down a huge (36 year old) redwood tree out front, plus trim a large oak tree in back. They're reliable, professional and get the job done at a very reasonable price and clean up when they're finished. They even shut off their equipment so I could take one of my cats to the vet without scaring her and I really appreciate that! Highly recommended! read more

Terrible customer service. I called Tuesday for a quote to get 2 trees trimmed and he said he could come out Saturday. He took my name number and address and said he would call Friday to set up a time, I never heard back from him until Friday of the following week. He said he got called out of town. (It would have been nice to have had a heads up) when he finally did come out he acted like he did not want to be there at all. I ended up going to Home Depot and buying a pole saw for $100 and saved myself the $1,700 he wanted to charge. read more

We got three different estimates to remove several redwood trees and other trees/shrubs from our yard. Charles Schwab's had the lowest price. They were able to schedule the job quickly and arrived right on time. They worked really fast and got the entire job done in one day. They not only cleaned up after themselves, they even cleaned up all the redwood needles and leaves that were already in our yard before they came. They ground down the stumps really well and now you can't even tell that there were ever trees in our yard. I highly recommend this company! read more

Charles is very professional and shows commitment to customer service. He provided a competitive quote and then was prompt in executing the work. He removed around 10 or more trees, many which were large, and removed all the stumps and waste. Some of the trees were crossing into the neighbors property and he did a great job addressing those issues. When I went to see the work completed and saw a couple of things that got overlooked, he came right over and took care of things to my satisfaction. Very easy to work with. Quality work. read more

Took care of my big palm. Outstanding clean up job. Made sure the neighbors side was cleaned up too.

I called and texted him multiple times, he told me he would come by to give me an estimate, never showed up, never contacted me to explain why. I contacted him a second time to come out after he didn't show, I understand things come up, emergencies, etc. AGAIN, he told me he would come, never showed up, no contact, no explanation? This guy does not need the business, he must be to busy to not even show up TWICE! Don't waste your time like I did! So unprofessional. read more

Today was the second time we used Charles Schwab's tree service and both times we were very pleased with the work and service. Initially we had him cut down a big tree a few winters ago after damaged in a storm. He was professional and knowledgeable. My wife and I were impressed with him being an arborist and his general knowledge. We remembered his work and today had him do additional work before we have a new roof installed. He arrived on time and did everything plus a little more work we contracted with him to do. Will definitely call him anytime we need this kind of service as he's showed up on time with his work crew, did the job well and cleaned up. read more
