This was such an odd experience. Called last Monday. He said he was napping and I woke him up. And proceeded to tell me he does that on Sunday's. I said "this is Monday " he said "oh" He asked me to text him my number and he would get back to me. He never text back. "He" is Charles. so I called back 20 minutes later. he was confused. He took my address and said he would come by next day (Tuesday) at 5 pm to give me a quote. At 5:10 I called to see if he was still coming as it was dark. He acted surprised .. then said " oh I forgot" can you give me your address again? I asked if this was his norm for doing business and he said "no" . I asked if he still wanted to come give a quote he said yes. he said tomorrow at 5 pm. I said are you sure? That's really cutting it close. He said I'm sure. Ok. We had a date for estimate. I got stuck in Oakdale with my grandson and text him I would be late which means we would have to reschedule due to it being dark. I felt horrible about it. I asked for him to please acknowledge my text that he received my text. he NEVER got back to me. he never answered his phone. I really hope there is nothing wrong with Charles. I really do. Charles Schwab came out to my elderly mothers home with Sypress trees loaded with widow makers, charged her below any quote given. If you have a tree that needs any type of trim, removal, or love then call Charles. From the time of his estimate to the last branch he picked up, Charles and his crew were freakin SOLID. He knows his stuff, and not to mention he is a cool dude. They have a system for sure. From start to finish , he took 3 hours to remove a 75 ft pine tree, trim 4 live oaks and remove ugly bush type trees from my flower bed. Systematically is an understatement. The clean up was great too. My lawn never looked so good. I was fortunate enough to chat with Charles for about 15 minutes at the end. They're reliable, professional and get the job done at a very reasonable price and clean up when they're finished. We got three different estimates to remove several redwood trees and other trees/shrubs from our yard. Charles Schwab's had the lowest price. They were able to schedule the job quickly and arrived right on time. They worked really fast and got the entire job done in one day. They not only cleaned up after themselves, they even cleaned up all the redwood needles and leaves that were already in our yard before they came. Terrible customer service. I called Tuesday for a quote to get 2 trees trimmed and he said he could come out Saturday. He took my name number and address and said he would call Friday to set up a time, I never heard back from him until Friday of the following week. He said he got called out of town. (It would have been nice to have had a heads up) when he finally did come out he acted like he did not want to be there at all. I ended up going to Home Depot and buying a pole saw for $100 and saved myself the $1,700 he wanted to charge. read more
